Wintershall Dea is one of Norway’s biggest producers, delivering around 170,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
With fields under construction, Wintershall Dea will soon produce more than 200,000 daily barrels,
“The Norwegian Offshore Directorate has granted Wintershall Dea Norge AS a drilling permit for well 35/11-27 S offshore Norway.
The well, part of production license 248, will be drilled using the Transocean Norge semisubmersible.”
Oil looking perky so hopefully we will continue our journey upward….
Good to note that HBR Shorts have now clearly started to reduce their positions here, hopefully this trend will continue ahead, especially with USD $90+ Brent in place.

BoA use of swaps designed to make them a dirty buck is like having a poisonous tick constantly feeding off you - and however hard you try, you just can't get rid of it. In the end it sucks all the blood out of you before moving on to its next target.
It doesn't seem to have been very successful with the last lot of swaps it did whatever it does with, because HBR's SP has continued to advance, despite "Parasitic Arachnid Inc's" (a more appropriate name for BoA) attempts to depress the SP.
Good..........let's hope it continues.
jmo
Interestingly the swap that expired on 02/04/2024 was over 5 million shares, but over 10 million shares have now gone. Looks like another swap with expiration of 06/01/2025 has now gone, also over 5 million shares. Nice if these swaps were used for shorts and are now gone. Could be since dividend coming up . I’ll be keeping an eye on shorts levels to see if it reduces somewhat over the next few days.
GLG reduced their short position by 0.09% yesterday. Not much but a move in the right direction
Thanks Spec - News is a nut job.
ACA and KPMG for me.
Not sure why accountancy is not a trade - I have him on filter as its nonsense and his posts very poorly presented.
I've followed RRR and Andrew for nearly fifteen years. Only Zumore and possibly Robins has been around longer or as long. Helpful I would say has been here eight years.
News comes out of the blue when Lenigas RNS lands say three months ago and knows more than anyone. Sorry he's an idiot and best place for him is Filtered.
***o 1 took 78 days for 11,700 feet so that should give you some idea…
@Neversellshell22
Any idea when the drill will get to the target depth?
Share price seems to be anticipating success
There was a lengthy discussion last year about swaps and from memory, I think it was said that it is how BoA adjust their holding without actually owning shares.
Thanks Craig,
Could you shed a bit of light on what swaps are and when they might be used or of benefit to companies?
Thanks
These are swaps. If you look at a previous RNS, you can see a table of dates for these and we can see that a transaction was scheduled for 2/4/24 (below) There are four more years of these, if at all, it makes any impact.

******* patience? i have been here 6 years and listened to the same waffle over and over again.
“this time next year”
“don’t get a dividend like this anywhere else”( as you get a 10p dividend followed by 30p share price decimation)
“buy backs are great use of cash”
as we destroy are share price while the big boys exit.
honestly patience has not paid. look at the charts, and look at the world economy’s. there’s a reason why gold has done about 20% in 6 months.
Sitting duck I know some clever folk 3 things that drive the mkt oil $ and the us 10yr it's that simple
4 years of so many new accounts ts just like yours that have never been right because they havnt a clue to what actually moves the mkts
So spare me the lectures that not to say it's not going up or down it's just your just another one of the many who hasn't got a clue and probably set up a new account because your 2 embarrassed to post in your old one
No offence and all the best
Jefffff ;-)
It will make a big difference, Jack. Believe that.
Oil.could be in the 200s but it won't make a difference if the rest of what drives the sp dont align
From not a serious investor but a serious gambler ;-)
Stock markets may come down sighting sticky or higher inflation if oil goes up to $105+ level and the good old HBR may follow the downturn in stock market rather than higher oil price, such is this stock now!! Hopefully we see 320p level before all this happens. Wonder what will happens to HBR if oil starts falling back to low 80s!
In the last 23 years (the length of the chart), there has never been a down gap on the weekly oil chart (that I use) that has not filled. Currently there is a gap at $105 and a slightly larger gap at $120. So all those negging out about this stubborn stock - its worth coming back and checking the price once those gaps fill.
No idea when that will be, but they will fill, they always do.
If it hasn't broke 280p by then, I'm gonna sell up and go join the revolution with Rookie and his mates .
What will it take to break 280p once and for all..even $89 Brent is not sufficient for this stock
Rookie - why is it depressing you? Patience my friend. You'll get your 350p. But if you are still holding it then surely it makes sense to buy some more and bring your average down? Dividend coming up in May.
Remember - its impossible to go bankrupt if you don't have any debt.
Of course. Eyes wide open and only disrupted can save us. In particular looking forward to 24 years of Khan and now even our London friends are likely to be fined for tent living, a result of the govt policies.
We need a Reform.
How you keeping g mary have you heard the latest from the dictatorship people being forced to downsize there homes by compulsory purchase orders to house the illegals.

All just another conspiracy against the good normal folk
