How were the directors able to announce the sale at 7am ? That means they must have sold in a closed period surely which is forbidden?
UK corporate culture
Sold on £6.66 retained 666,666. Is he the one?
"don't worry, the recent accounts were great and you're safe to stay in - it's just that we've sold 2/3rds of our shares because we've got so many" ..................
..........."oh and by the way, I'm still willing to have more options awarded to me which I'll only cash in when I go in 3 years time, assuming it doesn't all crash and burn before then because the accounts aren't all they seem"........
.........all mythical of course - I just have a vivid imagination.
Extremely large directors' sales announced today. Seems to me that they are well aware of the regulatory direction of travel for the industry in which they operate. So holders should consider following their lead.

is there anywhere i could listen to this or will it be put up somewhere?
Hi Guys,
I was on the Webcast this am - what a spectacularly great set of results - I'll start with a few key quotes:
"Very strong growth with market share gains in all key territories" "We are growing faster than all our competitors"
"Ladbrokes integration- couldn't be going any better"
"Triennial Review - £2 FOBT - we're ready and we will take market share"
US Market - Kenny - even more bullish now. "We expect to be the market leader - anything else will not be acceptable"
Debt - 3x is comfortable - cost of debt is 4% and debt horizon for refinance is 2022. "GVC is highly cash generative and hence the guidance on dividend policy" Which is 10% p.a. growth on top of the 7% increase this year. Debt leverage will be taken down 0.5x each year going forward.
Hats off to Kenny and team - absolutely perfect execution - made some key promises also on his intention to lead the market on corporate responsibility.
Funnily enough Mr Market had the shares marked down prior to the webcast before coming to his senses and closing up 46p (7.07%) at 697p.
Regards, Maddox
Berenberg analyst Roberta Ciaccia is pleased GVC continues to report ‘excellent operational trends’ and believes online growth is the company’s jewel in the crown for future growth.

But they look godd to me
Maybe Vodaphone market capitalisation is £36.30 bn.....
Maybe. But why is VOD still in the FTSE?
Tempted to top up but the risk here as with many other stocks is investors selling into any slight rally - like with VOD.
I'm also in 888 hoping it'll creep up with all the expansion and gambling anti-sentiment priced in now.
we may drop a level on the ftse come wed, do we think this is ready baked into the price or if we do, drop further ?
Less than 3 weeks to wait. The market needs to hear a lot of very good news.
Holding well in declining market.....
Me also, all gamblers upto day and norm gvc lags. Not sure if will get out tomoz if I get me 10p or hold the roller coaster for results. But have 40k in cfd’s here so angry at myself for being heavy in when it dropped
Every dog has its day.........needs another 10p to break even.

Its pe ratio is 15 compared with GVC 9 and yield for PlAYTECH IS 2.7 FOR gvc 8.3 Know which I would rather have given their trackrecord aLso not quite comparing like with like..
Playtech looks very vulnerable to me. I used to own stock. One broker downgrade and another outright sell. Is it really a better bet than GVC.
Today.....Morgan Stanley assessment is Overweight....(stock is better value for money than others)
Share price is struggling because horse racing was postponed until middle of next week after an outbreak of equine influenza. Price looks so attractive...so I topped up with 1232 shares at 648.78

I have to agree BJ - SP was £9.50 three months ago and given the US situation, the future is looking very bright.
Good luck.
