Net revenue: +49% £6.2m
aEBITDA loss narrowed to £1.1m
5 yr CAGR +44%
Gross Profit margin 59.2%
Trade sales are up over 50%, International up over 70% and Direct to Consumer +29% as the UK premium sparkling wine market continues to take off.
Of the outlook, Charlie says:
"With these strong results, a fantastic harvest in 2022, the purchase of new land during the year and healthy inventory levels in our cellars, the Board continues to look to the future with great confidence as we further strengthen our position as one of the UK's most significant fine wine producers."
The only person to make money is the director lending the money who will skim off all the the cream assuming of course they can pay it!! 15% is amazingly good a return in the current climate....
OK Babbler - I will comment - British wine - so bad Brexit deal - plus global warming - maybe good British wine at competitive rates - but then global warming - more rain and no Atlantic Conveyer - colder days - less sunshine - better wines now cheaper from South America, Australia, New Zealand, Africa... Hmm - tricky one to call. Waving a big Union Flag though - go for it Tally-ho Bulldog spirit - and all that - or what ever. A nation turned from beer to wine and now deprived of cheapo continental Johnny foreigner plonk ?? This is a gamble with gaurentee dups and downs base don each years harvest - a specuator and hedge fund owners delight I suspect - but never had the chance to invest in such an undertking before (in profit btw)
British wine - no comment
whats happening here then? Been rising nicely last few days no comments...
Bit of a lifestyle share 72% owned by Lord Ashcroft. There is also the promise of further fund raises being needed. Stockopedia have screened it as a short sell. However, I rate this as one to have on the watch list; hundreds of acres of vineyards and a growing premium wine label will always be attractive assets.
the logical answer to that IMO is to up the bid and encourage sells, but that doesn't seem to have happened.
this is a total punt but RNS seems good and given my recent losses elsewhere, what's the worst that can happen lol
hardly worth it for £244 but let's see hahaha
all could get lol, and was quoted for them too
at 79.9
.?
took them 15 mins to get it methinks lol
Just executed!
no shares, no movement lol stalemate
Read the previous posts on how this share can really move... As Always... DYOR!
can't buy
GUS in the past and she can really move on small volume... There are so few shares on offer and the report was excellent.... As Always... DYOR!
And harvest!
Love the wine.....especially the Blanc de Blanc. Have every confidence this will come good, but will take time. Come back in 5 years and this will be something much more significant. Very thin market in the shares. Not much trading at all.
This is an active forum - haha. Thinking of buying in because this sparkling wine is amazing.
When is news next due over here?
The assets of the company are £7.12m, while the market cap is £14.5m, so it look as if the shares are valued at twice their net asset value.
I agree, the price has gone up on exuberance, while the literature says that it may be many years before results are seen at the vineyard. I sold some at 77p, some more at 98p, might hold on to my remaining tranche for a while.
