You don't have to forward sell no - you can decide to keep
CMC - contact their investors and ask them if they would like to take part in the placement - if their investors are interested they sign an NDA and are forbidden to buy or sell shares in the company until rns lands - funds are raised and given to gst - CMC markets get a headstart to forward sell the shares ensuring their investors a profit - then rns lands sometime later when everyone is happy - market finds out sp does what it does.
Ray, is forward selling an option or do the shares have to be sold.
That’s what I’m saying, forward selling shares your are going to get on a placing is wrong as it’s insider dealing !
You can dress it up any way you want but if you can’t sell share you own how can you sell forward sell shares you don’t own, Stinks.
When you sign the nda you're not allowed to trade until the rns lands. The placement shares are forward sold before they're issued.
So, I have seen some of your posts today on this MassiveRay.
So this is what stinks, you say if an investor here has shares then is approached for a placing that they become and insider and it’s illegal for them to sell shares into the market, that’s fair enough and I agree.
This is where it falls apart though, because if you take part in a placing you are also an insider, so how the flying Fk do you forward sell shares, this is insider trading as you are selling before the market gets wind at a higher price than you are buying for, it’s also a sh**er that companies release news that these w ⚓️ s use to sell into, same as brokers and MM who take shares, it should be stamped out.
Thing to understand is the placement investors are insiders and so it's been packaged to them to get involved.
Well put Billy...
That's more like a fairytale than a story Billy. Fact is a lot of rather peeved off people for the way they went about the placing. If a placing needs to happen, then it needs to happen, but don't blow smoke up everyone's brown hole then expect everyone to happy the next day.
Billy Zag is just a scummy little whinger, he goes from board to board whining that his trades aren't going well.
Like a little parasite buzzing around annoying the crap out of people trying to have a nice sunny picnic in the park.
Our sunny picnic will come and this little parasite will go away.

Company releases RNS saying we have just got contract for £x’s
Broker says to company we have a lot of interest and could do a fund raise at a minimal discount we have demand.
Company says sounds good only at X discount. So they cash in on demand. The key is when placing took place? A few days/weeks or month ago. Or last minute as RNS was received very well.
Point being GST is a tight lipped ship and there aren’t any leaks.
Now Brokers always approach Companies to do a fund raise. They aren’t stupid, they know which companies will need to raise to survive. Look at RRR that’s its only life line for survival placing after placing at the discretion of the Broker.
No need to RNS placing at the same time.

I think we should concentrate on the very positive first rns, particularly the Semnet contract. Also, if you can, use the placing as an opportunity to top up.
Does anyone know how long Semnet contract is for?
as said before, they could have combined the two as it just a **** take.
I don’t think any investor wants a placing for more…
Do you ever read your ramps? 😂😂😂
Just sit back and wait.
Totally right AHS, when they announce the aquisitions we will all be wishing they did a placement for more.
In about 4 weeks this will all be forgotten. People are just peeved who bought yesterday on the little spike after some great news on Semnet, so the placing today seems more discounted.
Raising cash today is very hard, and Gst has done it with ease at a decent discount, im sure Lord Wellesley helped with that.
Onwards to 5p!
The company put out (what I think is) a very encouraging RNS yesterday. I would imagine it was well received and consequently they have sought to raise capital off the back of it.
It’s a bit sneaky… probably could have gotten a better price… maybe they needed the cash quickly? Unexpected cost somewhere?
Could the company have given a corporate update, waited a week or so and achieved a better price on the placing. I personally, have treated the lower price now as an opportunity to add to my holding.
What do others think about the proximity of the 2 rns?
