Been looking at GOG. 2% spread is usually a sign of something to avoid.
No liquidity in the market to move fast.
FGP, SGC and NEX are all starting to recover and guess where I put most of my money after selling those stocks: GOG. :(
I was hoping GOG would rise off its recent lows like NEX did. I actually sold out of NEX to buy more GOG while it is still low, but it looks like I would have been better off keeping my old portfolio. I wonder how influential SGC's results on Friday will be.
I presume you are referring to CINE? If so they are over on another board...and it's probably busier than this one.
Agreed. Not the most convincing buy in from a highly paid insider.
Her remuneration for 2020 is 320k not 600. Also she is encouraged to build up to 64k shares as per the 2020 remuneration report and has 5 years to do so to fill the requirement (page 105).
So expect a few more buys from her but always good to see the board are aware that there needs to be alignment between shareholders and the individuals working in the company

compared to his £600K+ per year pay package not very convincing

Very nice to see GOG director buying £20K worth today.
It's like waiting for a bus that never turns up.
The volume has massively dropped off since it left the FTSE 250; it makes for a relatively uninteresting trading session...
Lock down won't matter much to this company. And they are sorting the German contract now. Hopefully they will have learnt some very valuable lessons to take into the new German contacts which come on line in 2021 and 2022. I'm very happy holding these.
Sold some SGC for a very small profit then went into GOG--currently at an average of 608p. I regret not buying some more NEX when it was below 120 so I'm taking advantage of this sub-600 price while it lasts. I'm nervous about the growing cases/lockdowns though...
It's a sea of blue.
Keep your chin up and hold firm bud. Government will support public transport. Long term this will rise.
So, the market values the SP less than over half what the company is actually worth. The government agrees a rescue back up plan and final results are better than expected. Yet, we end the week down. This is bonkers if you ask me and last Friday someone even bought £5 millions worth. Not sure where this is going now, extremely frustrating:(
I think the 90% of revenue claim in the media was a bit misleading. But realistically the government is going to prop up public transport indefinitely. Additionally, once normality does finally resume, this company has an excellent return on equity and has good growth prospects.
Far safer bet than one of my other holdings Cineworld.
Right after I buy some more, because of course.
I do like a bargain and public transport, have been long into both SGC and NEX. Good time to expand into GOG as well now.
Here goes!
It near enough broke even in a terrible year with the majority of its revenue contractually guaranteed. I don’t get it, either. Stock up while you can.
When you look at the 5 year chart, this price does look like an invitation to buy. Like you, I hold a few here and I may be holding a few more if they keep dangling the carrot! Very lively share lately.
I can't tie the Reuters report to the GOG financial results! I think Reuters fundamentally misunderstood the 90% revenue item plus put its own spin in re: uncertainty..

Very unusual to have bad reporting from Reuters (they did an earlier article in the morning which disappeared)
I think it's because sellers don't want to sell (for very good reasons) and BIG buyers want to hit a certain mark (they're trying their luck)
If you look at the size of trades this morning you can see it's small amounts indicating it's the home traders creating a false price. The real price (higher I think) will return when the overall risk appetite of bigger traders returns (which I assume will be early next year). This is a 2 year hold for me based on the results from this morning.
why is there such big difference when buying and selling
I wish I stuck to this and NEX instead of SGC. :(
