Whilst I like most people am happy with the recent appreciation in the share price here. I find the nearly 25% appreciation yesterday morning pre-announcement from GKO at 2pm.....highly suspect. Its almost like some insiders knowing that the announcement was coming out yesterday were trading in the shares.
Not sure it'll go much higher until the announcement. Possible max dilution price - allowing for bit of latitude from GEF - is probably 80p odd and upside much higher potentially. But you've got to ascribe "doing a daft deal" discount factor and so around here is probably right for now.
Plenty of buying this morning as news sinks in. This could easily be back over £1 in next few trading sessions with the right news. This has been oversold.
Meaningless price target until we know what deal looks like. Occurs to me the rise in the shares might hasten a deal.
One would think that entrepreneurs with listed equity ownership would do everything to maximise their share prices, so I assume Indians are no different in this respect. We must have faith that they will negotiate a solid deal here with the creditors rather than fixate on MW growth.
Investec currently have a BUY rec on Greenko and £1.50 target
I wonder what they are doing at the sub level? Bond or shares and cash? Hope it is not another stupid quasi equity convertible or something like that. Hmm.
Well it's the RNS they should have put out weeks ago. Result, the share price starts going the way it needs to go as the higher it goes, the less dilution, the higher it goes. But no real news and we will have to see what they can negotiate.
Great day here. I expect more rises again over next few trading sessions as news is imminent.
don't I know it .. and I bought in at regular intervals all the way down... if it ever got up to 170 again.. I'd be selling and making a reasonable profit.. could I replace the lost hair.. with the winnings.. probably not !
Deal to follow....SP should double up now imo.
This was 182p in the last year. Since then the business has operationally performed exceedingly well. Anyone buying in at this level is getting a bargain IMO
Next news will see this over £1. Strong Buy
for that.. but I guess by the looks of it .. whatever deal is being brokered would appear to be good for us PI's let's hope so .. I'm still well down on these bad boys.. even after 33% inc on one day .. infact would need another couple of days or more at this rate of increase to come back up to B/E
Wonder what "at a subsidiary level" means. Doesn't seem to imply cash - perhaps a conversion to a regular bond?
of a positive nature to report... look out for an RNS .. not usual for this share to climb so much in one session..
Yes there are a lot of lunatics out there and frankly the existing structures are not the best. Very high cost and potentially hideous dilution - as we know! But on the other side of the coin engineers are essential for putting in decent wind projects whilst being generally terrible at critiquing quasi equity structures!!
I am sure that any restructuring will be announced right at the last minute and that matters will be progressing in a very non-linear fashion very alien to the Western way of business. I hope they are willing to pay for some decent advice. Although the two founders have Warwick MBAs they are really engineers by background (software originally I seem to remember) and the finance function in Indian companies does not tend to have a high status. I seem to remember they used Rothschild Mumbai for certain advice on the original float and of course there is Arden.
I'd hope in the meantime that we might get some news around the loan(s) restructuring. They might be being all Indian about it and not overly obsessing, but I'm aware there is some pressure from larger shareholders to resolve the issue. .
Thanks Hounddog10
The next results will be the interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2015 and will be published in September (they have said this somewhere publicly). They changed their year end and reporting currency on the last set of accounts to 31 December (from 31 March) and USD (from Euro). It all makes it all rather complicated looking at their results (I constantly had to remind myself that the last accounts are only for 9 months not a year). When the interim results come out it will have to be borne in mind that this is a seasonal business and I think the results will now be skewed to the second half of the reporting year as the monsoon season in India when the wind blows and the rain pours is July to September. They have said they are anticipating getting a good part of their current build projects done before the monsoon but it will not be reflected in the first half results. I hope when they release the interims they pay attention to explaining any good operational news post 30 June 2014.
80p short term target on chart. Seller now cleared. Good luck
Well a bit perkier today. Still rather a long way to go to start registering less of a loss. Still further to go after that to start registering a profit. Well at least its going the right way pro tem.
