Not received our just rewards, buying far more than sells, cruel and not making much sense. A late strong rally is what we deserve! Come on you GGP, should be up by rights.

Itâs not the volume of buys against sells it is the price at which these buys are executed
Not sure why no body ever understands this dynamic
Excuses, excuses. MMs shafting us, Buys outstripping sells, Retail selling. Which one is it?
Personally I think all of the green money pulled out after someone belittled the bio pond!đ
Stop being silly Ben - this is a serious business.
Doesnt matter what anyone says, the market has taken back 16% in 2 days. have we not seen this exact same thing before multiple times. GGP in uncontroled beast regardless of news or no news. does what it wants until that gold comes up and that's what we are all here for
Spy, you've got it. GGP has been stuck in a range for ages now. Rinse and repeat until we get news of our future.
Come on Ace we all know what we are waiting for !
Until then itâs entertaining ourselves, whatever we put wonât make one bit of difference!
So enjoy and relax with ađș until the big day arrives!
All the best Ben
Ive no issue with traders, done a bit myself this week, but to just sit on over 25% rise with no news is a bit daft when you know what usually happens. i try not to get involved it the continual expressing it will keep rising. stuck out my view on 7.2 resistance which we are almost on now, said yesterday it would take back 7% thought the same today (missed it). don't see anything but another slip tomorrow. just hoping this telfer fiasco is sorted quick or at least tell us about the dtm.
Telfer fiasco is the perfect description. I mentioned my concerns regarding TSF issues in the Telegram Group and how it could affect us and they were shot down in flames - it was seen to be negative. Crazy.
What were your negatives?
No negatives, I just want to under further how the TSF issues implicate the timeline for us. But according to some people in the group, there is no implications and to suggest so is to been seen as negative. Dip had similar concerns but I canât talk for him.
I believe the Tailings issues are part of the sell process. Newmont stated they have a superior standard to Newcrest and theyâve employed specialists to check it over.
A buyer would need guarantees that the dams are structurally sound and now theyâre being upgraded. Yes it might hold the sell process up.
The new extension to the pond has been filling rapidly and it abuts the existing dam, this seems to have caused the issues.
Itâs not going to affect Ggp only the sell process. Newcrest were putting 20m tons tailings in these ponds annually, Ggp will only produce upto 3mt so shouldnât be a problem in the longer term
Hi James, was sorry to see you leave the group mate :-(
I've also been relieved of duty from admin team for expressing my disagreement in recent months with how some of the admin are not allowing debate or how they are behaving to some members who are more open to explore pro's and con's.
I'll just be posting in there as a member moving forward but 100% glad to be disassociated from some in admin as I only agreed to help to share the burden of managing the group- NOT stop folk from debating as long as not intentional FUD.
@Bamps , some were just discussing if these repairs might extend negotiations for Telfer as a perfectly reasonable scenario and I agree with you it might hold up a sale, it might not too, just something to keep an eye on if any details emerge albeit as investors we aren't privy to much detail :-)
Also it was discussed that if it develops that new facilities might hypothetically be needed in future, how it might affect negotiations as would influence the price any party may want to pay etc. Basically it was really just thinking scenario's through than assuming any negative outcomes with ill intention from anyone.
Hi Dip - I was sorry to see that you were excluded from admin duties. Your fair and balanced opinions are always much valued as are your superb transcripts of course. For what it's worth Shaun has told me that they are exploring the "optionality" that the Newmont decision presented and reckons there is a disconnect between the SP and the rising POG/POC prices. But they are just continuing to get on with business and deal with what is within their control.
Ahh the telegram group I was ejected from last May for having opinions
Hi Dip,
"I've also been relieved of duty from admin team for expressing my disagreement in recent months with how some of the admin are not allowing debate or how they are behaving to some members who are more open to explore pro's and con's."
Hi Bamps,
"I believe the Tailings issues are part of the sell process. Newmont stated they have a superior standard to Newcrest and theyâve employed specialists to check it over.
A buyer would need guarantees that the dams are structurally sound and now theyâre being upgraded. Yes it might hold the sell process up."
I'm all for open debate and discussion.
Shall we all stop ignoring the elephant in the room?
Telfer is not the issue here.
Perhaps I missed the "recent" official update on the LCA?
Not a dicky bird since the issue raised it's ugly head!
Dip - I did hear through people Iâve stayed in contact with that youâre no longer part of the support group. Itâs a terrible shame how that ended up, itâs fair to say the group has changed. Itâs not my group therefore not for me to be passing judgement upon, I just no longer wish to be part of something which doesnât allow for debate.
Bamps - the consideration that it could affect the sale process in turn affects GGP. As there are still unknowns, Iâm keeping my mind open as to what happens next, but Iâd be surprised if it doesnât shift things slightly to the right. But just my opinion.
Ninetopprizesof, there has indeed been an update on the LCA. Taken from the Havieron Update RNS on April 30th:
â Water management
Hydrogeological data collection and evaluation of the LCA was significantly progressed through the quarter. An updated predictive hydrogeological model was recently completed, based on measured real time flow rates and pressure from depressurisation bore holes in the LCA. Good correlation has been observed between the updated model and real time data collected, and accordingly the model's reliability is considered high.
Pleasingly, the potentially greater volumes of water that were anticipated in October 2023 have not eventuated, meaning that the project will continue with the surface water infrastructure design as submitted in the WA Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) referral, which is for a further three evaporation ponds that are constructed and utilised in a staged manner. Opportunities to bring forward approvals for the final three evaporation ponds are being progressed, and lining materials for two evaporation ponds have already been procured.
Additional work has also allowed the identification of the optimal location for the underground decline to pass through the aquifer where the Permian layer is shallower, and the decline design is being modified accordingly. This reduces the remaining development metres required through the Permian layer.â
Maybe someone should take that telegram group offline... đ
Methinks some are making too much of this tailings dam issue; the real discussion taking place is about pounds and pence and a decision can be announced at any time.
thank you, james.
in layman's terms does that translate as -
we have speeded up the evaluation of the lca because it is a major issue, (doesn't confirm anything).
we have updated our plan to deal with the issue, (doesn't confirm anything).
because we have updated our plan, it seems it is better than our previous plan, (doesn't confirm anything).
"pleasingly" the absolutely diabolical "guestimate" one of our apprentices put on water volume proved to be wrong and as such we are cracking on with our original plan, (doesn't confirm anything).
we haven't yet had approval, but we are so ****sure of ourselves, we have gone ahead and paid for the lining materials for a further 2 ponds.
we've identified an alternative "easier route" so we are modifying our original "abomination" of a plan, (doesn't confirm anything).
i have sent 19 emails to date asking for any sort of clarification, i have received zero responses.
Acechaser I agree, the way I see it in my simple mind, using the old house purchase analogy, surely itâs a bit like having a survey done on the property in question and then making an offer on the property âsubject toâ the electrical installation being tested or whatever. So long as the necessary work is carried out satisfactorily it doesnât really affect things too much. Newmont are obviously on top of the situation.
What if youâre in a chain and the people buying your house arenât willing to wait for a full re-wire? đ
