I have been tracking this share for 5 years the rise back to 2p+ was newcrest, since then newcrest have charged ahead with drilling Haviron they have not slowed down they have history here.
Something going on.
I don’t think the share price of GGP is being manipulated to hold it back. If you look at the share price chart, GGP has already appreciated considerably over the last couple of years. To move further GGP needs to pull in institutional investors. I keep checking the share register and the majority of shares appear to be held by private investors who hold their shares through Nominees like Hargreaves Lansdown. The largest single investor is Beetham, there are a few others like Primorus and Metal Tiger but still holding relatively small amounts. There is a distinct lack of specialist institutional investors, mining companies and HNWI. What is holding them back from buying? Perhaps they want to see more drill results confirming the size of the orebody before they commit.
Good post - that is what i keep asking and prevents me from going balls deep here.
Very true risehall
And you’re telling us why?
Sell if you think it’s going lower or you think that Newcrest ,the leading miner in Australia, are stringing us along.
But don’t see the point in your post unless you’re trying to be mischievous
Good luck in whatever you decide to do
Fair enough CCCC
I just think with everything we’ve heard from Newcrest through official channels, not hearsay or what we would like to happen, then I just can’t see them trying to get us on the cheap with all the other licenses we have that are showing promise. With the wider mining industry acknowledging that its exploration companies like ourselves that they need on side.
However I’m in no way an expert on mining/aim/big business so can’t guarantee that what you say couldn’t come true.
Me personally I believe that Hav is a mine in the making, how big is what we are waiting for (while not spending a penny trying to find out!) so while disappointing that the SP is where it is (my average being higher than most) I am confident that true value will out in the end. The expectations of what that true value is will be different for everyone, but I wouldn’t be happy to sell for 2.5p ;)
I think the sp is totally undervalued and I am balls deep, even worse,it’s just dropped to my average, holing it is the bottom as I topped up this week as per my investing and accumulating strategy with this share. I personally think it’s a fairly benign response, explorers sp doesn’t reflect their potential, and why should they really.the chances of finding a new discovery are not great,I personally believe HAV and surrounding projects like scally and the new Patterson ones identified in the last rns will be TIER 1,been here pre NM as a few others HAV,when potential wasn’t realised on eg we tanked hard,so yes I feel until proven up,no II is going to invest on potential, after all it is possible none of our other exciting prospects have anything and or HAV turned out to be four long thin zones we have magically and very luckily intersected but that’s it and too deep to make worth mining, imo very unlikely, but if that’s the case, back to .005 again I would have thought,so still a lot of risk, also have any of you seen Cadia and others and how many holes are drilled!its a little sobering, but NC have stayed 9-12m to find out the size and my timeframe is still another 2 years here (initially 5 year strat) I love and believe I’m this share and I agree it’s crazy cheap for what we potentially have,I just hope we realise that at HAV first and is dreamers like me maybe believe HAV is maybe the first of three/4 potentially huge discoveries,so life changing money possible, yes I think so,most here do,it is gold exploration may I remind us all!not exactly low risk or something you get init for a 20% pay day! I’ve taken my risk,I’ll live with my decision good or bad,but also, this has to be one of the most exciting and informed bbs and shares on the aim market!which I generally hate lol
Sandeep of NCM speaking just a couple of days ago was almost, just almost like an RNS in itself. Roughly translated (bearing in mind he knows more & data from holes we don't as yet) came across serious & satisfied in regards to Hav.
He gave the impression Havieron is still looking as good as ever. Thats enough for me.
Adding to that, as was noted earlier in the week, the use of Hav. images is a sure positive.
The Paterson certainly seems to be a very sought after area for exploration atm. with copper & gold rich ground.
I really feel GGP are motivated by this NCM farm in deal & more motivated than ever before.
They've got cash in the bank, wind in their sails, confident experts on board (since they've already done it once) & high potential of doing it again!
The SP, though lousy & volatile atm, will soon come good. Just a matter of time until that wakes up.
In the event of another find like Havieron - I just wander what that would do to the SP realistically.
But patience though patience.
Irons are in the fire & momentum is building thats the main thing.

So many hopes have been dashed so many times in those who follow this share. It's a long time since I contributed, but I watch the price out of interest and occasionally look at the chat. There have undoubtedly been opportunities to make and take profits along the way, because of volatility, but the idea that the share price will one day soar strikes me as a foolish fantasy.
When I last participated in these conversations, I pointed out that the company was first listed with a share price of 2p. Some thought that could not have been possible, but it's true, as anyone can see looking back. Now, after all the discoveries and confirmations of value - but only of stuff in the ground - the share price is merely 80% of where it started, many years ago. But that is not all.
Along the way, multiple shares have been issued, so that if the share price were still at 2p the market cap. would be £71.5m. Who is going to pay that to acquire GGP, when it has yet to turn its gold into cash? No-one. What is the most this company is conceivably worth?
To turn the gold etc into cash will require further investment, much, much more, whether it is done by GGP or another company. How, then, can anyone buying shares today, let alone at 2p, expect to make money out of GGP, other than from short term movements?
Someone will probably write in and say I'm missing something . Well, may be, but the facts I have set out above are pretty themselves fundamental, it seems to me. The shareholders have been consistently let down by the directors,. The value that might have been there, if at any time they had produced a workable plan to turn gold into cash, has surely been irretrievably lost.
Bott, what you are missing is everything !!hahahaha.clearly not invested nor aware of our current progress with our assets. Or did you invest at the 2p start because it’s been a very different company since Gervaise and the Patterson,oh and!we are gold exploration!company doesn’t hide their strategy ,we find it,miners buy it or jv etc
Most Pi's are probably in balls deep as a result of constant ramping over the years - and with every fall they buy in cheap (so they think). New Pis get sucked in. The MMs love this and simply reduce the price time and again to lock them in. But most are finding their portfolio is overloaded with a high risk asset (many are still in profit) but many Pis cannot afford to buy more even with good news and are indeed fearful for their investment long term as they do not have the funds to survive a longish decline. Sure there will be a time when share price recovers a little but not permanently until something really Major happens.
As for Institutional Investors with interests in Copper/Gold would you currently invest in GGP who have handed potentially 70% of their potential value to Newcrest. I think they would rather put their investments into Newcrest where the main value, if any, will be realised. Unless there is a clear path for GGP shareholders to realise their 30% share in the potential value realised, in any event, I think Institutional investors will hold off investing in GGP until positive results in relation to viability of the potential mine are known and that clear path established for GGP. Whilst GH has done an excellent job, thus far, the terms of the agreement still seems a little woolley especially as any Tolling agreement remains to be negotiated.
Any future JVs etc must give GGP some financial boost short term. It won't be good enough to bleat we are just an exploration company and expect little in the way of income when promising increasing shareholder value. AGM?
High risk to say the least but long term rewards should come. If the Gold is there in quantity it wont go away and most Pi's must work out their own way to survive until then if things become tougher. GLA.
