Fair enough Guy, I may not have seen everything. You have said yourself that you are angry. And you have admitted you were angry at yourself. We had this conversation days ago mate. I haven't noticed you being positive at all. I don't think this is the best investment ever. But nothing is all the time for everyone. It's worked well for me. But if it ain't working for you then either sell or wait depending on what you think it will do next. I am just pointing out that dissing your own investment is really dumb arse. You need it to build from here if you aren't going to average down. If it falls further and you can't afford to average down all the day traders will just milk it for 40% from 55-75p again and again until news. Your best interest is to do some research and share positives to help it build.
This ain't my main holding. I'm not putting a penny more in before news if I don't see sentiment improving. If I put £30k in from 50p in 2 weeks which you could help it to achieve the way you're going, my average will be less than half of yours. X50 others. Can't you see the implications?
A lot of threads were getting deleted tricky , probably because people were claiming they had been told by BC reps they got it in the 3rd April supposedly , which would be sensitive info hence the threads disappearing
You say this forum is to gauge opinion yet if anyone doesn’t claim this is the greatest stock to ever exist , the opinion is deemed not worthy and the person labelled a troll
You say I’m being angry which suggests you can’t read thst well , I’ve been generally positive I’m not 100% convinced this will turn around but more confident than I have been
Once again Guy, I really think you are saying something that is blatantly untrue. I haven't seen anyone say that they have been told GDR has been approved already. We all know it's in process because the FDA site can be easily accessed.
But you don't have to believe every poster or even anyone. These boards are good to share research and guage opinion but if you are putting your own money in you would check information wouldn't you? This is back to you being angry for your own decision and wanting to deflect responsibility to someone else. Hey ho. Think you are heading for my filter because I seem to be turning into your headmistress on a bad day. And that ain't a good look for me. Lol!
Preefty I am genuine and all I say is how I feel at that time , I’m feeling more positive than I was a couple weeks back , hopefully it’s not naivety
Tricky, when people buy in they obv think at that time they are getting a decent price. No one could have foreseen a year later we are still waiting. A mixture of bad luck and a few bad decisions from the company. POC was supposed to be out end of Q4 last year, for me that could have been the flag ship product for GDR if it could use saliva. My experience of PCR tests, brain ticklers is, start to be irritating. In UAE you can go to a drive through, pay 150DHMs and have a PCR result in 12 hours, £30. As all these companies have tests and covid reduces, the supply and demand will change from seller’s market to buyers market. No focusing on the EU marker earlier has be catastrophic for GDR, as India and USA has ducked us over on time scales.
I don't think tricky's ramping, I think he's quite correct, but that's just my opinion.
I do think it's foolish for genuine investors to be constantly posting worries or negativity because it CAN put off other investors and contribute at least to short term volatility.
That said I'm in for the long so not gonna lose sleep over it.
My last sentence is meant for current investors Dave777. Not sure what lessons there are for investors from your story. I always try to follow the concept 'buy low, sell high'. And don't get overexposed unless you can't find any risks. Yikes. £600k in at £1.80. I have up to £160k in trading accounts at any one time. Often have at least 40% in cash. Sounds like you have made a catastrophic error there mate. Not really sure what to say. Commiserations?
Eh? Think your last sentence is out of order Tricky, as a former share holder who was buying all the way from 180 down to my lowest buy in at 51p, the former being £40k. Being down over £600k, if I want to post my thinking which I have nit done for a long while, I will. I still look every morning for the RNS that will propel GDR, as there is a few good guys on here. But after travailing to 5 countries through the pandemic, having 8 PCR tests and seeing new technology I lost faith in GDR and moved my money. When you see the breath test, accuracy and speed, I think that was the final straw for me. I’m not here to de ramp, in fact if I see that RNS I keep looking for I may come back. But at the moment it looks like June for me with MOD contract and the AIHL roll out.
It's ridiculous to think we're too late. The government intend to ensure a UK diagnostics industry so that 1. We can squash all outbreaks of new variants (the South African variant is already posing a clear presence in London) to keep us on track with the roadmap 2. We can respond to any future pandemic without the ignominious choice of hundreds of thousands of deaths vs busting the economy again. GDR are part of the new generation of tests. Faster to produce and faster to process results whilst using less core resources. The PHE are now acknowledging that most PCRs are only 90% sensitive. Check out their website for the latest advice. GDR are closer to 99%. Once they get a foot in the door older tests will become redundant. The BC partnership means that GDR can step up to the challenge at scale. The only downside is your investment timescale. If investors show confidence new investors see that timescale as an opportunity to buy low. If we don't of course the sp could fall fast before we get the news we are waiting for.
The world is still in the midst of a pandemic. The ONS have just reported 150,000 cv19 deaths in the UK. We are in recovery mode. The whole country has been traumatised. We will be cautious for a long time and we will soon be using tests routinely. If you are a real investor and you want to see your share rise from here before news you need to take some responsibility for the decision you made to invest. Stop criticising or stop posting.
Preefty it’s easy to be positive whilst still in profit , I totally get that .. when we was over £1 bouncing around I didn’t care to much due to being up
Tricky I have been more positive I think it will come good , but at the same time let’s be honest if there was something to talk up I would be and so would many others , but it’s the same old potential with us
If new investors want to listen to me that’s on them I’m just calling it how I see it but there are rampers on here that would be more dangerous to listen to who claim they buy thousands on every dip and how they have the inside scoop and are told it’s approved already
Well Guy Incognito, if you are invested maybe you should focus more on your feelings of hope rather than your feelings of gloom. Gloom is infectious if you keep banging on about it. Do you think new investors are encouraged by your actions? How do you think the sp will move up? I am thinking about another buy because of my convictions on this share. But every day I read your anxiety writ large makes me think I will delay to get in cheaper and enjoy a lower average.
Yes moved after a nearly a year of waking up at 6.45 looking for an RNS and being down a huge amount. Fingers crossed that fda lands, I was being honest.
Why do people convince them selves that someone saying something negative and not ramping this to the moon = paid deramper
Are we in strong position compared to a month ago ? No , it’s not deramping to say that , surely you understand why some people aren’t happy with the current situation
That being said this can change any moment , what makes it frustrating is seeing other companies are getting fda/eua , I just hope we aren’t to far behind
There is also the fact that global new cases are still rising, most countries have an upward trend in new cases over the recent days and weeks. With the South African variant and issues with vacines on top, I defintely don't think Genedrive are too late. EUA approvals are coming through daily, so evidently they are needed.
I’m guessing Dave moved it to BMN. Fair play but less negative comments would be appreciated here.
Can buy 27,499 shares at 70p but no quote on Barclays for 27,501
Didn’t you have a lot in here Dave
Hi Dave77,
Are you still invested here in GDR ?
Yes, I think they will. I think it's a misunderstanding to think it's late in the day, especially for PCR, and genedrive has one of the better technologies now being marketed by BC for new contracts. Any new others also have to go through FDA in the US too. Not to mention the PoC forthcoming
The frustration is, a great product that has been thwarted by US FDA. Looking at the UK covid vaccine programme around 40% and talk of level 1 by June. As much as I hate to say it, I think GDR has missed the boat, new better cheaper technology/ tests. If it takes another month as any are touting May to end of May for that approval. Can GDR make huge revenue this late in the day?
