If GDR was bought out what would be the most likely share offer price do you think? Or not possible to say?
Well had a highly successful rock pool fishing expedition with kids this pm plus pooped on by seagull this week and gull swooped in to steal my ice cream this morn (who knew they were vegan!)....something clearly brewing ;9)
Hol RNS would be nice, but still think next week, or following.

Thanks Philjpo,
I guess GDR have their reasons, and know what they are doing.
It must be a nightmare to work through.
It’s a huge risk, GDR playing with the big boys and if the big boys want it they will get it so they need to get the legals straight.
Only my opinion before everyone says what......
Is this good or bad thing
I see this dog still dragging its arse along the grass!!
Dream on, GDR with give Beckman the ingredients. No faith in these what’s so ever.
Grim I apologise.
Philjo
Did the company say they applied directly or did Walbrook?
DIVOC are non-exclusive in India so that would make sense
Thanks Technick,
Does this mean that most African Countries would run their own Approval Tests, and so long as these results align to GDR's Test result claims, then this would be good enough for market entry ? And they would not need WHO Approval ?
I was surprised to read in this Trading update that GDR are in the process of registering the GDR product locally, but I suppose the delay was in having to firstly sign up the Distributors across Africa.
Its easy to see why everything takes so much time, considering all the Hoops that have to be jumped through !
BigAl, yes I think most countries have their own approval processes but the trials would be small and quick to compare performance.
Roche bought iQuum in 2014 for $450m, GDR similar in some ways although the iQuum box was a lab bench not as portable. GDR also have assays so without COVID they are similar. COVID just pays for the acquisition! In many ways iQuum and GDR are similar so the cost comparison is interesting.
Hi kd82,
I have just read back through the RNS Trading Update (dated 10th July), because I remember DB said something about WHO Approval in reference to Africa orders:
This is what DB said:- - The Company has signed a number of distributors across Africa and is in the process of registering the product locally. The CoV-2 Test was submitted for WHO approval in early June, although this is not a primary focus for market entry as many African countries have their own approval processes.
I read this as meaning, we will need most African Countries to run our RT-PCR Test through their own individual Approval process ?
I am unsure whether having WHO Approval gives us market entry into the African Countries that have their own Approval process ?
It maybe that only the minority of African Countries that do not have their own Approval process, will need the WHO Approval ?
Dave, may be pleasantly surprised ;)
Ty, if we ever get to that level I buy you a good bottle.
Major, well other way round from how they work out the market cap from current price.
So if we say the offer (new market cap) is £200m we just divide that by the number of shares in issue 51.96m (last RNS) to get approx £3.86 per share.
How do you calculate that do you have any formula for calc the SP with Mkt Cap and Shares in issue? TA
Dave, just under 52m share so £200m is £3.86 ps
IF there is an offer it will be at the end of validation process and there will already be approvals and initial sales before then and we should already be at the high £1 low £2 level anyway IMHO
Grim, I hope you are right!
Hi BigAl, yes I wondered just that earlier, saves time and costs if they knew it was coming through anyway. Speculation of course.
Hi Technick,
It does make sense for India regulators to wait for the FDA to come through, saves them the time of processing out RT-PCR, amongst All the other Lab Tests they are currently conducting.
Do you think the regulators in India will be in close contact with the regulators in USA, and vice versa ?
@technik - we already follow Cepheid’s naming convention - GeneXpert® System ;9)

Also note Hep C features heavily...

I just hope that if there is an offer the price is good enough for those who bought in the high £1s or low £2s
Regarding WHO approval, I think we are still at least 1-2 weeks away. We worked out a few days ago that Mologic are about 1-2 weeks ahead of us. As long as no issues present themselves either side then we should get it just after they do.
i think at the present time Dave yes they would but by the time an offer is made i think there will be a very different picture
My guess is that by the time they make an offer MMcap will be north of £200M
If GDR can get sizable sales outside of the Beckman partnership say in India or Africa we are looking at a very different ball park figure.
