Hi Stocksaint - I wonder if there is more good news pending - I think its very possible because its normal course of business when you want money, do it off the back of something..I have therefore thought about wanging 10K in to this, but with the discounted offer I reckon there would be a tiny window to buy and then jump back out before having to take up your options. Overall I still think you re better off waiting but what do I know!!!
Decent points Franky. But why do they keep talking about a raise in RNSs etc, but not actually announcing it???
Remember when people used to say a HNWI would just give us the money 🤦♂️
Here is the worst case scenario which is a very real one. Firstly, GDR do a successful raise at 2-3p and get 3-5 million of cash in bank. SHs take up the offer and then....secondly the cash still runs out before they can reach a cash neutral or positive place in another 18 months which is an entirely feasible outcome. So you have more exposure, more risk and all to be in exactly the same moment having spaffed yet more up the wall. Methinks there are better ways to invest than in this crock. I personally think that the raise will only be partially successful and that it'll give 12 months to get a sell organised. This outfit needs 3 more years to get to a a good place and you investors need to be thinking 3-5 years. That's when you'd see dividends worth the value of your current SP. You all think like traders though aka what the share price is...sod that - you want an income surely??!!!! thats years away.
That doubles the share issue!!!!
167 000 000 is 5million raise @ 3p Oh dear dear dear!!!!
One big reason they won't go private any time soon is because there's virtually no II shareholders in this of any significance. It's all about PIs, and GDR know there's no chance you lot would vote through delisting!
WTF Raised 5 million that's their annual cash burn!!!!
Their income is a pi ss in the wind!!!!
'with no company income'
Slacker, read some of the recent RNSs there are clues contained within that will show this statement is 100% incorrect. They now earn £250k every six months, which is up from £50k in the six months previous to that. Sales are going in the right direction. Slowly. The next six months might also be double or triple the £250k
Personally I would rather take any amount of dilution than see this go private and lose everything.
If they raised £5m at 3p then I stand a chance of getting my investment back. I want to Cheek to take what ever funding he can get at what ever price rather than consider leaving us all high and dry. What would you prefer?
Roger , 99% people are grown ups here , everyone has their own agenda and plan ,( I am sure u have your own :-)) , GDR is very small company and they crossed many hurdles to be here .. ( some good decisions and some bad on the way) , They are in very good position than last year, things might not go in straight as they would expect from here but future looking very good , risk vs reward is great at the moment , I will continue investing as I believe this will come good . Lol I don’t understand one thing Few people always here on this BB like they do on instagram or TikTok shooting down every poster (good or bad ) . Forgive my English it’s not my first language as common sense .
Can you imagine the dilution that is coming here!!!
They spendc4.8million a year to keep lights on!!!
How much do they need for FDA application and data gathering???
Do the maths!!??
They oay Cheeky 300 000k with no company income ,how is this actually possible!!!
Come on Lionel, you're one of the more reasonable posters on this bb. You must see that this is both good and bad news. Good in that finally the process will start soon to gain approval from the FDA. Bad in that GDR still don't have the funding to embark on the clinical trials and the fact that FDA approval is most likely two years away.
GDR won't be around that long I fear. Cheek and Gilham will have no alternative to take the company private and shaft all existing retail share holders.
Every time i think there might be a chink of light for GDR the door is slammed shut by the market reaction to any news put out. If' it's good the sp drops a bit. If it's bad the sp tanks.
Looks like games are being played with the SP
What have I missed , or are people just mass selling expecting a placing
3p is the best price they can get on funding...imo..no one is going to investhete until fundinh is sortef the longer tbey waot the price will go down..imho
After placing the order GDR will be good
in the mean time worth a look at RUA ( billion dollar industry disruptor)
Slacker no!!!
placing soon, but at what price? 1p?
EOTB - at least they are being honest about it.
Earlier this week GST released a positive corporate update which saw the sp out of the traps. the very next day they announced a big placing. Admittedly at not that much of a discount but the usual forward selling shenanigans had all happened by that point. People bought in and found themselves with a 40% loss with in hours of investing.
Unless there is very positive news from NICE public consultation tomorrow or early next week then I too think this will be taken private. The market is showing Cheek and his pals Gino and Russ what they think of the rate of progress so far. At this rate they will have to go back to RF for another drawdown but...has the US pharma partner insisted they don't do that and find money elsewhere? Who knows. What is clear is that they either can't raise any money via the usual routes or they don't want to just yet for some reason. I am convinced the RNS yesterday was to try and cause a spike in the sp and get a raise away at a higher price. Unfortunately as many have already posted, it just doesn't work these days for a CEO to say things are great and we're about to do a raise and dilute your investment and expect an upturn in sentiment.
One thing that keeps lurking at the back of my mind though is...if I were the entity offering to fund GDR then I would want to do it at the lowest possible price in the knowledge that rather than forward selling and making a 30/40/50% profit in a wekk that I would likely make a profit of 500% if I hold for just another two or three months and wait for the expected NICE news of FULL recommendation of CYP2C19.
This is the problem with AIM CEOs as far as i can tell, absolutely none of them are open and honest and now there is almost zero trust form the market in any comms put out. It's causing long term damage to the LSE too and AIM I think is in danger of being wound up altogether if the FCA continues to allow AIM Directors to financially rape retail investors the way it currently does.
Well based on the results statement they will be out of cash circa 20th June by the look of it so something has to give here.
There has to be discussions going on
I hope it is at 5p as the higher it is, the more likely it is to go up again.
Some reality setting in now it seems.
Funding next, in a brutal market to seek it.
3p to 3.5p would be a major result at this juncture.
I hope not as shareholders deserve a buyout one day of over 20p a share. I been in it for nearly 3 years and made a loss and was hoping to make it back one day with this stock.
Complete binary play ere now. I'm fearful that they haven't raised before now because they cannot get the backing. The possibility of taking it pruvate is v real imo.Possible delisting on the
cards
