Do the non-gdg companies have any other revenue sources? If not, I'm not sure why they're separate entities. Other than for potentially moving money around as it suits the master. That aside, at the moment gdg may wish to contribute to plow money in to increase production or may wish to scale back to ensure profit. However, I remain sceptical of companies where one person holds the majority of votes. Their interests may be quite different from those of the other shareholders (ie pay out through salary to board rather than through dividends).
lts plain to see that Randeep has manipulated the amount of Lifabric Wells drilled by G.D.L.in recent times , mainly for financial reasons it appears , together with all the developement of infrostructure etc.. Only 23 Lifabric wells have been drilled & completed out of 150 planned well programme instagated over 3 years ago lf G.D.G.dont get there finger out soon & mobilize more G.D.L. lifabric drilling , there own progress & gas targets are surely going to start suffering . lts the Chinese year of the Monkey , so come on Randeep , stop Monkeying around & get your companies mobilized , motivated , & moving forwards finally .
Year end 2013 G.D.G. had non-current-liability of $176 inclusive of provision sum $ 13 M. share towards the infrostructure costs . The rest being ( non cash ajustment for tax ) Year end 2014 G.D.G. had $ 531 .M. non-current-liability inclusive of $367 M. provision for costs towards infrostructure sharing costs with partners C.U.C.B.M , CNOOK. & PETRO CHINA.. Our share in infrostructure cost in one year jumped from $ 13 M. To $ 367 M. Why the sudden rise .? The big Chinese companies probably do all this work themselves anyway , making even more money . Anyway our non-current-liabilities end of year 2014 were Total of $ 662 M. ( Makes you think !! ) As you say Themerlin what will are liabilities be at year end 2015 .? lt also makes you wonder why G.E.L. as a service provider is not doing a lot better with these enormouse service developement costs involved . l hope you dont think im over reacting with some of this stuff ,but im both invested in G.D.L & G.D.G. & now always looking for the sting in the tale with Mr Grewals companies , So im now moving forwards with eyes wide open & not half shut , as i probably was before .especially with G.D.L. Your S/P target Themerlin does seem optomistic moving towards £ 10 per share , taking some of the above facts into consideration , although l sincerely hope your right . How do you arrive at that figure .? Cheers !
This was for Dec 2014 do you know the 2015 numbers yet ?
Hi guys, does,nt anybody know what the $530 . M liability " Provision " is , its a lot of money & a lot more than on last years balance sheet . lm sure theres a perfectly simple explanation , but l dont know . Do you ?.
Does anybody know . (click at top Fundamentals ) & scroll " Ballance sheet " Non current liabilities & note , ( Provisions ) : $530 . 51 Million . What are the provisions amount for & what does that money represent if its a liability . Could it be money in contribution towards infrostructure as per aggreement with Chinese Co. etc. Comments Please !!

This is gonna be a much better year for GDG and GDL will follow
Huge re-rate underway Looking extremely good in 2016
So cmon why no rise out of interest ? Gdg twitter feed was going great today is this is a hidden stock or what ?
Strong outlook and improved 2015 At last this business looks as though they may come good on their many promises. If they do this is a £10 stock again.
2016/2017 sounds like massive production increases brilliant !!!
Hopefully see this reflected in the share price today
China's energy consumption target for gas is 4X more than currently used 400%!!! Of course it will go up
D Day looming, update on the 3rd, will that advertisement in the DM on the 24th prove to be a great tip or another one of their rose tinted paid for ads
I decided to act on the old adage sell on rumour buy on fact so cleared out this morning at a loss but didn't have many. If the news is good, GDL will bounce and that's where I have a sizeable investment. Time will tell. GLA.
I wouldn't say they were drowning in debt...the bond is not due till 2017. They still have the option of raising cash via a RBL and Asset sale. I dont think a placing is on the cards.
They're already starting to drown in debt - adding to it would just increase cashburn
considering the finance options they could consider, i would be very surprised if they did a placing. Why would Randeep the Chairman dilute his massive holding?
Imo the article/promotion is another sign that a placing is coming up very soon, probably at a big discount in the current climate. Judging by the recent cashburn they'll need to do it before the accounts are signed off.
Your right, pathetic volume to justify this kind of rise, just an RNS saying news is due and a poxy Midas advertisement ( Ooops meant to say article ), as mentioned before lots of previous with Dragon and if the company update is flat or worse then this will plunge like a stone, if your a gambler then its maybe worth a punt but if a LTH then best to wait until after the update as if its good it will be pretty cheap at these kind of prices and maybe would be worth a punt, buy on rumour sell on fact as the old saying goes
up just cause they have given the date of an update - and all DMA driven on low volume - the whole group ain't right - this, RC Chandler, news black out on subsids, no wide shareholder base etc. V high risk imo
Do you mean GDL? It will take a miracle to move GEL! If GDG holds after the update, GDL could well mo w close to 10. It's been overlooked IMHO unless of course the Daikt Mail has it wrong....
Better be a cracking company update, if another fall flat on the face one comes out with nasties hidden in the management speak then no amount of Midas updates will bring this back.
Good article, gel can't be too far away from a decent rise. Still under the radar
