Should have really added in last post ..... downward spiral at the moment but IMO is near the bottom Just to clarify.
Just taken a very small toe dip here 1000 shares, but will add as time goes buy my main investments are FPM built up over several years and HNR a recent investment like to concentrate on energy sector and this one although on a downward spiral at the moment looks like a reasonable investment longer term to keep adding as time goes buy. GLA
and now the reverse, someone selling 5k chunks...lol
someone been buying in 5k blocks as of last week...
My views remain more or less the same as before: If you could pitch this company to investors with: "The company has an attractive PE, PEG and yield. The CEO is a major, but not majority shareholder", you'd have people lining up to buy. The problem is that the company is not young enough to get away with unreliable finances. If you're a pessimist, you may wonder why Grewal would ever introduce a decent dividend. He does not need approval of anyone but himself, and if he needs money, he can increase his CEO pay instead. Further torpedoing my confidence in the shares it that other board members barely hold any shares at all. Now, they say one should always set out to disprove one's own views rather than try to confirm them. Some arguments in favour of GDG would be: - It would be irrational for Grewal to sell shares if he thinks the SP is likely to increase in the relatively near future. - The company has resolved some debt issues, and does not look to be at risk of flopping over. - They have managed to get rid of the downstream operations. - Some unreliable dividend may better than nothing. - Grewal keeps saying the company will do great in the near future. Admittedly, he has said that for years and years... Disclaimer: While borderline embarrassing, I am long GDG. Not so much because I think it is a great opportunity, but it is just too tiny to be worth selling. Perhaps the share will eventually go up. As Trump says of middle eastern peace, "stranger things have happened". Best of luck to all, though. Just keep yourself diversified so that you are not hurt too badly if this holding continues to underperform.
Think the trend is about to change IMO.
now looks too dangerous to me. Previous experience means I don't like it when SP goes sideways for long periods of time. This board is likewise quiet, so not much to discuss?
NO then
Would you go the AGM trion?
Clueless rampers on board talking huge rerates ! But nothing has changed !!!. Still no funding news !!! Still no Chinese Legacy Well Audit / supplementary aggreement news !!! Still no downstream operations sale news !!! Still no Hong Kong listing news !!! Mr. Grewal we exhausted investors are aware of your continued expected as allways developement plans , but , nothing will change untill above questions are answered & outcome in place . Oh.! & are you having an A.G.M. this year or not ?
Agree..could be huge rerate on cards. In at the levels nice.
at the current levels (60s). Could be a huge rerate here once they get the re financing sorted, downstream operations sold.
Only a matter of time and this will be sorted. Lot of work going on unseen here
So !!!!! G.D.G. have explored --- drilled --- & found CBM gas in China over a period of neally 20 YEARS ! G.D.G. have drilled & developed wells now producing gas. G.D.G. have developed & built infrostructure with the help of there Chinese Major Partners . G.D.G. gas fields proximity is near to major gas pipelines with access to high volume markets . All the above is in place in China & yet G.D.G.is struggling ! -----According to lnterfax Globle Energy ! YEA ! RIGHT----!!!!!!!!! Come on Mr. Grewal get this FUNDING "SORTED" & start producing & selling " LOADS MORE " of the $ 23 Billion dollars worth of gas assets that G.D.G. have in place . The S/P will then look after its self.!!!
Thanks for the post Sean , the lnterfax note 6th. June does seem rather strong when you take everthing into consideration. The Nordic Bond update has surely taken the pressure of with the acceptance waivers of its financial covenants , which must prove some confidence in G.D.G.future . l have been in touch with Arden Partners ( they know G.D,G,inside - out ) & spoken with there Marc Downes , who whilst cannot obviously commit himself with inside imformation , did surgest on what grounds would Mr. Grewal not continue his company going forward with a further loan offer when you consider his own vast share commitment & his partnership with the Chinese Majors helping G.D.G.to succeed with there gas production & sales there of. lt is very frustrating not getting further promised crucial news updates , but as Marc added the Chlnese are not the easiest people to do business with & do things at there pace only . l agree with Marc in that l cannot see Randeep giving up that easy after 20 years of developement in China
Recent Interfax Global Energy quote: "China-focused CBM player Green Dragon Gas is in financial trouble. But if the UK-listed company goes into administration, its highly regarded CBM assets could be up for sale. As it stands, Green Dragon, one of the biggest independent producers of CBM in China, is funding- rather than resource-constrained. Over the past year, the company – which has one of the largest publicly listed CBM reserves in China – has missed several interest payments on its debt obligations, spooking investors." Was trying to find explanations for SP descent. Not a GDG expert, but SP dropping for 12 months suggest more than MMs to me. Will wait for SP to break at least 50MA before considering buying more. What funding issues are you on about Sean ? Funding is virtually in the bag !!! Mlnd you, what a crazy market Cap. considering G.D.G. equity value. As l said before a lot of jiggery pokery going on here . MMs come to mind ! Not for the faint hearted this share ! The 20 year old Saga continues !!! More News soon according to Mr, Grewal.in his latest 2 nd. June interview .
FYI Quick google of GDG and then the 'News' tab, shows funding issues in recent articles. Was going to average down, but looks too risky now. Will hold or at least wait for SP to settle.
I'm afraid....never was gonna be a success
Thanks for the link Jup. But shouldn,t G.D.G. Management be providing this stuff !! & who are these investors selling neally 10 Grands worth of shares at 80 P. Surely got to be mm. at work again. Lots to look forward to once again , & we will see what our Chairman has to say once "AGAIN" !!! Got to be last chance hotel this year for Mr. Grewal & Co. lm feeling optomistic " AGAIN ", & l cannot see any reasons not to be , fingers crossed of course !!!
Green Dragon Gas CEO, Chairman and founder to present at Chesterfield Hotel May 31st - http://www.proactiveinvestors.com/register/event_details/100
Lost money like most then John , l,m just keeping my fingers crossed with Mr. Grewals effort with G.D.G. & then just maybe G.D.L. will start picking up .to ..
i Trion sold up in GDL quite sometime, 3 plus years ago.
John , the Chinese company G.D.G. listed in the U.K.did,nt stop investors spiking this share to neally £6 back in June 2014 , when G.D.G were not as well developed & ready to produce & sell gas. G.D.G. has always been volitile , having a small share float which has proberly contributed to where where we are today, but equally visa-- versa, share value can move up just as quickly on some good news which is immanent.. FUNDING -- O D P for GSS----CNOOK legacy well audit ----Confirmation are all thats needed to improve liquidity & put this companies share price back to where it should be . And remember all the above is just a formality. !! Give me a reason why it should,nt be !! Finally John , are you still invested in G.D.L. or did you sell & cut your loses like most ?
