"Most of the US/CN #Uranium stocks up double digits from the opening this morning. I think we are in for a 1-2 month rally further fueled institutional investors slowly gaining interest again and the spot price ticking up." https://twitter.com/uraniumnet/status/928657998163058689
Largest volume today in months. The last volume spikes led to sizeable moves, especially the January one. http://goo.gl/eFxnkT
Uranium shares spike as Canadian giant Cameco suspends production "This is significant for the uranium market, and frankly, three years overdue," Mr Reeve told Fairfax Media." http://www.smh.com.au/business/mining-and-resources/uranium-shares-spike-as-canadian-giant-cameco-suspends-production-20171109-gzi4zc.html
on Cameco production cut news. Uranium stocks all up big. Hard to buy any GCL. Had to resort to limit order and it took ages to fill. Wall to wall buys. Price stays still. One tiny sell and it drop. MMs, you can take a running jump. *********!
Been building a position here recently and believe it to be a great time to add uranium to the pf. This is one of only a few positions people can take on the LSE to have exposure to the uranium price. The predictions are for a supply deficit in the coming years and with the massive fluctuations in price it could be a scramble for uk investors to get in here. Accumulate while no ones watching at the bottom of the cycle. Happy holding

Looking at the most recent fact sheet (late June), GCL dumped most (if not all) of their Paladin holding.
That figure of 5.9% for Paladin was from last year. Who knows what it ended up as. The fund is valued every day, so any losses from Paladin were factored in over time. Personally, I don't think it makes much difference. Their bigger holdings like Nexgen have come back to life and are doing well. If Paladin is the only hit over time they will have done well.
How can this fund be UP on the day when Paladin Energy (I believe 6% of the fund's holdings) went into administration. Have I got something wrong? Am I missing something?
The Board of Geiger Counter Limited have recently announced that it is reviewing, with its advisers, a potential bonus issue of subscription shares to existing shareholders on the basis of one subscription share for every two existing ordinary shares held on the record date for the bonus issue. We expect to issue a Circular in the near future with full details of this proposal.
TOKYO: A Japanese court Tuesday gave the green light to switch on two more nuclear reactors despite heavy public opposition, in the latest victory for the government’s pro-atomic push. Local residents lost their bid for an injunction to block the refiring of the No.3 and No.4 reactors at the Genkai nuclear plant in southwestern Japan on safety grounds, according to a district court official.
I was obviously wrong about the shakeout being almost over. As wrong as it's possible to be. Uranium bulls and corrections are wild affairs that go further in each direction than many expect. Each correction is also likely to last for a least three months, so my earlier thoughts were wildly off the mark. So much for trying to comment on uranium. Still, this correction is surely long in the tooth.
Yes, very interesting. There has been snippets of news coming out of several uranium players that indicate to me that companies are beginning to gear up a little, maybe
A very interesting proposition . Subscription Shares are similar to warrants. With the potential for Uranium to spike these could carry some real value.
Spot Uranium up again at 25.75/26.50
It may already be over but it may last for a few more days but I think this shakeout in uranium companies is almost done as the weekly slow stochastics don't have much further to run to the bottom. The bad news by Camaco is out and the price of U308 is rising. UUUU's Stephen Anthony's argument about the US importing 90% of its uranium is stunning given the geo strategic importance of this commodity. An announcement from Trump's recently appointed Energy Secretary Rick Perry or Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, on uranium policy and nuclear energy for the US is only a matter of time.
