Sorry meant to add. how do you get Uranium prices off Numerco, is it a paid for subscription service or am I missing something on their website.....
Hi barnaberible Interesting to see you are in Berkeley Energia as am I too. Problem is one part of me wants uranium to go on a bull run now, which would really benefit GCL, but the longer the bottom lasts the more it benefits BKY. I guess that is what is called covering all the bases... ATB
Positive article on uranium & Geiger Counter in Moneyweek today
I see I'm the only one playing this game but today I'm going to guess 30.34 NAV
I'm a huge BKY fan and with Trump coming into power and it is wise to get exposure to Uranium companies which have excellent access to the US market. Hence my investment in GCL Energy security will be huge for the US. There current demand is 55mlb yet they produce only 3mlb. The recovery in Japan is happening albeit slowly. Chinese huge reactor program , India very large also Demand for Uranium is increasing 3% a year while production is declining. There will be a select few companies ready to take advantage of the utilities coming to market. Uranium is the only scalable clean energy source with the ability to provide 24/7 clean energy All the above give a compelling case for investing in Uranium The outlook for Uranium is the best for a decade, when the uranium price adjusts it will reflecting the demand / supply deficit. The market is different to 2006/2007 , then there was a lot speculation , The reality is now we have the scarcity factor with few producers , there are simply not enough players in the market , it takes years to go from exploration to production. Because of this situation price movements for uranium and uranium stocks could be huge & happen quickly because of limited stock supply. The current uranium prices are simply to low to be worth producing for most companies ,so production reduces, mines close , exploration investment declines. Patience for uranium investors will IMO provide extreme rewards beyond that of any other commodity.
Was pretty close though so I'm going to award myself 1st place (and 2nd & 3rd being as no one else guessed)
NAV 32.44, sometimes its great to be wrong :) Onwards and upwards
Go on then - predictions for NAV on Monday, bonus points for answers before ASX starts trading. I'm going for 32.2
over 30p for the first time in a very long time
another fine day here , some big winners in the uranium sector day in day out . no better way to play it in my humble opinion
uranium is getting hot, looking like it will go on a bull run. This will re rate accordingly, this is the hottest sector to be in early 2017. Let the re rate begin.
Great shout Lobon, thanks for the tip earlier to get in here! Superb potential!
also bought in today after toying with buying stock oversea's this will do me just fine , a great play on purely uranium .
New in today. Been searching through which Uranium stock to buy into and scratching my head. This just suits me down to the ground. All the hard work is done for me . Very happy bunny :-)
up 17% should see a sustained big move here soon.
up nearly 14% should see a move to high 20s low 30s any day now.
For those of you who are interested http://pdf.reuters.com/htmlnews/htmlnews.asp?i=43059c3bf0e37541&u=urn:newsml:reuters.com:20170110:nMKWZwFWPa cant see the bond holders not agreeing, EDF still have the potential to throw a spanner in the works but if it all gets resolved even though Paladins share price will drop it may be an opportunity for GCL to put some of their cash to use and increase their stake again.
http://investingnews.com/daily/resource-investing/energy-investing/uranium-investing/uranium-outlook-companies/ "INN: What do you expect for the uranium market in 2017? TOC: For uranium, you can sense the bottom is here. No producers can make money at current spot uranium price and demand will continue to increase due to new reactor builds and more re-starts expected in Japan. Existing and future producers are starting to contract again, at above $40 per pound prices, which is well above both the published spot, and term uranium prices CP: Leading indicators are pointing to a resurgent bull market. The downturn we have been through has seen little invested in new supply and less in exploration than should have been and this coupled with an improving global outlook for business growth suggests to me that we may be about to enter a bull market that may put the last one in the shade."
According to the Sept 2016 report, Berkeley Energia comprises 4.9% of GCL net assets
BKY should be in production within 18 months all being well and de-risk with mine build but limited resources (pending further discoveries, which are highly possible) add a higher risk to that rather than Geiger IMO. Based on historic spot uranium and if it hits the highs that it has in the past I can easily see a 5-600% increase in Geiger. On Monday I'll be re-shuffling my portfolio, adding GCL, topping up on BKY. I already hold positions in BKY and Paladin (which is highly risky) and have open long spreads on the Golbal Uranium ETF. I will probably be adding this to around the levels I hold in BKY which will put around 25-30% of my portfolio in Uranium. So lets hope we are all correct and are coming into a bull marker within the next year or so!!!!
BKY is a good play but its not in production yet. This is the only real option to take advantage of production and we have just busted the chart wide open breaking huge resistances. I suspect 30s here soon.
Think I might take a small position next week. The only concern I have is that they have 8% of their holdings in Paladin who are in alsorts of trouble. Personally think BKY might be a better U3O8 play but in general I do think Uranium could be about to go nuclear (had to be said!!!)
The December interims give a very good resume of the current uranium situation
Interest in uranium stocks picking up interest too with this up and the URA ETF in the US strong over the past few sessions. Amanda Van Dyke bullish on uranium in this video today (from 7:19) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvBHTe4CSlY
break out on chart and uranium spot should just get stronger and stronger as the days weeks months plow on.
