Geowiz - in the last 4 to 5 years of deramping GBP and raising questions about the cos of the Majors drilling in Namibia, your agenda has been clear. I am interested in why do you persistently deramp GBP when you've stated that you have no financial interest in the company? You deramp other AIM listed oilers but you appear to focus on GBP.
Peter Hill has been clear, farm in interested parties wanted to wait for the outcome of Graff and Venus drills, Shell & Total have hit oil, discussions can now be advanced.

GeoWiz - You talk some rubbish...
Geowiz, since you are not dealing in facts can you please show as your back. You have no interest in gbp except if you are working with MMs deramping to replenish stock. You are here after each news hopping to sp decline to buy again!!!!
please respect other people intelligence and stop this stupid input of yours.
IO my advice on all of this would be to simply deal with the facts and not indulge in personal attacks. Why you obsessing on what others do, buy or sell whatever. I don’t recall deramp if any Majors? I hold in both Total and Shell. GBP needs to lobby for an extension as it’s too late for a farmout.

'The preliminary results suggests that the Venus discovery has EXCEEDED the pre-drill expectations and, along with the recently announced Graff discovery, has opened a new petroleum province in the Orange Basin with huge upside potential.'
Exceeded! It was gigantic to start with. Wow!
Have you now bought GBP shares Geowiz? You previously confirmed that you did not own shares in Global Petroleum.
So much for your deramping of the Majors drilling in offshore Namibia, two drills, two finds, Peter Hill will have plenty to do going forward.

Even I’m thinking it should be a bit higher than this
It’ll jump if they manage to negotiate an extension beyond Sept.
Who’s have thought both shell and total would hit large oil deposits, total being an ‘elephant find’ little old #gbp with a tiny mcap of £7million, puny. I can see this re rating on a huge scale, expect loads of idiots along the way but it’s gunna be a cracking journey to this. Oil is flying we are in a very good place, any whiff of farmout news with any decent size explorer and we’ll be off to the races. Could see some fantastic numbers here, #gbp still way off the radar atm
Spike got the same info, like I said could be rumours but so far all the rumours have been true lol, I'm confident the farm out will happen.
Pretty much agree. If we get a farmout then 5p seems feasible on Marula alone. Waiting on those bids now.
It’s a stonking buy from here, 6p in the summer
There was too much hype for it to open high snd keep climbing. The market makers see the mugs coming a mile off.
It was count to open a few % up, rise to the low teens, let the mugs get spiked by dropping the price, must get spooked, mm’s by shares back , price can then start to ascend.
Agreed the invasion might put the anchors on or at least slow down the price increase but now the fun has been had, it’s one way from here . Buys will start coming in now. Hold for gold!
This was always going happen, its a crowded trade.
Expect the dust to settle as the people who traded against the Total result take profits.
We will then start to move up towards farm out
As I said last week…. Venus discovery was indeed ‘staggering’. As I said just last night. ‘Job done… news imminent’
The latest rumour I’m hearing is that GBP are already in discussions with potential farm in partners and have applied for the licence extension. Not facts… just rumours but from the same sources as previous….take it or leave it.
Spread appears very tight,my third top up today down as sell, and now dropped down further.not too bothered,it has to come right.
Just last 12 hours ago we were all talking about 1p open ??
I should point out that Pancontinental also has acreage in Namibia north of these discoveries and their SP has risen 6 fold on the Graff and Venus news from $0.01 to $0.06. Their highest COS target is only 19% COS and a mere 73 MMB on a P50 basis and is still classified as a lead. Marula looks better. GBP needs to catch up.

Thank your stars were not red mate, everything else is. A blue finish today is very welcome considering the current global state of affairs, once Russia Ukraine war becomes the norm then expect this to re rate.
eh seen the news today?
Expect an RNS from GBP as they did with Graff-1

Factsheet Global Petroleum Ltd (GBP) Namibia Update - Significance of Graff-1 Well
Well what a crappy response
Also why an earth are there so many sellers
especially as the net current asset position is very healthy at round £2.2M. This gives an EV of only £4.7M after net current assets, so even if we ignore all the other prospects that means GBP is currently priced at only $0.22 per risked barrel for the 210 MMB 22% COS Marula prospect, which now seems far too low given these epic drill results.

Namibia: TotalEnergies makes a significant discovery in offshore Block 2913B

News
Paris, February 24, 2022 – TotalEnergies has made a significant discovery of light oil with associated gas on the Venus prospect, located in block 2913B in the Orange Basin, offshore southern Namibia.
The Venus 1-X well encountered approximately 84 meters of net oil pay in a good quality Lower Cretaceous reservoir.
“This discovery offshore Namibia and the very promising initial results prove the potential of this play in the Orange Basin, on which TotalEnergies owns an important position both in Namibia and South Africa” said Kevin McLachlan, Senior Vice President Exploration at TotalEnergies. “A comprehensive coring and logging program has been completed. This will enable the preparation of appraisal operations designed to assess the commerciality of this discovery.”
Block 2913B covers approximately 8,215 km² in deep offshore Namibia. TotalEnergies is the operator with a 40% working interest, alongside QatarEnergy (30%), Impact Oil and Gas (20%) and NAMCOR (10%).
