looking for this to go lower ....adding below 100p. May see 70 to 80p or lower. Sitting on my hands...I think people will gamble online as they sit at home
Mid Atlantic Rollers, slight head wind. Nothing to be alarmed about.
You need to have a W8-BEN form approved by your trading platform. Some can complete this on-line and others required an inked document returning to them. Then your "good to go" and start trading US stock. You are right about the currency conversion, but as you also mentioned, the SP gains of GAN once on the NASDAQ should wipe-out that issue. GL
Good point. I Trade on IWEB and they say they trade nasdaq, so shouldn't be a problem. Maybe a tax issue but there is a section on tax return for overseas investment
And provided you have completed the relevant form your broker requires completing to permit trading in US equities then I am guessing these will still be visible in your dealing account and eligible for trading once listed on the Nasdaq? Clearly it does mean exchange rates are an extra consideration point for holding, but I guess Nasdaq listing should provide enhancements for the SP that are greater than short term exchange rate movements? Not an expert so welcome any guidance. Thanks.
From RNS : "It is expected that trading in GAN UK shares will continue until a date to be determined. GAN UK will disclose the exact dates of the delisting, listing and trading in upcoming news releases and/or the information circular, as appropriate".
Caveat :"If the Scheme has not become effective and implemented by 30 April 2020 (or such later date as GAN UK and GAN Bermuda may agree and the Court may allow), it will lapse, in which event there will not be a new parent company of GAN UK, and GAN UK shareholders will remain shareholders of GAN UK".
Any one know how long is the limited amount of time?
Only a limited time to get your 2.32p per share sweetener, before getting your shorts and shades on.
Well done GAN, you've reached the Big Time.
Agree with what’s been said. I have watched my profit evaporate here, but not to the point of having any intention of selling. The other risk apart from the cancellation of sporting events is disposable income. It won’t take much of a quick lift in unemployment stats to potentially impact this type of business.
But, this for me has a decent future and is therefore one I fully intend to both hold and buy more of at certain prices. GLA
Short term, the only effect on GAN will be if major sports events are called off or casinos close for a period. Beyond that, its business as usual. The market panic is crazy and - as you say StatsMan - indiscriminate. There are plenty of shares marked down to levels at which they will be bargains once the virus is contained. It's just a case of waiting till that point. In the meantime, folk trying to get out add to the downward price pressure.
So if people in New Jersey stay at home more due to the virus situation and spend less money going out, would that cause them to gamble online more or less? Just saying.
At present the market is marking everything down indiscriminately, but there will be winners and losers. Cruise companies are obvious losers. Some people who would have spent nights in the ship's casino will now stay at home with money burning a hole in their pocket. People who might have taken a mini break in Vegas will stay at home;- what will they spend the air fare on? You get the picture.
Just sold my entire holding, after seeing 90% of my profit as it stood last week wiped out. One more day like today and I would have been in the red. Will buy back in again once the panic settles, but I feel relieved in a strange way to be'cash only' at the moment...
Indeed but this looks only like the beginning of the crash. Its market wide and pretty indiscriminate. Warren Buffett will be pulling the head off it and waiting at the bottom of the pit in the next few weeks and months.
The City slickers love this, an opportunity to make a fortune.
Looks like sh**s hit the fan.
As sure as Eggs are Eggs, people will always Gamble whatever is going on in the world.
Cornovirus bull**** mate. Nowt to do with the company, prospects or business.
What’s this drop all about ??
Nasdaq listing in next few weeks will see this fly up
Again incredible increase in numbers - "Internet Gambling Win Increased 61.8% from December".
Also, interesting news via RNS for Flutter Entertainment PLC - https://www.investegate.co.uk/flutter-entertainmnt--fltr-/rns/australian-competition--consumer-commission-update/202002180700082729D/
Very positive write-up on US online gambling stocks and on GAN, from this US investor site.
"GAN plc (OTCMKTS:GMMNF) has been another beneficiary of the rally in sports betting stocks. Shares have nearly tripled since September. But there are reasons to see more upside ahead for the small-cap stock.
GAN is a B2B (business-to-business) provider of software to real-money gaming operators. Its growth has been spectacular: revenue increased 145% in the first half of 2019, and the company turned profitable.
That growth has plenty of runway as U.S. sports betting takes hold. In fact, FanDuel is a key GAN client. Revenue-share agreements will allow GAN to participate in its growth.
At the moment, GAN stock only is listed on the junior exchange in London. But that will change: the company is seeking a listing on the NASDAQ exchange. That listing could lead to a huge increase in interest from U.S. investors. That alone will keep the current rally going."
