I can't open that link but this is a longer article from Georgia that covers the same protest. It could be Google Translate but the comments from the workforce etc do feel a bit scripted IMO, though there does appear to be a quote from an FWGL manager?-
Employees of oil company Frontera Western Georgia demand payroll debt. For this reason, about 100 people gathered in Dedoplistskaro. Protesters gathered live chains at the gates. It is said that until the debt is settled, the company will not be allowed to extract oil and continue working in Dedoplistskaro.
Locals also responded to a letter from American congressman Marqueeen Malen, calling it political. The assemblies say they have good reason to suspect that Frontera's CEO, who is currently in America, may have misled Congressman Malin.
"Our Director General is in America and is reporting to Congressman Malin the wrong information about Frontera. It is as if the Georgian government is preventing American companies from operating in Georgia, which is a lie and a lie. On the contrary, the government helps us as much as possible. Starting from here, they are doing so in a political context that is completely unacceptable to us. Someone wants to take advantage of this situation completely. They came here and figured out the situation on the ground, ”say the protesters.
According to Giorgi Janiashvili, the manager of the company, the management of Frontera will fully recover the debts and debts.
Dedoplistskaro Mayor met with the participants of the action. According to Nikoloz Janiashvili, the state has started a dispute with Frontera in international arbitration and hopes that the process will end in favor of employees.
Frontera, a company of 84 employees, has an 11-month debt totaling up to GEL million. Employees sued the company in front of the company a month ago.
Republican Congressman Marcouine Malin, in a letter sent to George Gakharia on January 19, is concerned "with Georgia's shifting democratic values ??and deteriorating economy." According to him, American and European business interests in Georgia were subject to harassment and assault - for example, the oil and gas company Frontera Resources, Texas.

Course he ain’t been paid. None of us have. Jacky hasn’t slept for weeks because he and the rest of us are all about to lose everything !.... and yes we deserve it !
And jaknife your shirt hasn’t been paid. Total mug
Well, as someone said, it's starting to look like those maybe paid by the opposition to protest. Secondly and I admit this is still pretty quite cold thought, but possible frr don't need many employees if they have mostly Baker Hughes and BP employees on site since delisting and this is all part of the restructuring.
Well I have shares here and am struggling to turn positive at the mo. Although Jaknife is a shorter person he does hit a point. If the employees ain’t getting paid still how is this even remotely positive
If this does return I know who will be panicking to close their shorts... oh dear that will be painful. Gla there must be a reason 13 months on we've still got a pulse maybe zaza can make shorters heartbeat like they are running a marathon... it will be like a black friday sale all shorters rushing to close their positions for damage limitation...
JakNife: I don't think.....I know :-)
I certainly know how much I've lost if it does go t@ts up...do you?
No wonders the Russians are getting involved. After out baby t-34 tanks
since when have we owned a tank farm.................er......
It certainly sounds odd that they would say that. It may be that the reporter added that line to get his/her article published... but what do we know? Clearly the employees have been laid off and unpaid as we know they met Zaza.
Agree its Fishy now Tsbs
So are these employees being incentivised to protest and given a script to follow do you think...?

Frontera employees demand to pay salary arrears
Employees of the Georgian representative office of the American company Frontera demand to pay off wage arrears. They gathered today in the center of Dedoplistskaro, after which they continued the campaign at the tank farm owned by the company.
Protesters say they have not received a salary for 11 months. They also commented on a letter from US Congressman Markwein Mullin, which refers to the situation around the company. Employees say that the information, supposedly the Georgian government is interfering with the activities of the American company, is not true.
In an address to the Prime Minister of Georgia, George Gaharia, the US Congressman wrote that American and European business interests in Georgia have become targets of harassment and expropriation. “An excellent example of this is the Texas-based oil and gas company Frontera Resources,” said Mullin.
