looking at the trades either side of it i would say its a sell
and another £32k trade this morning !... almost similar to yesterday's... someone's loading up big time here...
Peel on the bid now, a bit more buying and I can easily see 50’s tested again.
I said it before I even bought - see post @13:58... JD or someone buying BIG time at this level.
Another BUY written down as a sell.. 27-Feb-19 Time 14:01:44 Price dealt @ 42.1999 Shares = 3,540 >Sell< 42.00p - 44.00p Amount = Cost £1499.88 Most likely those other trades are also buys before hand.
Me and JD both then ;)
It is to confuse some to think that they are getting a bargain.
Genuinely, can someone explain why the spread is 42 - 44 yet I can buy at the sell price of 42.1999p ? Whilst fantastic, it implies my buy is a sell at witch point the MM's have the ability to drop the price even further?
This does seem to be a bit damp right now.
Why so little buying? Even if JD are buying on the open market.... they were happy to pay 50p, 70p and 75p...44p should be considered a gift for them
So if there not investing then what are they doing.....I think we know the answer to this!
All JD have not said they will buy “up to” their statement is thus - It added that it was prepared to buy 29.9 per cent of Footasylum’s shares, which is just under the takeover threshold. So that is incorrect they are buying that stake as per the city code statement if you are not familiar with how that works please take the time to read the rulings around statements issued. Debacle, The reason foot are where they are today is due to a bad buy, they purchased lines of clothing which where not “in trend” of which resulted in huge discounts before the Christmas period, they are still sat on said stock, this is all in the public domain, A company that loses 77% in pre tax profit is not in a good position at all, AND for the record i am not slating foot - it is this position that has resulted in JD coming forward ! Which is a good thing for share holders imo At the end of the day revenue for vanity profit for sanity !! and that statement is never truer than in the retail sector operating profit is key. If they cannot make profit on the goods they sell they have no business model. That’s the top and bottom of it Which then in turn begs the question why JD are “investing” ...... Hence why I believe they are not. Makes no sense whatsoever !
you wouldnt give an absolute number cast in stone to let every one know would you.
3.14, fair comment but why would you state you intend to buy up to 29.9% if it wasnt your intention.
Marky
they intend to push to the 29.9% as stated, and due to that statement are bound by the city code
they said upto not will
And I am being offered 43.175 to buy... why are they marking every buy down? MMs playing games .. shocking
Have to fundamentally disagree with your opinion Marky5858 regarding Footasylum going to the wall in 6 months. This is a growth company who have been increasing turnover year on year and becoming very successful in online marketing and sales. They have curtailed the physical expansion going forward which seems sensible and are working on the margins and expenses which has been the issue over the last 12 months. DYOR etc
Testing your metal with drops / shaking out the weak to fill JDs orders JD won’t stop at the level they are now, they intend to push to the 29.9% as stated, and due to that statement are bound by the city code The question is are they filling one large order or or are JD buying in drips due to the free float No doubt some PIs will sell in panic especially if they are in profit, but look at the facts JD are buying to the threshold, of a loss making entity sat on bad stock who happen to be a much smaller competitor, who, may I add, would of almost likely gone to the wall naturally over the next 6 months anyway !!! Why have JD not just let them go ? Only two reasons why IMO you can work those two reasons out for yourselves!!! DYOR !!!!!
I think they are not going to buy the remaining 8% through one bulk purchase - instead, they are loading since last week. That is the only way I can understand the volume increase in the trades.
We come from 40,000 shares traded/day to half a million nowadays. This has to be a big player behind loading.
Due any day now by JDSports, they have as much as said so buying up to 29.9%
I will happily post every day and up the posts in QUIZ for every time NIthave06 stomps in here shouting this is going to 30p, 90% sold, buy quiz instead. It’s not a threat, I am simply saying that you should not be advertising other shares within this group, this is FOOT.
Forget about JD :-), does anyone think that the Family's 63% stake of FOOT, which during the IPO was worth 1.60 Pound per share, will propose a right issue at this level???
This is one of the reasons I am in, becuase inmho, I dont see how Makin Family could take a decision like this in a further detriment of the family's wealth which is already critically impacted due to the fall of share price from IPO level to the current.
There gearing level is very low, so in case they need cash they will borrow it.
don't know why rights issue mentioned below. you think JD will let themselves get diluted. your dreaming.
Look at Flybe. Sage said there with virgin...banging on about 50p plus. 1p whoops! Nothing ever guaranteed on the uk markets
Excellent post BFTAH but Gareth is always right it seems. This is going to £1, it's a certainty. JD will buy it for sure they wouldn't only by 30% only :). I'd rather stick to Quiz. Even Mcls looks much better value than Foot.
Thanks for posting again in the quiz board.
100% rise from the low and a loss of 2 million plus a potential cash call needed rather urgently.
Quiz on the other hand may have had quiet shops as you noted at Christmas but they are valued at 8 million less marjet cap have 10 million more in cash than foot and are on course to make a net profit of 6.5 million with zero debt and a 15% dividend.
This was very undervalued at 22p at 43p it offers a fair upside but I would watch out for the rns on the rights issue/placing over the coming months imo
