Not sure why people are getting peed off at the update. FFWD relies on any announcement of the comps they invest in and the stated NAV will be based on their latest updates prior to Sept 30th. What the update is missing and should have been included is what they did with the £2m also why the company is burning though its cash.
The EMMAC situation, the placing, no info regarding those funds caused me to sell. I'll wait for one of my investments to become liquid before i buy in again, hopefully just before LEAP IPO's. I think there are good companies here though.
We could speak all night about this , as you said another dull RNS and as you said nothing new, well except for the small drop in portage, why sneak it in but give no reason , I don’t buy your certain targets , these guys are held accountable it’s not there money it’s shareholders money, I see Mat asked the question on Twitter but not sure he’s got back an answer yet, I just hope we’re a lot further forward come results time next year.
I'm staying for the liquidity events.
Im disappointed with RNS but at least we've got These 4 golden nuggets I suppose.
I'm waiting.
Thing is you take your cash out and put it onto the next best thing. You guys perhaps know how to make money trading. I don't. I also can't have a punt on the next great thing.
We're a long way down the road here. If anything curiosity dictates I stay. Furthermore there is nothing like hanging round for years, selling, and then Kaboom! Done that so often.
Furthermore it has been said "What else did we expect I this RNS. That point has a certain validity as well.
Still long and strong for me!
They’ve dropped their holding from ~1.1% to ~1%.
It was a very dull & dry RNS that wasn’t well written but it doesn’t justify an 8% drop in SP as there wasn’t a great deal that was new news.
Portage hit certain % targets (from their original intensity buy) hence selling a very small % of their holding. They are an investment company and will do the same when yooma Emmac and Leap list irrespective of upcoming news. Once a target price is reached they will sell a % of their holding.
Portage drops 50% this afternoon then we could have the same conversation to discuss why didn’t they sell at $14
33k in buys and 44k in sells. Down over 8%, once again MM's taking full advantage of todays RNS. So patience required.
Keep your chin up J2300, despite the doom and gloom I still believe this will break out eventually there is too much in the pipeline for it not to. Remember this is the cesspit that is AIM.
That’s true Doggo but if FFWD have sold some Portage surely we should know the reason, plus our ED said we won’t be selling portage we want more exposure to the portfolio , strange one don’t you think
All LTH are in the same boat. We’ve a few options we can sell and move on, buy more or sit and wait for whatever is upcoming.
At least 2 of the above options are available to everyone holding.
The RNS was not dramatic and could be described as dull. We knew the NAV would increase from March. But little else to find fault with.
is dire. There is no two ways about it, and the situation has been dire for years. I bloody despair, I really do.
They get a % of revenue generated by the operators. The fact they will announce moving into profitability in Q3 suggests they are generating significant revenues for their operator partners. The panic today is frankly ridiculous.
Await the RNS that states profitability for Leap. For a company that has expanded dramatically over the last year in terms of workforce levels is remarkable.
And we know a competitor (Inspired) has confirmed they get paid back a double digit % of revenue. 10% minimum, a very nice return thank you very much.
So if Leap could give 5 months revenue rise of 123% so far in 2020 why could they not give FFWD 9 months revenue figures to fall in line with FFWD,s interim results , would of been nice to get some kind of number
From a CEO of one of Leaps customers in response to this question
One question I do have is with the virtual and the casino games. A player wagers X £ on the virtual horse racing do you pay a set amount back to the games provider per game the player plays or is it a % of the amount wagered or is it a set monthly fee independent of games played/money wagered to be able to offer the game?
“with casino games and virtuals the operator pays a certain percentage of revenue back to the provider.”
I spoke to a couple of Industry guys (gaming industry) and you get a feel for the min turnover by how many staff they have. Leap themselves announced in june they they were about to go into profit, so depending on how fast they intend growing in 2021, with a circa 100% growth they should either make a substantial profit in 2021, or an even more substantial one in 2022. Sometimes the market preferes profit later!
Filtered ;-)
PiratFlag City I guess, not big into football and only been to one match, a Derby, City V Rovers
You seem to suggest that the value of LEAP will just disappear without benefit to FFWD holders. It will only get wiped off the FFWD share price if they issue a dividend or holders are granted shares in LEAP.....like with TILS or BRH for that matter.
How will ffwd fair once they sell leap? If you look at Tiziana (tils) they have fallen of a cliff since the de merger of StemPrintER.....tils were impacted by the covid stock bubble collapse but they are not primarily a covid company so worth seeing how they perform....basically the share price discounted the separated company just like an ex dividend, so ffwd sp could suffer the same, I guess we will find out when Ed finds the LEAP receipt!
Very interesting, where did you find the fact that Leap is making money, and on what turnover?
Thanks Richard for your posts and for sharing your views and ressearch on LEAP. I also invested into FFWD mainly because of LEAP and also EMMAC. Patience is a great virtue and will be greatly rewarded here in the next few months. All the best.
Hello Richard from Bristol. I'm from Bristol too, City or Rovers?
No I have never spoken to anyone at FF, I am Richard from Bristol no one special or Inside, I just love a bargain, so will be topping up later!!
First post ,maybe under 8411, that’s me being sceptical lol, think you got your figures mixed up near the end of your post, think you meant don’t mind swapping Five pence for ten pence or even twenty pence, are you sure you don’t work for FFWD, GL
