Lets see opening price...
Oh well made c. 20p so can't complain though it's a bit frustrating they didn't want to build the business further. I guess a bird in the hand...
Interesting - The synergies with existing Easyjet business are plain to see. Yet they decide to unload it.
Experienced operator at the helm of EZH as well.
Oh well, for me personally, it's a lot better than a return from the bank.
Relatively pleased with this myself, having bought in at 76p which is a tidy 25%
Unfortunately I suspect there'll be a fair few LT holders who are seeing a loss.
I've never owned a share that's been bought out before. Do you simply receive a cash deposit into your broker account?
Small lot sellers took 4 off the sp this wk (31). Brexit worries have certainly damaged the stock, down 15% and 39% over 3 and 12 months respectively absolutely the main reason for the shares falling imo.
Time will tell whether sellers were being prudent or in panic mode though to be fair the decline has been steady but relentless. No-one can be sure of the outcome should we leave deal-less and how that will
impact business and tourism.
The exchange rate is hurting your only getting €1.09 for your £ whereas a 3 months ago you got 7% more. Similar in $ terms.
Of course if your € based
it's a plus for you.
I see no reason to panic no doubt there will be an over reaction from the mrkt until things settle down.
I see several likely outcomes. i) a new deal will fail, shares and sterling fall ($ earners gain). ii) Boris gets a 'deal' of sorts (backstop removed) shares might rise but would you be a buyer?
iii) and most unlikely a delay which would in all likelihood be the end of the Govt leaving us with Corbin and crew. How damaging would that be?
I'm going for a no deal departure and am saving some cash to buy EZH if we hit the 55-60 range after all the political turmoil and a possible election.
If Boris delivers Brexit the Tories could win an election having delivered what was promised in '16.
Good that 700 ish extra rooms will be added and if we can get 80%+ revpar that's a nice chunk of extra change.
Hurts abit buying hotels in France which nearly cost the same I’m sterling as euros however I guess we get the revenue back this way to our favour.
New Nice hotel will open with7 extra rooms in October so the pro is two month turnaround and we have a fully owned hotel open to the public.
Fair investment so they must be confident, I think the business model is working well. Another 700 ish rooms before financial year end.
Hotel at the French airport will be huge and very successful
EZH has A lot of ground to make up in sp terms. New openings will propel sp increases in 2020 if Boris can produce a decent Brexit. I know of two investors with 'decent' money ready to invest here.
The sp chart is hardly flattering, dealt by outside influences this year.

Ways to go.
Take your point about explaining the 'budget concept'. Some might see the 'budget' element as cheap and shoddy, I don't know but in this day of the internet and immediate
knowledge of the hotel of your intended stay I'd say that wouldn't apply.
If the EZHs of this world are your thing you must know what's what. EZH must ensure they are the best in VF£ the rest will take care of itself.
There are many actual budget chains / hotels. It’s hard to therefore to directly compare.
One of their biggest challenges is explaining the concept. When I’m Barcelona the staff explain when you arrive how it works and that they are a budget hotel. They offer you any of the other services if you require as you would expect at which point some find it strange as to why they have to pay? At this point they have forgotten they have paid a fraction of the price to stay where they are compared to others. Younger people seemed to get concept, ones that have used other hotels for years not so much.
Ie when you get there you then expect full service but of course for the price you just paid
Didn't think much of the Consumer Assoc rating of EZH as jnt 4th worst in their customer satisfaction survey. Mind you i dont hold with these type surveys and when approached in the past have given bull**** answers. Have any of you expierience of other budget hotels to compare? If as EZH say they are outperforming the sector, customers must like the
EZH expierience. So who the f did the CA canvass?

Being built, around 180 rooms so a big one for us, need it open ASAP
brexit wont be helping much like everything else I would think bar gold.
i'm holding, not buying and happy to see this hopefully expand over the next two years. estimation is at least 54 hotels next two years, what this then does to the bottom line in order for expansion to continue i'm not sure.
however we know with easyhotel in good or indeed bad time people will spend less but still do something and they can pick the business up. its no surprise that premier are now adding an extra business model more like ours as people will move to the cheapest, safest, quickest option.
Nice one(s). I'm sure we are being held back by bloody Brexit and the likely 'no deal' departure. Sensibly investors are sitting on their hands awaiting their fate...if that's not too dramatic! We do seem to have suffered an over exaggerated drop given the cont expansion of the Co which gives you a great re-entry price. I'm keeping a few quid in reserve to add come Oct 31st.
Opened officially today and piece live on Facebook followed by a Dutch airport tomorrow, moving the numbers up !
Def invstrs off for the summer holidays as the City shuts down for all the sporting events. I think believers should add a few at this price as long as you intend to hold for more than 5 mins
Blimey c.£50 a night in Barcelona, £150 a night in London.....wow! Can that be right
unvrkw? I could get a single at the Savoy for that couldn't I?
Obviously I'm out of touch but jeez £150 a night with no eggs and bakey?........
Cheapest room next week at old street is around £150 ish, I think it’s doing ok
Nice one unvrkw. But EasyH have all the attractions you mentioned. Great brand, low costs, central locations etc..put EasyH in a terrific position and something few mention.....little
for guests to moan about, the tea was cold service poor, blah blah.
Most i suspect will leave with good impressions especially when paying the bill and remember its the little things that go wrong that you remember. Cleverly EasyH have made it difficult for guests to have a moan.
Nice room, nice location and no problems. Only bit sticking in my mind now in general is the competition is huge, markets not yet saturated all over but to be here in the end Easyhotel will need a great brand, way of working and costs always kept low to stay ahead. Everyone wants a piece of hotels at the moment. We have a good guy who knows the business on charge but this won’t be easy!
Blimey £150 cheaper. That's gotta be a huge consideration.
Re the full english, point taken
Not worth the effort.
It cost €226 for 4 nights, double with window, air con is standard, over €150 cheaper than alternatives so the idea was to spend that on going out
Providing breakfast in the traditional sense costs a lot to setup, very competitive market and not everyone wants it. My assumption is that we will walk out the hotel and within 10 mins have the choice of different places to eat. Also bear in mind breakfast is different In different countries so who do they provide for? Im looking for good location, easy to get to and from, clean and safe with nice reception
