It will be interesting to see what happens on the JSE on Monday as at the bell on Friday a buy of
5,739,000 shares occurred at 2c a share which cemented in effect the SP at 2c on JSE which equates to .0010 on the LSE . With the LSE being closed on Monday all eyes will be on EUZ on the JSE no doubt.
Now this may not be in everyone’s interest on this BB to know but a few salient points I would like to point out.
The above transaction cost the buyer ZAR114,780 which equates to GBP 6,152 . SO this transaction has already taken place at 0.0010 …. The MCAP of EUZ on the JSE is R 239,537,526 which is in GBP 12 875 347…6.3% of the total stock of EUZ is held on the JSE.
On The LSE on Friday something strange happened as well at the bell…..a trade of 274,285
Shares at 0.0007 to make it the closing price……
Co- incidence or not…..but someone is not letting the MM’s have their own way at the moment but certainly a good time to be holding a good few of these shares at the moment.
Lets see what transpires over the next few days but hopefully positive for all....GLA.
So FWIW......adding to the duck story that RA1 so aptly described....where there is smoke...there is fire. My belief is a "sale" in one form or another is on the cards ....and "big brother" is watching this closely and will not let them sell this cheaply.
Also if a shareholder already owns more than 30% of EUZ they will be compelled to "make us an offer".....and it will have to be an attractive one at the rate we are going at the moment. I am rather surprissed that no TR1's have been issued as during the past few weeks my guestimate is over 20% of EUZ has possibly changed hands.....not done the exact sum but must be fairly close to this %.....Interesting week next week !!!
Spot on Oiltap...rerate definitely underway though.....may even go higher than TP predictions....lets see.
Yep.Definitely works both ways..The potential buyer also needs to "lodge gaurentees" for the total amount of the offer to share holders.
As a side issue I dont think that DB and partners are involved in these talks (if they are ocurring)....I personally think its a Glencore or CAML or someone already in the game that can take it to full mining status. DB and co will ensure we get a good price. IMO only....I must stress this and have no info whatsover. But something is definitely on the cards here and is being played out under our noses....
Taking £6152 divided by 5,739,000 = 0.00107 so as you say watch jse as it could move over 3c with demand. Btw I’ve had a look at the core samples but can’t get a fix on what’s showing. Looking forward to Tuesday enjoy the sun.
Interesting to read this as well....possible connection ? Also the past few days....

At today's rates 1 ZAR = 5.6 pence..........1 cent = 0.056 pence
So if JSE hits 3cents that = 0.168 pence.
Will be watching Monday for sure..... :)
I am happy to stand corrected but in some types of takovers, The share price has to be the highest the sare price has been in the last 12 months .
Cheers
Is CGT paid on a special dividend (just in case it happens)?
During the last 50% share dilution/cash raise, the shares were issued at 0.0125, so the new shareholders are well in the money already, with another pack of shares (1 to 2, I think) available to them at 0.025. Basically it's down to them what to accept. If we score, it won't be because management want to do the best for all shareholders, just the ones that count. Yes, I'm cynical, while hopeful of coming out to the good.
If it happens, what could we expect to see price wise. I know there’s a lot of factors to consider but I was just wondering if it’s worth topping up a little more Tuesday morning or if it’s too late now and to stick with what I currently have.
I don’t believe any cgt is payable on any dividends received from stocks in an isa. Whilst not giving any financial advice, it may be prudent to bed and isa (up to your annual allowance limit) if held In a normal account while the sp is low if a special dividend is likely. Please dyor
For what it's worth if things go well I believe the entire asset will be sold to a big player. There would be no more EUZ, in that eventuality you won't receive a conventional dividend but a settlement for your share of the company. I believe this is more tax advantageous should your shares not be held in an ISA, if they are you're sorted either way. Given the volatility it's a tough time to bed & ISA, it could either go spectacularly well or spectacularly badly!
Should have added I'm not an expert and obviously not giving advice. GLA
Tomorrow should gives us a indication on what may happen Tuesday I will be topping up Tuesday as I think this got way to go yet brokers saying near term 0.095but think we could go past that
Is 1p long term too optimistic? I know it can still go either way depending on the upcoming results.
Binkylse, Correct no tax if in an ISA or a SIPP, on dividends of any sort.
TicoR Hows JSE today in Japan!!!!!!!!! Filtered them now before any more tripe fills the page as the herd arrive
Ha Ha Nige.........you could not make it up........I had a chuckle when I read that post.....probs too many sherberts over the bank holiday weekend pickling their brain cells !
