Nice chunky buy at 3.99 hoping this is the start of big buys coming back.
Scheds. Regarding POG where I am invested. It’s not that they couldn’t service their debt. They have cash and lots of gold. It was that sanctions stopped their ability to pay their debt. Very different to what you were suggesting.
MM
The sceptic in me thinks that corporate investors invest not for the chance of making a few bob on their public investment ,
I am sure the behind the scene deals that revolve round "propping this up" or " supporting that director" and so on are far more advantageous than the financial outlays .As Shed said at the time he was sure that DB's accountants had done their DD at 12p..lol
What we see from DB and Bennelong could be just a small % of the full deal that is working very well for them behind the scenes for all we know ? :-) I certainly doubt Bennelong put £300k in this just as a financial investment.
Remember these placings are not rights issues, they are deals done behind closed doors between brokers at large discounts, the "investor" knows the opening SP will be down at his discount price but i doubt thats going to bother them too much ...work it out for yourself :-)
I wouldn’t just say small investors @highside sure DBA who’ve backed this aren’t feeling great at their current losses. They need 9p to break even

I have just let it run TBH, i dont invest anymore in the markets since i started my own business, win or lose on this it will not be life changing :-) and most of us from the old days are on a free ride anyway as FCR/Moonlight went bust and this was salvaged from the wreckage.
I have sold and bought a few along the way but whenever i have bought its been a mistake as the management do love to kick the small investors when they are down and its taken me a long time to remind myself whenever i feel optimistic "dont do it ...you WLL be diluted and you WILL lose half" lol
Now i spend my days dealing with italian businesses who really dont care if they sell anything or not, shut down for most of July and August and regard most Englishmen as fools :-) its a funny old world :-)
Hope you are doing well .
Sold out of this ages ago and thought I’d check back in and amazed to see all the same names here. Do you guys just trade it or are you long term investors? For your sake, I hope the former. At least Laurence the CEO is gone now
Oh dear, rather childish, why don't you try to explain your own reasons for still being here, I have explained myself with reference to the independent technical reports on our asset. If they were telling me there isn't an economic case for mining this then I'd be out as I said. There are still issues to overcome not least funding as I've squared up to numerous times in my posts, that fact alone completely discredits your 'denial' comment. Anyway I'm sure you'll be back with another unsubstantiated accusation so I look forward to reading an explanation for your years of investing in EUZ and all those top ups we heard about along the way, should be interesting. I'll be looking back in on Monday so you have plenty of time to think of something better than "I'm so far down..........", bye!
Ha ha you're in denial as well, thats a classic sign :-)
Rubbish, I've take a loss before in other stocks because the balance of risk reward didn't appear to be in my favour. In EUZ that isn't the case IMO. I don't know for certain we will get success but I'm still here because of the technical reports not for a spin of a coin or FOMO. Speak for yourself.
" if I didn't believe I'd be gone whatever the loss."
Of course you would Shed :-)
If only life was that simple, companies like this would never exist because the only real attraction in these early years to stay invested is "Fear of missing out".
Did you know 45mmillion people in the UK, 70% of those over 18 ears of age, do the lottery. they too have no real expectation of a return, Every village hall bingo, Raffle and tombola, every online gambling company, every pub slot machine have odds stacked against you. I think the odds on these AIM companies are about 75% against. People once invested are then trapped by FOMO. the next spin of the wheels will be the one. or i i have done these same numbers every week for 10 years, if i miss a week and they come up...... and so on.
People "top up" or "Average down" when they are losing, its the same as the slot machine...another couple of spins, its due to pay out !!
"if I didn't believe I'd be gone whatever the loss" are brave words but huge industries, turn over billions because people hang on long after they stopped believing because of FOMO. :-)
Agreed Shed. I can't either be a 100% certain of a placing but drilling to 900m and we find enough copper and I am not saying we will would mean a multi-bag, I was in EUA but sold out mainly because I was invested in 4 other minors and have now sold out of 2 of them and only hold EUZ and GLR (one of CB's companies). There is even more risk with EUA especially now with the Russia war. The zinc and lead price has come back a lot and I not a seller but also have far too much exposure to add. Time will tell but after the last RNS I am more confident.
Fingers crossed for us Shed.
Another mining company I hold is Premier African Mining. They have a mountain of lithium and a Chinese backer that has fully funded them to go into production beginning 2023.
Multi bagger written all over it, you watch because I own a few shares I guarantee a price crash. :-(
EUA still has a £157m mcap with the risk that sanctions may one day catch up with it. POG has gone under despite recently being a FTSE 250 company because they couldn't service their debt in Russia. EUZ is currently a £3m mcap company in a safe jurisdiction. We aren't producing but have a proven methodology to mine the resource. I think that will be worth a lot to someone. Am I 100% confident we won't place again? No I confess I am not but I think Toral presents a great opportunity for someone to take a part ownership of a critical metal and strategic asset. On the copper yes we will find it as we always do, if it is commercial at depth it will be massive. We proved last year with the shallow drills and ore sorting that there are economic grades in the early years previously thought to be waste. If there are decent levels of copper at the bottom of a profitable PB, Zn, Ag asset what's not to like? I much prefer the balance of risk / reward here to Russian plays despite the more se*y platinum group metals which unfortunately are under Russian soil. I do still hold a bit of EUA as it's a cynical world and despite the criminal invasion of Ukraine the world needs what EUA have so not writing off the bit I kept just yet. Finally I often get portrayed as a flag waver for EUZ but there's a lot I'm not happy about, past mistakes, the doubtful judiciousness of flagging new projects when we are cash strapped, I could go on. But having weighed everything up and deciding there is still potential for a good outcome I'm still in and adding, if I didn't believe I'd be gone whatever the loss.
Can't imagine if copper is hit anything interesting will happen. I am invested in another Australian copper explorer, they have an asset called The Big One its called that believe it or not as the asset is big, I initially bought in at 4 pence they are now 0.8 pence a share!!!!
Am I jinxed? Am I bad luck?
I'm also invested in Copl, they just found 1.8 billion barrels of oil, with proven extraction reserves of approx 990 million barrels of oil, initial buy in 32p even with averaging down price today 13.8 pence.
I'm doomed.
So in my honest opinion this is going nowhere, last time I said on here there was going to be a placing one of you said don't be stupid the sp is to low for a placing. Guess what happened a placing!!!!
I tell you what's going to happen again and moan all you like and say I'm wrong some sort of fund raise or placing is going to happen.
No way in a million years is a JV coming. You need to look at what's going on with other mining stocks. EUA for example still mining, still trading, multi billion £ asset. 6 pence a share. Why buy here a company not producing???? When you can buy EUA at 6 pence, once the Russia & Ukraine war is over the SP will easily multi bag.
The next fund raise or a TO/JV but if copper is hit could be interesting.
Then what ?
The 900m drill results :)
Remind me, what game changing event are we waiting for now ?
Well the actual bid achieved by todays seller has risen by 0.01p on yesterday so the right direction but not hammer time yet (they were very silly trousers anyway).
If its any compensation Grappa, i would love to say we are going to overtake EUA soon but the truth is they are going to undertake us :-)
Good things come to those that wait for a very very very long time!
