I can see someone is making big sell out in the afternoon, not sure what is going on
Gamble? I was in @42p, then out @45p. now dropped to 32.5p, should I get in again? it is a gamble really, but think it is not just worth the same as the old price 20-30p. with AGM coming up tomorrow....may it rises?
I guess ETL should be around 30p-60p as I do not think that they will go back to their old price 20-30p after the success of its financial restructuring + partnership agreement with the Port of Dunkirk + when they raised about 1 bln eur. (I did think 36p is cheap, now 41p may be still ok to get in......not sure!!, BUT ETL is having the AGM on Friday, so let see what happen)
found the news, Eurotunnel signs railway partnership agreement with the Port of Dunkirk Eurotunnel and the Port Autonome de Dunkerque (PAD) have today, Wednesday 13 June 2007, signed a strategic partnership agreement with the intention of developing a coordinated approach to rail freight activities. Only 30 miles apart, Eurotunnel and the PAD manage major infrastructures on the French north coast which in 2006 transported a combined 74 million tones of goods. The combination of the land based and the sea ports means that there are many opportunities to share complimentary knowledge and many areas of common interest to explore. Following the success of its financial restructuring, Eurotunnel is concentrating on the re launch of rail freight as a major axis of development. The PAD has substantial rail infrastructure and is the leading port in France for forwarding sea borne goods by rail.
ETL. 30th May. This Co has seen the best sp rise May/June for some time now best let the shares drift until next buying opportunity, there are still some shareholders muttering for perks but it will not happen until this Co is back on its fee and well and truly dusted down and bruises can no longer show!.
any good news?? why it rised suddenly?
As a recent buyer of Eurotunnel does anyone know if they qualify for a discount on travel? If they do how many are needed? Thanks
Eurotunnel Avoid Even a discussion of Eurotunnel by Questor is one that would have seemed impossible two years back. Struggling under billions of pounds of debt, and with a business plan based on projections that were never going to be met, the business got off to a very bad start. However, since the Channel Tunnel operator completed its radical restructuring, its shares have been going like the proverbial TGV. After being halted at 25p prior to the debt-for-equity swap, the shares jumped 56pc to 39p on Tuesday, their first day of dealings, and then almost doubled yesterday. Yes, the company is in a better shape than it was, with just £2.84bn of debt, against its original £6.4bn. But there are still a number of complex instruments in place which make this less than plain sailing. The more positive might point to the strength of British Energy's shares after its own debt-for-equity swap, but even that has had its problems. Charles Stanley's Robert Corden says the value is now way above that of an equivalent infrastructure business, but stresses it is unlikely to be on the receiving end of a takeover offer. Instead, he says, the surge is more likely to be due to a big short position after trading resumed. For those who fancy themselves as something of a day trader, and who have money to burn, then by all means buy the shares. For the rest, Questor included, the shares are immensely difficult to value properly, and should be avoided. ref: http://
I was out @97p, good money
Thushara u done it a few times as well? yes me 2...this always happened, hard to know when to sell....thee best buy for me this month is bought in EMI on time @150p , then ETL @24.5p
100p? I have feeling that people set their target to at least 100p for this week, as it is so close now. I d set it as 90p for today, then I m off, & wait for it to drop little bit
I've done that a few times as well, it hurts, but i'll keep plodding on waiting for the big one. Well Done GedW and good luck Beginner!
I m unlucky, I was holding 17000@24.5p............before they suspended, I sold away lots.......otherwise I have a new car by now
Intigued by the rise here yesterday noticed that you had tipped this on Fri [oh had we of listened]Took the trouble to read thread history ans saw how you have spoken to yourself been mocked ,challenged etc etc but you have stood your ground and your insight spot on!
80p now to buy in........I neer see anything rise 100% in one day before, I guess ETL may worh 100p, in their history they orth 90p..
rise 100% soon!, crazy.......I think it is cos all the whole market is not good today, so more people throw all their money on ETL, will see over 80p soon, does ETL worth 100p?
ETL. Not bad uptick, could have been better but gamble and perseverence paid off. Locked in profits here. A dual listing helps.
jumped over 40% now.....I was unlucky........I sold away 12000 holding away before it was suspended.........just got 4000@26p left....
I guess still more to come in the next few weeks, as now they halved its 9.4 bln eur/6.2 bln stg debt.
I was right, 29.5 p now, but people may start selling to take profit, or may jump over 30p?
GedW, I guess u r holding lots of ETL?? I sold aways lots last week......just got 4000 left, but I bought in EMI @150p, not bad...
Guess this good news will make ETL jumps to 30p? (when it starts trading again) as now they halved its 9.4 bln eur/6.2 bln stg debt

ETL. With over 87% acceptances tendered for the GET Sa offer for ETL/ETL SA. ETL is saved as the offer was a clear success..
