Morning everyone, For those amongst us who find they are being transferred to Canada Exchange I have been trawling the tinternet and have come up with the following Web site that gives us a Bulletin Board. There will probably be others and if anyone knows of another site could they post the details. Thank you. http://www.stockhouse.com/companies/quote/v.ede/edge-resources-inc
Wisecrow, an interesting post and I hope you don't mind I shared it on ADVFN. I thought I would share an interesting post from ADVFN from Brad on Friday. Carpadium 4 Mar'16 - 21:04 - 3715 of 3720 2 0 During the 2 years invested in Edge I've found Brad never slow to respond and never less than honest in his replies. To my question 'what would you expect the annual saving to be by de-listing from AIM' Brad replied as follows. Normally I would consider it unethical to copy his reply word for word but, for UK investors, today's news is transformative and what he says may help some to make a decision. Hi xxxxxx, A year ago, the AIM fees were not overly burdensome; however, with the Canadian dollar plummeting and UK fees increasing (along with AIM becoming a more taxing and non-commercially-minded regulator), we went from a nominal CDN$50k/year to now approx. CDN$150k/year, which is an order of magnitude greater than the fees in Canada – literally 10x greater in the UK. It’s one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make in this environment of hard decisions. I’m completely aware of the huge support we have in the UK and I’m sure many will take this as a slap in the face. I do hope that some will see it less emotionally as a way to cut out a major cost and try to ensure there is a light at the end of this long, dark tunnel. A bigger slap in the face would have been an announcement that Edge is bankrupt or in receivership or something else equally terminal, for example. Thanks for the note, xxxxxx. We’ll fight our way through this… Brad Each to their own but I'm transferring my shares and and reasonably confident it may prove the right decision in the long term.
there will be no mercy
i bet .with today news .he or she .will lost .badly in coming weeks
following our lead Lol staying put
Check your mail Smidsy have sent 2 x mails to confirm my address, if not get it from Oilm. just to confirm I am still holding EDG and am waiting for information from HL going forward. If you remember I posted after MAGP ditched Sanlam after the 46million fiasco on here, they are the culprits her also, I intend to voice a complaint as a previous poster suggested. LATEST FROM HL Thank you for your email. I can confirm that our Corporate Actions Department are currently reviewing the information regarding the delisting of Edge Resources Inc. from the AIM market. Please rest assured that we will write to clients as soon as we have reached a conclusion. However, we do envisage that we continue to be able to hold the stock, even within the Vantage Stocks & Shares ISA and Vantage SIPP.
For one I am not concerned I await advice from T D Waterhouse in Luxembourg and will see what occurs from there I have been burned by AIM to often so hopefully will hold in Canada, long termer anyway $43 will be break even for EDG, not far away in my book GLA ALL
I've lost so much here that for what's left of my investment, I've decided to hold and see what happens. I've emailed HL too but haven't heard from them yet. I will transfer to TSX if it is sensible to do so. I might lose the lot but possibly Edge will hang on in there and I'll see some of my investment back in time. Perhaps I won't. This is my fourth AIM investment to go pear-shaped. Perhaps I'm just unlucky or perhaps it's just the nature of AIM! Good luck all, whatever you decide to do or have already done.
Robsky/Drew I use James Brearly & Sons Stockbrokers. They have branches all over the country with the head office based in Blackpool. The £100 is an annual fee for handling overseas accouints.
Smidsy, Good afternoon (or perhaps not lol). You did not reply to Robsky asking which broker would charge for managing the Canadian shares. I have not rung mine yet, thought I would wait until after the weekend. If it is £100 per year then my shares once worth tens of thousands and now only hundreds would be hardly worth keeping. GL anyway.
If anyone thinks the PIs have been shafted by the Company, MMs and major investors then voice you complaints to AIM via the following contact email. I have. aiminvestigations@londonstockexchange.com
Smidsy, Just for clarification my friend, Im out. Sold up. Absolutely disgusted with how Brad has manged this, and I am even more dissapointed in myself for not seeing this coming. Brad intentionally cancelled the UK investor visit last year as he was already considering pulling out of Aim. Henderson are out. Investors are not interested. We are transferring to an exchange that has very little liquidity and volume. For me there is no positives here. I will not be surprised if we get suspended sooner than the 15th. Also when we do transfer to the the Canadian exchange, the market cap will be eroded and Brad will almost certainly have dilution already planned at a ridiculously low price. This is the reason he has went quiet, I have called him on several things via email and he simpy does not have an answer. Good luck with your decision and all the best
My mail failed to arrive, have you changed your email address?
Check your mail
not this time
It is obvious that Brad is considering all angles on Edge and there must be a considerable saving by leaving AIM. I believe that issuing a RNS is costly and having Nomads and others in the UK must rattle up a huge bill. It would be interesting to receive an explanation from Brad giving a breakdown of the savings he expects to make. On the downside we will be hindered by the time difference between us and therefore will find it more difficult to watch the SP as trading starts five hours behind us. I could go on and on with the merits and demerits but in the main I don't think I will be too bothered by the move.
Morning Smidsy what a bummer didn't see this coming what broker are you with ? I have sent email to HL for an answer because my understanding is that we can buy and hold US shares on HL.
I have spoken to my Broker regarding the Canadian move and he informs me that my shares will be transferred automatically without any problems. However he informed me that they charge a fee of £100 to manage an overseas account. Do you think Brad will reimburse me with this fee? lol
Morning Hazydays1, I and others don't do twitting can you post the script if possible cheers..
10:28 04 Mar 2016 SP Angel was our joint broker • Edge Resources (CVE:EDE – C$0.01) – Painful, But Necessary: We will no longer provide any price information for the UK stock, and will hence forth only comment on the Canadian listing. We are taking this opportunity to reiterate our C$0.06 Price Target and BUY Recommendation. While today's news is disappointing, it is a measure of management's focus on costs. http://www.oilcapital.com/columns/sp-angel/24410/sp-angel-morning-oil-gas-edge-resources-24410.html
Yes loads of buys going through hoovering up shares, probably to folk that know the position better and are happy to transfer to TSX, personally not happy at selling at this level so holding for the moment, feel Nicol has truly sold PI's here right down the river.
Wonder why people are still buying? Make your own mind up.
Question is what value do the shares transfer? Will it be based on the value of the company here at de-listing? So little info on such a big decision.
buy in uk at .19 and transfer to TSX venture where they trade at .5 equivalent, then sell there making a nice 200%... got a feeling that it aint that easy tho
