I'm still holding this one, it's consolidating nicely and with some solid growth reported (5% wont cut it) then this should see a move back.

The constant sells by McArthur is annoying but he does still have around 40 mill of value in the company. Not privy to his personal situation but hopefully just some profit taking for his new mansion.

Full Year financial results due on Monday. Hoping this wont be a pump and sell the news day. Although, with this weeks drop maybe a few in the loop have already traded this.

I wonder what Simon Paul Taylor knows? Not much volume of late and certainly over sold given company performance.

No chance we will see a Type 83 by 2030. The Navy will extend the Type 45 vessel life and supplement with T26 and T31 over the next decade. If lucky BAE may get the contact for Type 83 but this wont commence build until 2030 at the earliest.

What I find interesting is that BAES have the Bow section of HMS Birmingham out to tendor to start build this year (winner announced Q1) and I wouldn't bet if HARL have thrown their hat into the bargain. I also know AP Tyne and Cammel Laird are at full capacity so it doesn't leave many other options for defence contracts.

Looks like most re-investing their Divi's. (I have this morning) Needs to take out 50p this week - broken recent range so looking good.

It's looking very likely that a certain shipbuilder will be offloading Bow section Type 26 HMS Newcastle. I know Cammell Laird and AP Tyne will not have the capacity within contract time frames - this will be going to Tender - and yes It's also very liklely that Fergusons will be building smaller units so they are not in the equation.

Both BAE and BAB are mostly at full capacity in their Naval Ships Business. 8 Type 26 from BAE and 5 Type 31 for BAB. Maintenance contract for both have still to be agreed but must likely be Devonport. I think HARL will need to prove themselves before being looked at for TO. There is the possibility of units being offloaded to HARL but that's as far as I see it. There is a major skills and supply chain shortage which is dictating the production speeds of these companies. This has to be resolved and I think HARL will be in a dogfight to attract workers to Belfast etc. Hence need to prove they have capability and can deliver to schedule!

However, overall daily volume 4.2m (well above average) but unbalanced. Looking for large buy to go through on open if clues are correct.

I always get confused with this so please enlighten me. Can I still buy today to receive the dividend or was cut off yesterday? Just strange the 17p is off the SP already.

I have a decent size holding from years back of which I've averaged down to a sensible £2.90 average. If I buy more shares today will I receive a dividend on these ?

Excellent post LC, all factual. GKP have been trying to increase production for several years- bottle necks and road haulage all past issues. However, until we get that RNS, this company produces circa 43k Per day, that is factual. So please everyone stop with the 55K SP predictions.
