They said that the cross border would be done by them. apparently T D in the UK is a franchise through a UK bank probably RBS. thats all I can tell you!! £40 was the deal to transfer 3.7 mill Hope that helps GL
My plan, very simply, allow EDG to delist, suspend and cancel. First Direct will send me my share certificate in transferred TSE/TSX shares. I then frame this certificate and put it on my wall until value of shareholding exceeds value of said clip frame - and then, maybe, find a dealer then. Also carrying Maggie, LGO and SEA in my battered portfolio.See you there perhaps.
Hi Robsky, we will probably need all the luck we can get. RNS this morning stating that we have been suspended from the LSE. It makes it sound like we have been cast from the ship and have to make our way to shore. How far we away from the Pitcairn Islands? lol No doubt you will keep one eye on Edge and maybe having some cryptic comment to make ha ha. I shall look forward to them.
Good luck you guys that are transfering to TSX decided not to, may regret it who knows all oily bets are now on the good ship Maggie....
I am with TD in the UK, they told me the charge is made by another company not themselves so how do you get TD Luxembourg to do it?Would be very interested.
Suspension tomorrow and no more trading on LSE. Smidsy, Robsky from the MAGP crew and all those others here from the early days: our boys have taken a hell of a beating but we are holding on for the Canadian $1 party. I have traded this a few times but kept a core holding since day 1 on AIM. Even tried to buy half a million at less than the 0.19 going rate at the bell but the mms were not having it. Perhaps this board will remain open for some time yet. Asta la vista guys.
Try T D Waterhouse, based in Luxembourg. used to be Internaxx, they are Canadian, crossed border trade will be done in 7 days
Charge for transferring shares £65.Value of holding,£15.Turned over once again I fear!!
Thanks guys, I'll have a look.
HL are doing my transfer. You won't be able to add more through them though. They'll just transfer an existing holding arranged with them before close of business today.
Hi shadders, I'm with James Brearley. tel 01253 831250 I have used them for several years and are very helpful with any query I have. They are sorting out the transfer to Canada for me. They obviously have their charges but they are handling everything. Hope this helps
Anyone know a broker to transfer to? Currently with Halifax and they don't deal with TSX. Thanks.
I stand corrected. We normally see an RNS in early March for the 3rd Quarter figures. This time we got the delisting news instead. Having looked at the figures on sedar I realise I've actually read information quoting them so I'm not sure what I was thinking. Apologies if I've confused anyone.
Not sure what you mean about accounts GC. Dec 2015 figures released at end of last month and available to all at seDar dot com.
I certainly hope so. I may get a few more on Monday if the share price drops any more. It would be great to have the accounts info now. We don't so it's a risk without knowing the full picture but if the oil price rises before Edge run out of money then people buying now should be quids in. A one for one share transfer within your ISA can't be bad. For those holding, the price falling on AIM purely because of people exiting is not really an issue and it's a great buying opportunity if you feel the investment is right for you.
I picked some up at .005 Edge will survive IMO.. a cease trade on AIM is why this is happening and like another poster stated the brokers who are part of Edge trading over in Europe are dumping whatever they had here as part of thier protocal.. lucky for whoever picked up @ .005 .. just hold them for a bit! So I picked up a bundle @ .005 .. how can you not? Glad I sold out earlier too when it was sinking with oil prices.. but its appearing oil prices are starting to turn around finally and EDE hits the lowest possible basement allowed on the venture. Did we all just win the lottery here... maybe???? I figure at least the company had the nards to announce it and give shareholders over in EU a chance to do something about it instead of being sneaky and pulling a fast one.. you have my respect Brad! I have followed Edge for my whole investment career, I have made some serious cash trading their stock on the venture.. and will continue to do so especially with picking up at .005! Grab what you can and hold them I say! Read more at http://www.stockhouse.com/companies/bullboard/bullboard/v.ede/edge-resources-inc#yPaEgmYapPfhPcQc.99
I've just signed up to Stockhouse so I can use the Edge Bullboard. Perhaps I'll see some of you on the other side?
I should have read back though the posts but thanks for posting the link again Drew57. I'll check it out and sign up.
The only bb over there I have seen is that mentioned by smidsy earlier; Stockhouse. http://www.stockhouse.com/companies/quote/v.ede/edge-resources-inc They call their bulletin board 'the bullboard' - which I think is highly appropriate in many cases.
That's what I've just done. I was delayed getting online and missed the best price - just my luck - but I've taken the plunge and topped up with £2.5k. A good decision? Time will tell. If it's of any interest I found out a bit more about the transfer and trading while talking to HL: Shares will be transferred to TSX on a 1 to 1 basis. They can be held in an ISA It will not be possible to buy more shares once on TSX (at least, not through HL) When selling, HL need to go through HSBC so there will be an additional charge of £15 on top the HL dealing fee. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. I noticed a spread of 66% for a while this morning, so anyone selling then was getting really bashed by the MMs. It's not fair - they always manage to make money regardless of the situation! There have been some good posters on the board over the last year or two. I haven't posted much but I've checked in a lot always found their posts helpful. So I'm taking this opportunity to say thank you and to see if there is any consensus about a new board we can use? Or any other way for longer term investors to keep in touch?
The folk that are transferring to Canada will be loading up on the last 2 days of EDG being traded on AIM
What's happening here? Buys coming in thick and fast!
Good move!!
looks like someone picked up 2m shares today at 0.2p a pop. potential bargain time if prepared to take risk. i/m going to transfer my main holding to tsx, with oil price slowly starting to stagger back who knows. good luck to you all whatever you decide to do.
Good luck GC likewise here mate but decided to take the hit and go elsewhere, I could not have any confidence in Nichol again, In your position it would probably be beneficial to load up now I don't think the transfer would cost any more and someone (probably MM's) are going to make a killing from all of us that sold out for a pittance and large losses.
