Let's hope he doesn't lose his 1 account lol.
Very true jake. It is possibly even more promising that the key account concerned is in his job title, I don't remember seeing that anywhere before.
Hi Colour. Speaking from personal experience I always insisted any company winning my business would appoint a key account manager and it would be costed into the bid. My rationale was simple, a single point of contact to manage any issues upwards within their company to ensure smooth delivery of the contract.
That being the case I would say it's quite promising. You don't appoint a key account manager if there is no likelihood of winning any business in my experience.
I would go along with that if it was an labour intensive company.
As CC has said in the past most our work like manufacturing, installing etc is done by others.
Although it would not necessarily happen in the future CC have given a past ratio of 1m units earnings = £20m.
So like most software companies the future is sales not production, I think JC realises that the last year has seen CC top up with many staff. I think that is sufficient plus the occasional contract specialists.
Given the current Turnover, company value, and number off staff it takes to acheive it, CC would need around 100,000 people employed for that size business. They confirmed no furlough, and everyone was working flat out, that will need a seismic change.
As you say Colour this could well fit in with his background. Possibly looking at setting up CC in USA, may like living there. I believe most of America has Smart but is it the right Smart, may be CC could be the next generation as there are distances to cover over there.. Also SEW are mainly water so opportunities there.
I'm getting carried away but that coupled with India volume could turn CC into a £1bn+.
If that came to pass together with Africa etc it is not unrealistic.
DYOR on this one, LOL.
It's just interesting Ajoy gets the title and USA seems a good fit with his background and SEW in the mix. There are many companies/ investments that could do well with the global uptake of Smart seeming to be taken seriously right now. If he is on the Board of Advisors in America, SEW may well be selling CC product faster than in India anyway.
I don't get how JC is starting a new business outside of CC, and it's unrelated. Maybe he is on a part time contract, but the timing seems odd.
Colour if this goes on should soon pass my 40p, way beyond.
Glad your aboard no matter what size.

Yes Colour, just did that. Interesting.
Check his places of education.
This is even stretching my imagination, Account Manager Intellismart OK but what is this Americas, sounds like a University Chair.
It indicates to me, how important the IntelliSmart business is viewed by CyanConnode.
While also keeping an eye open for any opportunities in New Territories.
LTI.
It's an interesting title for sure. Never seen one that includes a single key account name.
It was. And an interesting new brief that Ajoy seems to be targeting now, at home ( India ) and abroad.
LTI.
is now titled ' President Americas and Key Account Manager IntelliSmart '.
I can only assume this new title came when Ratna was made MD & CEO India.
JC appears to have launched a new Media Co. last month also.
