On the other side Deutsche Bank starts Currys with 'hold' - price target 58 pence
so which one are you going with??????
I didn't have time to watch to full of that webinar but watched a bit where that guy (forgot his name, sorry) is talking about how big the currys is in comparison to competition, namely to AO world which is online competitor only, and even in that measure is much much smaller than what Currys are doing online. So why is AO valued only 10% less then Curry atm.
I know there was a big loss coming from the nordics region and he explain why that happened and what they doing to mitigate that, but also that Currys is also maintaining it leading market share over there.
So the question is, If the next set of results will prove that the company is again back on track and making profit, perhaps even paying a dividend, can we see the SP going up and to what level?
Any thoughts?
Thank you for the link Yellowstone

Nice uplift today - why?
Https://www.retailgazette.co.uk/blog/2024/04/currys-shareholder-id-mobile/ Won’t be long before curry’s ends up just a slimmed down uk electric retailer and repair business . But the sale of ID and Nordics would get the share price moving and see chunky return of cash to investors.Good luck all
RBC raises Currys price target to 85 (75) pence - 'outperform'
Guess it was a serious opportunistic bid 🤭
Ge0
Bid or no bid does not matter ultimately with this one.
Was possible to mproved many positions as long at the holder did not sit pat.
Have a nice low cost holding in a company with prospects and will add & trim to lower average or add more shares over time.
Glad it is not over abd look forward to trading this in a rising market.
Are AO not national just have no stores ?
Thing is Mary was the bid ever serious or was it a case of an opportunity through Due Diligence and crawl all over the books of our last surviving nationwide Electrical retailer?
Yes I fully agree
It looks to me that the city hasn;t taken too much notice here today. Two bidders withdrawing has given the city the idea that this was going to drop today. So its been a bit overlooked.I now expect a couple of brokers upgrades suggesting 75-85p here.
Up 6% in the end. Looks like I made the right decision to stay in this share as a recovery is in progress with the news looking much better going forward. No takers are required after all.

The disposal of Greece is on track to complete in the first half of April, resulting in the Group finishing the financial year in a net cash position.
Current Year Guidance
Group adjusted profit before tax is expected to be at least £115m (previously guided £105-115m).
Just what we needed. Sales growth stronger than expected and profit will be at least 115m, an upgrade from the 105 to 115m range before
