This afternoon my CTEC shares became my poorest investment ever. I actually bought my shares after the fall, @217, and should have had the sense to bail when they were above 210 and falling. I can afford to hold indefinitely but am annoyed at my naivety on this occasion. I didn't anticipate that they would ever fall this far but will be super-careful when buying falling shares in future. This having been said, there are a number of FTSE-350 shares that have behaved in a similar fashion recently. I hope that this isn't leading to something worse!
This will eventually recover once CTEC has its supply line, and back-up storage operational, and it can demonstrate that its strategies are back on target. I am in a quandary as I continued to patiently hold as the share price declined in anticipation of a bounce. This didn't happen and CTEC is one of the market's most unloved shares for the time being. I am hoping for a recovery, and perhaps a small profit in the run up to Christmas or maybe in the New Year. However, it is impossible to predict what will happen due to a lack of information re. CTECs progress with its logistic difficulties.
looking better now after wee drop at open. once selling has dried up this should begin to rise. fingers crossed for a blue day!
a bounce is overdue but i prefer a steady uptrend. we got one few days ago up to 198p but since then its been constant down. i thought the director buy would help the SP today.
Best time to buy is when u make your own judgement
Tlw goin stick my neck out an assume u a day trader ! Good luck to you too as well
SP keeps on drifting, when is a good time to buy?
You are right Whiteace. It is a case of holding tight and waiting for a recovery- however long it may take. My question seemed pointless, I agree. I phrased it badly, and what I was after was news about the company and its share price. Good luck to you.
Tlw regarding ur stance with ur observation an hold statements it makes no difference as to how low it falls as if you holding it will balance out in time so just patience is needed in your case !
If we knew the answer we would be millionaires but as you Can see it’s in the 180s now
The CTEC share price continues to fall, apparently unchecked due to an absence of news about the company? Does anyone have a further update on what is going on? Alternatively, is there any indication as to what the floor might be?
Morning dbno got you good luck :o )
i mean 190s. nice entry after pull back from 215 resistance. but i want exit price above 215.
Sub 200 isn’t really an answer ? That could mean 120?
Peter ? Thanks for what ? He never gave u the answer ! Lol u guys are funny
Thanks
i've added at these at these sub 200p prices. other shares i've held where directors have made purchases has always boosted the SP. Premier Oil (PMO) and Vectura (VEC) both rose nicely when directors bought. 100,000 share purchase is no small change.
Lol dbno you have a stalker by the looks of it with his posts history an obviusly someone who has got new identity hense his connection with pmo board ! On serious note 180’would be nice but don’t think it’ will get there .
Dbno, what price do you think I should buy it for?
release after 3pm this afternoon, i missed it! CFO has purchased 100,000 shares. On 30 and 31 October 2017 Frank Schulkes, the Company's Chief Financial Officer and a PDMR, purchased Shares in the Company as follows; 30 October 2017 - 50,000 Shares at 2.014399 per share. 31 October 2017 - 50,000 Shares at 1.959335 per share. Mr Schulkes' resulting shareholding is 100,000 Shares.
no still aboard. i don't recall saying 180s? for the record i did sell at c.215p. my avg low though i regret buying on friday afternoon. its been down every day since then. it bounced strong off the lows yesterday only to fall back to where we are today. RSI around 20 so very oversold.
But in my opinion this should be upto 200 in time ! For daytraders perhaps not what they would like as they like instant profit !
Think dbno may of abandoned ship ? Perhaps 180s to come as he’s never wrong ! :) there in lies your answer ..
The share price continued to slide, and today's value is in excess of 32% down from the highs of last month. The absence of any news about the company seems to be interpreted negatively by the market at the moment. How low it will sink is anybody's guess?
Thanks for your reply my2penneth. This is useful information to have especially with regard to CTEC. I am seriously considering abandoning ship if I can break even (or better) over the next few weeks. I believe that this company will recover, but now have no idea as to the time scale involved. I didn't anticipate a few weeks ago that the share price would eventually fall to its current level - although there seems to have been the similar falls with a number of equities lately. All the best to you.
