Momentum clearly there*
All good, but does anyone know how much cash we had left wonder if it was used for this to offer company people performance shares, momentum curious to know when we break into us
I saw the placing as sensible and am continuing to hold. I even thought about adding a few but am
waiting for a wee while until we see the outcome of Fridays farce.
Long term investors. TW: "Mercia topping up its holding. The rest came from either management or VCT/EIS funds.
The good news is that NONE of those taking part can thus flip the shares. " And even with dilution he targets them more than doubling in price from here.
I don't know for certain but if the placement was not to bucket shops to flip it is probably to a mixture of existing investors and close associates, who know the company's potential.
Thanks Brycen, then why does it say with the company, I took that to mean
1- company staff have bought it
2- free allocation to the company
I'm not overly familiar with the technical language but if it is as you say then you're right it's very good, personally I think concepta has a good mature product
No, he wasn't. He commented on the latest RNS as he does every single RNS. He tipped this years ago not recently. So, no connection.
I think it means the broker placed the shares direct with an investor, or investors, maybe institutional or wealthy PIs. I see that as a good positive signal for CPT.
High risk dodgy companies are of no interest to institutional or wealthy PIs. Shares would be placed with bucket shops at a massive discount, to be flipped to small PIS in a hard sell. I experienced that with Beaufort, before they were closed down!
If any investor now holds in excess of 3% there should be a notification.
Long term hold
Placing was expected. It's sales we need now.. this is a Ltd and gamble now. It still though surprise
.......recently. Typical, a placing pops up after he tips a stock.
26,750,000 of the placing shares were subscribed directly to the company.......what the f@ck does that mean?
I think we should 'park' the China opportunity for now, maybe dormant rather than dead and I don't get the impression any resources are deployed there; they may come back to us when they see success in Europe. Boots will be online and with their 'footfall' I''m not sure expensive marketing will be required - social media mostly perhaps. TW was encouraging investors to talk to the new chairman at the event. He considers him to be a heavyweight who is turning the company around and now has a target of 'at least' 10p fwiw.
only saw the dragon's den aspect - 1 minute pitch. Very impressive and was well received. Tie up with Boots was mentioned and in discussions with 2 European companies too. No mention of previous China roll out
The stand was very busy too with investors so was unable to get to the front and ask questions. Main 4 I wanted to ask was:
1) current cash position - assume Boots tie up will require a fair bit of marketing spend. Do we have it?
2) Cash burn - when is breakeven anticipated
3) China - is this now dead or is there still a presence there (if so how small and is it growing)
4) Boots tie up - how many stores, if any? Roll out plan e.g. stand alone product placement or just put on shelves
If anyone knows any answers to these please let me know
Was anyone able to see CPT's presentation Sarurday Morning at London Investor Show please ?
My travel plans got screwed when trains cancelled early Saturday because of someone on the lines :-(
A buy out might not come from a company in this particular application but from one that has an eye on the growing scope for a wide range of applications for mobile-centered 'self-managed' health care and thus less costly interactions with health professionals. Great potential for addressing burdens on the NHS of course but I have wondered if private health care companies see scope for extending the reach of their health check and testing services beyond the limitations of their high overhead hospitals. Concepta plan to extend their applications later this year so maybe the penny will drop then if not before.
They also mentioned roll out in Europe, so maybe this is becoming a full international thing, if fda approval came, no reason why it shouldn't, then itll fly, this is a great product and it looks like alot of couples will buy it priv just to see where they are, I reckon a buy out is definitely on the cards, the question is who?

I agree people need to be aware of it but they will be marketing it more themselves and with Boots also assisting with the marketing I think it should take off fairly quickly.
ironman - you can only buy it if you know it exists. Being instore would increase awareness of the product.
You can already buy it online via CPT's website but most people don't know the product exists. A marketing budget is required too to drive footfall - either instore or online
The RNS states it will be sold online. It may well be sold in stores aswell im not sure but the point is it doesnt matter how many stores they have how big or small they are or where they are, if you can buy it online anyone can buy it, anywhere at any time.
Selling on line is the key to this. With Boots on board we should start to see some traction but then probably get whacked with a placing..
whilst clearly good news my concern is that there is no mention of how many stores it will be sold through and when. This is pretty standard in such announcements. Boots has c2,500 UK stores although about 1/2 are quite small. They have c500 'big' stores and this product would be ideal in these. However, CPT will need to evidence they have sufficient stock and a process to replenish it. Maybe there is still work to do in this space
Glad I'm not the only one who was asking that this morning. It's good news though - guess we could argue worth repeating twice :) Maybe this time it'll actually do something for the share price, too.
was just trying to figure that one out... other than adding boots.com?
