I have a bizarre a situation where the allocated share offer in my HL account is showing rejected but my additional ask of 14450 shares was accepted and in my HL account, the funds for the rejected amount were taken but not allocated.
If it's not allocated or returned on Monday I will contact HL
I've been searching online and can't see anything. All I know is what I asked for, and what I've been given.
Has anyone read how the excess applications were allocated?
Thanks JJ,
Makes a change to be on the other side of it for a change instead of getting shafted.
I originally got in here late March when it was 40p then sold at 88p which was good, invested again and then took up to offering and intend to hold for a while.
This business appears to have a strong future once the economy gets back on its feet, lots of government contracts around and they’ve been awarded a few
sw10000 it seems like a brilliant deal, and much better than what we get from MTRO. Good luck JJ
Just to add, I sold my existing shares yesterday for 75p after I was allocated the shares at the reduced rate.
Let’s see if this gets honoured
Think I’ve been quite lucky, I requested 20k shares which were apparently granted and the money has been taken. My initial allotment were 5834 but I thought I would try my luck to request more.
Fingers crossed it shows tomorrow as the funds were taken and showing in HL
To me it doesn't look like we'll get many shares over the basic entitlement. Most basic was taken up and the excess was heavily oversubscribed, hence the rally today in COST. Although your money has all been 'deducted', most of it will be re-credited after your excess shares are purchased. I'd wait and see how many you get and then decide what you want to do.
Hi All, I've accepted to purchase the new open offer shares, more than they offered and it seems to be accepted, I am just waiting for the shares to be processed as I can see the money has been deducted from my account. However... as I have been reading the comments on your thread, I can see some advice to sell existing shares and purchase the new shares with that money. I have a couple of questions around this if anyone can help:
1) Is it advised to sell my current shares and keep the new ones? How will this affect my funds?
2) If I keep my current shares, will the value of these decrease when the new shares are issued? Or is it not possible to know yet?
Thanks!
Thank you usersteve.
That’s what I did, took up the offer to buy 20k worth of shares at the offer price, worst case I only get which was allocated.
I then sold the existing shares.
Great result if I get all of the shares at 60p, if not I will just buy back depending on the buy price or see if they drop close to 60p
Maninpink, I *think* (not 100% certain, though) that you are able to sell your existing COST shares, and then buy the Open Offer shares at 60p. Remember two things, though:
1 the Offer is for only 4 new shares for every 13 that you did have. So if you had 1300 old stares, the initial Offer is for 400 new shares.
2 you do have the option to request to buy more than just the 400 they've offered - but there is no guarantee they will sell you any more than the offered 400.
Morning am I allowed to sell all my shares and re buy at 60 ? or do I need to hold so many .. So if that seems a silly question
Thank you
And they are 60p.
If it’s like HL, you’ll first need sufficient money in your account to activate the purchase option. I have until Friday lunchtime to confirm. I suspect yours is similar.
Sorry just read back, I presume it’s the 29th then
Hello all,
I use ii, the app shows I have 930 shares held in the sub offer at 0.00 book cost and 0.00 average.
Are these shares held for me to be able to purchase at the .50p price? And when can I purchase them? Currently I do not have the option to buy them?
Thanks.
