They might as well tell us what Jim's cat had for breakfast - that would be as useful as the stuff they do post.
I see ISAPENSION is still spewing out utter drivel with his worthless posts. He has been sitting here waiting and waiting. A while ago, I made a mistake by buying back into CNR, but I soon got out and switched to BRWM - big gain and dividends too. What did I tell you - sitting and waiting makes you a sitting duck missing out on better opportunities elsewhere.
Yes, CNR seems to hold potential, that was why I bought back in, but it is all theoretical. This boards gets lots of posts that seem very authoritative and knowlegeable, but it is all bluff. They have been posting comments like that for ages, but the price never rises. Those know-alls pretend to be posting analysis and experts opinion, but they know nothing.
Sometimes a national focus on conservation issues overcomes local benefits. However, in the case of La India so much has been done with the local community this should easily succeed. From fresh drinking water to associated benefits trickle through to the local economy from large numbers of employed people. As far as local landowners/miners are concerned, they surely have a depleting asset so this is why MC is confident he can make a good deal. More news due shortly on La India/Cacao drilling and an update of the mill purchase. Personally having drilled successfully amongst the UK pharmas, I have discovered a further rich seam of high grade patience.
Thanks for this Seingred, however I do belive overall Condors involvement and scale of operations will be to the benefit of the local population, unfortunately there will be some locals who prosper more than others through the deal and would hope that Condor act as fair as possible in all dealings with the local residents.
Yes, there were some protests, and yes I don't think the company mentioned them. However they were well covered and discussed on here at the time. Much of the coverage at the time was high on emotion and low on facts. There was enough disingenuous BS coming from some of the protest leaders themselves that I lost respect for the movement. Every development in the world of any nature has those who oppose it. There has not been anything recently (that we are aware of). They may have been partially responsible for the IFC selling out, but they were never going to get much further. If there was any genuine wrong-doing, it was likely committed by the government/police, rather than Condor.

Real , the ammount of jobs created by mining is relatively small compared with the amount of cash extracted and small compared with agriculture .
The kind of issues mentioned are rife in mining generally . mining companies are not likely to offer any admission of any wrongdoing are they ? Best to realise that some will always be trampled on for shareholders to hopefully get huge multibags .
Real there have been numerous indigenous attacks .they are real . La india isnt in this area but the article relating to martin does relate to indigenous areas .

It does seem surprising considering Mark/CNR seem to be going out of their way to help and gain the support of the local communities.
At worst in will be a small bump in the road as we have so much happening!
A very amateurish article, poorly written and poorly researched.
If your going to name either individuals or companies in unjust activities, you have to give them the chance to respond, this give zero opportunity to give there side of any accusations or have even attempted to ask.
This is from nearly six months ago in a Black News online publication looking for injustices. It does mention Condor and the billions companies are going to take out of the ground.
Doesn't mention the jobs, infrastructure or indeed the fact the locals wouldn't be able to extract the "billions worth" of product out of the ground.
Trying to stir up trouble where there is none and best ignored.
https://www.blackstarnews.com/global-politics/latin-america/nicaragua-invasions-of-indigenous-land-intensify-amid is this the article which was published in Oct 2020?
If it is - pretty one sided and I don't exactly see Condor & MC has behaved in the manner described. cannot speak for calibe and b2gold - as know very little about them. Seen plenty evidence posted here that locals are pretty supportive of work being done by Condor?
Being in Nic makes me much more nervous than other investments is safer political environments.
1st time i have seen condor mentioned maybe the randy connection
copy and paste and put in search bar
Thanks Campbells,
Do you have a link. Only similar story I can find is from 2020.
