Who is MWI? what i hope is that this whole miserable process, that should never have happened, will at least underline that CNEL is a proper business and while the directors have run the company as their own little fiefdom for a long time the auditors, at least, cannot find wrongdoing so they might change their ways. The BIG discount for CNEL has been this i suspicion so if it is tidied up then we might see a positive return especially with dividends and forward guidance on plans. In all honestly they should have not spent millions on moving to HKex and simply used the cash to buy back all the shares and taken CNEL private. Then they can award contracts to mates and do whatever they like as it is their business. until that day they need to do proper processes to select marketing and PR companies etc. Looks like we are now waiting on 2021 finals as well so a lot of reports must be getting lined up so we can get back to trading in April or May.
CNEL
MWI £3.7m net profit
£12m cash reserve
£54m market cap.
CNEL
£6.47m net profit
£35m cash reserve
£25.76m market cap.
How can CNEL be such a crap listed company given all the variables. We should be at least £150m market cap going for a like for like company. Share price needs to be at $0.25 hkd a share. Especially with green hydrogen now cheaper than grey hydrogen and price of fuel.
Forgive if wrong but one issue of HL is you cant buy and sell blocks of shares can you? Also i think it is all over the phone? I opened a IBKR account so i can freely buy and sell this stock online and low cost but it does depend on what your plans are and plans on holding or even building a stake. Not sure ease of doing anything while stock is suspended though.
Would second AJ bell. I only have them holding this and have no complaints all my other holding are with IWeb. 1 bonus of the long suspension for me is no fees to pay lol
ii also recognise CNEL
Thanks a lot.

Upwards in Price Rapidly Seems to be the Result
Try AJ Bell. They hold my CNEL shares. They have always been very efficient whenever I've made transfers in [although I've never done this with securities not listed in London].
Hi guys. I need some help to find a broker who can trade this share in HK stock market. I got this share through Lloyds share dealing 9 yrs ago, and just left there. Only just found out they are no longer trading at UK stock market. Lloyds ask me to get a broker myself and they can transfer cross. I have no idea about it. Any recommendation? Many thanks.
With oil likely to head ever skyward as US sanction Russian oil proper how will this impact Ethanol? part of the reason Ethanol has been less adopted was partly cost relative to oil and partly supply. in regards to cost ethanol will be becoming cheaper by the day relative to oil but at the same time i know supply of raw materials for Ethanol have not been more abundant. I wonder how the next crops of raw materials for Ethanol will fair and how other countries might be looking more closely at the oil situation as Russian oil is pretty substantial. At the same time i also wonder if China will be getting a lot of cheap oil coming their way if Russia has no buyers except a few economies. Strategically CNEL should be booming as Ethanol plants are needed all over the world to keep up with demand but i do wonder how the impact on Ukraine will impact CNEL positively and negatively as there are many variables at play. CNEL are so undervalued i suspect all this will wash over CNEL and biggest impact will be board improving transparency, forward guidance and dividend. Lets hope we get results before April as that would be the first birthday of gross incompetence.
I am with interactive investor and ever since we stopped trading the price just flickers between HKD$0.45 and HKD $0.43 =GBP £0.044 per share, nothing higher!
nothing has come back to life yet! so i am just guessing Halifax has put £ instead of $ sign
Yes indeed a nice 5 bagger
Let’s hope so
Halifax is showing 45pence not £45 per share. Would still be a nice value to resume trading at, when that happens.
Oh well must be a Halifax error
I’ll still be checking Monday lol
Unfortunately we aren’t re listed yet! Hopefully results very soon and then re listing!.. I’d take £45.00 share price, seems reasonable!! I would then fly off on my private jet that I’d purchased that morning and land on my private island! Sadly,£45.00 is a little too much..
Are we relisted my account shows £45.00 share price
My only update from Ivy today is the following and not terribly helpful apart from we are not there yet :
“The auditors are still working on the audit.”
We have to get a dividend. 5.5 yrs I am invested here and need to see some form of a reward. Only future company has is hydrogen or ethanol outside prc. Think we will win a Sunbird contract in Zambia. Surely win work in india also.
Given we have had so many delays i am just happy to hear Auditors are around trying to clear the fy2020 and interims. That is quite a lot to get through and 2021 finals should also now be being prepared. I do not think they can return until both years are released now although would like to get clarification as year end was 31st December so now 2 months in so they would be expected to release in April so i just cant see trading starting before we get fully up to date. That does not mean we will not be dripfed results over coming weeks but i am not expecting trading until after April. the other factor will be whether a dividend will be anounced in fy2020, interims or 2021 and of course if they provided a dividend across all periods it would be a confident return. If they return with no dividend it will simply underline that the board will continue their cosy relationships with their mates paying in advance 24 month contracts and not expect much in return. The proposed Canada deal with their school buddy was almost certainly planned to be their big payoff. IWe have got to keep up the pressure to push the board to return money to shareholders through legitimate methods.
Given up trying to second guess what's going on at CNEL tbh. It's a slow painful process that drags on.
What are peoples thoughts in regards to this? Is there any hope for CNEL?
Any audit has checks and balance, they investigate and comment, then their are replies. This can often go back and forth until it’s officially approved.
Biofuel production, the article mentions control measures rather than ending corn use. I would expect any use would need to be latest generation technology to maximise output.
Just my opinions rather than any specific insight.
Ethanol china is over. Government have implemented policies to stop corn use in ethanol. Hopefully Zambia or India will provide work. They better pay us out a dividend to stop us bleeding money.

Let’s just hope it’s a delay or just another hurdle that we need to overcome, there has to be a certain amount of time between the extra recommendation and proving this is the case I can only assume?. I have reached out today to see what I can get in the way of allaying our fears. We will see and if I hear anything I shall update…
Can you give me an explanation as to what might be happening with cnel atm. Something detrimental must have been found by the auditors. Why is there silence at such a crucial juncture
