You bunch of loosaaass
No1plasterer,
Looks like you left a lot on the table. With the bots suddenly springing into action.
I've put some sell orders in higher up, just in case, you never know what might happen, when something goes from a few trades to multiple trades in a few seconds.

Really shocked to see that they only bought back 48,186 shares yesterday. One of the lowest purchases seen to date even although there was good trading volume yesterday.
If your share buy-back program hasn't been designed to take advantage of such situations as yesterday then there is something fundamentally wrong with it.
They should have been "making hay when the sun shines"
Given the volume that did occur they should have bought back at least 250,000 shares yesterday.

Sadly I was out most of yesterday & didn't get to trade it as I would have liked.
I had placed 3 different buy orders all of which were filled the lowest being at 172.8p the highest 177.2p (although the limit had been set at 178.1).
If I'd been around & seen the RNS I would have spread the prices out far more.
LOTM
Yup I traded it and made £400
Sold at 175
Did anyone buy the dip ?
Why is the stock price dropping today ???? I do not het it ????
To all those who bad mouthed the newmed deal as a “bad deal” - this is what you have voted for, enjoy!
It’s the delays to the Sangomar development that has caused the sp drop. The US$100m cash they were expecting to receive this year will probably now be zero due to the delays in the development of this massive project operated by Woodside.
Egyptian economy meltdown isn’t helping either as conversion from Egyptian currency into dollars proving very difficult.
Can’t blame “old management” they set up a very attractive takeover deal that would have netted shareholders over 300p in cash and equity value.
Look elsewhere for the value destroying culprits.
In hindsight buying the Egypt assets was a huge mistake. Despite a boom in O&G prices during 2022 and average brent price higher than when it was bought it's only problems. Another reason to sack older management.
I think it really isn't the current management's fault, they are doing what they can with what they were given.
I'm not sure what is the reason for today's drop and I'm considering buying some but to be honest, the egypt assets are just a big dissapointment
I agree it's disappointing but not sure what they can say or do. Why the big drop today is a question, we know it is being shorted but maybe something else is in play.
Can this share price go?
I have rarely witnessed such a disaster area of cash destruction in a listed share and never in one which won a $ billion in a legal dispute!!!!!
What the F are the Board saying or doing to stop this from going lower?
Were the targets for the Q4 dividend announced already? After all of the changes to senior leadership, and the cost cutting initiatives I am hoping to see a healthy increase in share price, and hoping for a profitable rest of the year.
Blimey, here we are in H2 already.
Nearly time for another dollop of Modis Billion.
Jolly Good.
Carry on.

Egypt is corrupt.....from top to bottom.
I have sent an email to them this morning, asking for an update on the said article you referred to. Along with the £145,000,000 outstanding. Awaiting a reply. Will post any response.

Ref Egypt no mention in this story of CNE.....and they are late paying!
I’m assuming this is a sarcastic post… !
The stock price sees to be going down not up? It needs to go up faster.
Have I got the wrong end of the stick?
The quantity of director dealing fills me with confidence.
The share rebuying is having the desired effect and is returning value to shareholders by increasing the SP on a daily basis.
Keep calm and carry on.
So we are reducing our G&A still further, walking away from all our growth assets except a very mature, non-operated field onshore Egypt thats eats capex just to keep the production from declining. Oh and (surprise, surprises) the Egyptians are overdue with their cash payments for the gas. Looks like a winning strategy, not!
Really disappointing to find out that CNE hardly bought any of that 4M auction lot on the 16th June.
With such a fantastic price on offer you would have thought they would have been wanting buy in more than a mere 213K of shares during the day!
So what if it had used up more than 50% of the money they had left set-aside in one go. Compare that to the £2.25+ they were ok paying pre the consolidation/special dividend & it was an absolute no brainer.
LOTM
I hope CNE bought most of that 4M lot.
Fantastic price to be buying them in at. Would put them on course to get the shares in issue number down to under 139M by the time the $25M initial buy-back is spent. Hopefully they will continue it / extend it further.

Possibly ABRDN are finally out. sure an RNS early next week.
4m shares traded in the closing auction.
