Interesting, thanks for the update
Interesting to hear - thanks 531. When I considered buying today I thought it was more likely private investors selling than say insiders forewarned. It is possible the trade after hours is someone buying the spare from today at the end of day auction. Trading view has the results due out on Tuesday, not sure if that is based on anything accurate (Most companies do announce in advance when this will be, but does that work down at Sunday pub league?).
Poor treatment of investors here for sure and sets the tone as rather unprofessional.
The 2 x 90k trades early this morning were Sells; I still hold a similar amount of CMH shares after these Sells.
I'd added during Sep and Oct in the hope that CMH would publish their results in early Nov, and accompany it with an update saying that they were well on their way to making a yearly profit that matches their current market cap (i.e. they are many times undervalued).
That hasn't happened and, as someone has already pointed out, what's the delay if the results are in line with previous guidance? I still think CMH will come good for the reasons pointed out by other people - power costs fixed, new contracts, competitors ceasing trading etc
But the lack of comms, and leaving results to the last minute is is not great.
Good to know. The last 2 trades were buys then. Given the price on the other trades I do think they were sells. Be great if they were buys though, given that results are due to land at any point. On that subject, into next we go! 4 trading days left ⏰
The last one at 16:29:40 was my buy. 35074 shares @ 2.54.
I'll probably lose the lot!
I’m not against a modest placing, but only if it’s going to be used to help generate income down the line. We know that the profit we made during the year was pretty minimal. So, if they want extra capital to invest into the business to increase profit then so be it. I definitely don’t want to see a placing just to raise funds for working capital!
I'm with you Draft.
Just like many AIM investors of late, I'm just sick of all the BS in this market. Everything is front run, management are not straight with investors and the list goes on.
Hacked off
Could the sells be forward sells in conjunction with a placing. However, would that happen so close to the results being published? It would have to be an II involved
Second half weighted, won more business, took on business from competitor who went bust, new largish contract, overall sector seems busy...so only reason someone might sell if they dont want to hold into results or something else has happened
Absolute load of sh*t.
Someone's clearly had the heads up, dumping stock on a Friday afternoon, seen it all before.
Yeah just saw that too. strange timing
Hmm round sells going through. Has there been a leak? Are they part of an upcoming placing?
Get these results out and let’s have a look
Last year The final results were published at lunchtime on a Friday so still a chance they will be released today. If not, then we go into injury time next week!
Especially, as we’ve been led to believe, the results will be unremarkable.
6 months is more than enough time to prepare end of year accounts!
Dunno why companies leave it to last minute!

C’mon, get your finger out
Hopefully with the plan to onshore more manufacturing etc we can get our turnover up and profit to match
Looking at last filed accounts for Thomas Dudley foundrys , that also had a revenue of about 20mill. CMH used to back in the day almost have a 50mill revenue
Interesting link there, so we probably are being given some work then from Castings
From April 2023 there was a new Managing director of castings, he used to work at CMH for ten years.
So wee bit of a link
Castings is now constrained by capacity, and has been forced to outsource some production to other foundries. However, it plans to invest £17mn in a new production line to satisfy demand for heavy truck parts, and to tap into new markets such as truck electrification
if they constrained maybe we can get some work from them too?
Would there be any synergy for Castings UK to take this over?
