All true H-hi. Incompetence and comtempt to unheard of levels. Suppose the best thing would be to close all unprofitable things that CLLN were involved in and sod anything or anyone caught up in it.
The no.1 question still is........why pay divi when cash profit was just a dream? How can you justify borrowing money just to overpay dumb, useless execs? Also I still think the government is the best customer as they can never run out of cash and you can easily overcharge them......ask G4S how! My answer is that the divi was used to prop up the sp, they borrowed money from shorters who have since made their money back by shorting the shares.
Your words FD. Still don't get your point - are you spoiling for a fight or something?
Iso.......so you are against a value for money system, introduced by Mr A Blair?.
IsolatedBod- its a combination of goverment negligence and arrogance, which has put so many livelihoods at stake. But when has a Tory party dine anything for the working class? I was reading an article on HL, and the goverments reason for not putting up the money was "this had not been indirectly caused by public sector contracts" That's total b×××××× the main three hospitals the CLLN took a hit are public contracts, other contracts were underpriced and to top it off, they failed to make payments on time. Yes the managment were clueless, but the goverment have been a major contributor to it. The goverment knew this all along which is why BlackRock pinched Osborne, and were so confident in increasing their shorts with his insider knowledge. There are others he will be aware of, and time will tell. Election tine should be interesting as they have probably lost 20000 votes. Anyway it's interesting how many of those thst didn't invest are still on this board still ranting.
Never said that. In fact I said this: "All you say is true about the past running of it, the divis given during meltdown, the length of withholding payment, and the general folik up of it all." Reckon BoD and management are the ones responsible yes, what is your point?
FD20 I'm trembling lol
lemail........or who ever you are, just as well you do not know who I am as your last sentence indicates a kind of sarcasm best tested in a Wolverhampton Pub tonight.
FD20 doesn't make me feel good it just goes a long way to explaining pi losses. Suggest you stick to a post-office-savings account in the future.
Cheers True....and if you did "lose" , hope you get it back quickly.
Iso.......so the BOD, Management, QS's etc within and attached to Carillion have No responsibility for the Company's demise?
Thank you all for the input. Wasnt meant to be. Jambon, Gillpat, Fairdealer, Cloudy, Taz Masil and the rest all the very best.
some rich people are vile in my experience....
i lost 4k after selling at 52p at the end of the summer, glad i did or it would of been 15k !!
lemail......thanks for the correction even though the OED does use the spelling as both a noun and an adjective. Pity comments like this are even necessary on a day like today, but if it makes you feel good so be it.
Gilpat, what is wrong with you. Your posts about Jambon are juvenile madman rantings coming from an insecure person . Reading your posts leads me to think that you are living in cloud cuckoo land. We all lose money on shares periodically. Its the game. Leave the man alone.
The commanding height argument (currently called 'too big to fail') stretches a long way with CLLN, H-hi. All you say is true about the past running of it, the divis given during meltdown, the length of withholding payment, and the general folik up of it all. I didn't set up the idea of contracting out, DLOs and whatever other money grabbing vehicles there are, but they are here. The system is garbage and whatever contracts go to CLLN competitors doesn't stop the problem of a cr@p system. These things have end clients - patients/prisoners/schoolchildren for example who are now left in the dwang. It will cost the taxpayer loads anyways - just watch who picks up the unprofitable parts of CLLN necessary business. Muggins taxpayer is who. They just didn't say when they were spouting GCSE Economics this weekend. So no, hate the system, hate the complete failure of contracting out to firms like CLLN on a political level. But at the same time hate government negligence even more.
quite a few lost money here as some don't seem to know how to spell lose ffs.
Good luck to you for the future !! I have a feeling by some peoples posts today they had money in here that they didnt own up to...
H-hi, not sure about that, I certainly would not and have never bleated about my successes, but no one here knows my credentials and that is how I keep it.
Jambon, we have had our differences and as I stated this morning I do admire both you and snige who have kept faith with their belief. I do not, did not want anyone to loose money and tried to show investors where to look. I hope some did and saved the grief of today. I take NO pleasure in seeing you or anyone losing hard earned cash and neither should anyone else.
Ltel, We need more than wishes............. Gotta play the lotto all week now
IsoBod, Can you justify loaning a fking useless company like Carillion when they used millions to pay unnecessary dividends and excessive executives pay. Why must fat cats be overpaid........they need to claw all the cash bonuses and divi from 5 years. Real workers deserve rescuing but not dumb fkers who think they are smart...........same guys ruining a company with great profile pay themselves millions in cash salary. We need companies whereby there is no fking executive.......just people working and getting paid per hour or by end result.
I am assuming I am talking to folks who, even if they lost, are aware of these bazaars and, whilst possibly being thoroughly p1zz3d off by it, have to 'man-up/woman-up' to it. Anyone noticed the real effects of this yet ? Contractors on the Tees an in N. ireland being told not to turn up for work, those on the private line with CLLN being guaranteed only 48 hrs dosh, no guarantee about services except from mealy mouthed sound-bites. This one is not bad luck Theresa - this one is bad judgement, it it was yours (and your hubby probably) who made it. Did he short it? Not a fan of government bail-outs but for heaven's sake - this has the potential for disaster.
