"The majority of Hollywood are poorly made, badly acted genre pieces."
M00la, Samuk and Bolox. In response to your comments about Hollywood. Hollywood has some exceptional actors with unparalleled acting ability, whereas Bollywood is all song and dance - you can hardly pull out one or two actors at most. There is no polite way of spelling this out... they are on the whole terrible.
Good afternoon @johnht just started your afternoon shift ?
Not too sure about you being Hollywood think your closer to being Dollywood
Good afternoon @Chartz - LOL. it's a super busy week - meetings back to back and doesn't look like getting any less. I'm looking forward to the day of rest on Saturday.
I'm definitely Hollywood. Do you think the majority of Hollywood movies are badly acted genre pieces?
Johnnybolox,
I think you need help, just because some things you post are not agreed
with doesn't mean that people are posting under different usernames.
This is BB is about Cine share price not an episode of Loose Women, give it a rest John!
Why feel the need to give a running commentary on your working week.
IMO, It absolutely stinks of being very small time!
Bolox/ Parsley - What are your thoughts, do you think the majority of Hollywood movies are badly acted genre pieces?
John, i was more upset about your racism but this was a topic put to bed yesterday. Stop dragging this bb down and let it go, i know you've had a bad day but geez.
M00la, thanks for the post and the comments.
This is a CINE BB. Hollywood will be the main bread and butter for CINE. Although I've made my position as a shorter clear, I am also a very big Hollywood and cinema fan.
The point raised by some is that the majority of Hollywood movies are badly acted genre pieces - I don't agree. For acting, Hollywood for a long time it has trumped Bollywood any day. The likes of Jack Nicholson, Elizabeth Taylor, Marlon Brando, Kenneth Branagh, Robert De Niro, Audrey Hepburn, Al Pacino, Dustin Hoffman... there is no real parallel.
The Hollywood movie industry will survive this pandemic with great acting to come in the New Year block busters and this is a big positive for CINE in 2021.
With regards to your other comment, I'm not sure what you are referring to.
johnht, think he’s referring to your short position
I’ve enjoyed a lot of the discussion with you but this bollywood thing is mad.
winniworld, I am not sure what the issues are, you may have to spell this out. All I know is that Hollywood movies are NOT badly acted genre pieces?
The main point raised is that in your previous comments you disparaged an entire countries film industry which is knownto be the largest film industry in the world.
I love Hollywood films to but just as I would defend British, French or Spanish Cinema I thought it was disgusting how you singled out and dismissed one of the big film industries outside of Hollywood. It shows a lack of knowledge about the industry and a lack of class culturally. Also the point your trying to hang your hat on, Hollywood is huge it includes all manner of B movies not just your Spielberg films as a whole more than 50% aka the majority of Hollywood films are sub par and they are made to fill a need so my comment about them being genre pieces is correct.
The thing you can't remember is your comment yesterday where you mocked Bollywood Cinema calling it just "singing and dancing" I just took offence to how disrespectful you were being, but like I said that was yesterday so lets leave it there shall we.
On the whole, the best movies in the world are by Hollywood - the acting is phenomenal. Bollywood might be the largest, it might be whatever you personally want and it's important not to let your personal views get in the way, but Hollywood movies are NOT badly acted genre pieces.
I gave a list of actors give me their equivalents in Bollywood? You can't give more than a handful, because there are very few that match the quality.
Bollywood is not my Cinema preference of choice but I'm educated enough to know what I'm talking about having studied film and having worked in the industry. If you can't see how your remarks are offensive then thats your problem.
@M00la and everyone, just in my opinion, you should not even bother to reply a racist, small time punk who's miserable life has nothing else to do except coming here trying to polarize the issue of choosing between 2 distinguished film industries who've their own reputation and accomplishments without any need of comparison. Please do not give any value by replying to sh#& like @johnhoot as they'll remain what they're - a piece of sh#& spreading hatred!
Johhnybolox,
Just there in your last post read it back to yourself.
You can't let it go if someone disagrees with you, that is why you come accross
as a knob. Same as investorbolox, wait you can't be can you?
Samuk think you’ve lost the plot mate
I say it again - if you disagree then fine... Bollywood is "singing and dancing" with no real acting substance.
johnht, time you let this one go
Bolox, Samuk and M00la - If you feel the majority of Hollywood movies are badly acted genre pieces, then you shouldn't be invested in CINE. It's the wrong stock for you. The three of you need to take it easy and not get worked up.
You’re sounding a bit like covid fart guy lol. Flogging a dead horse, let’s move on
Johnnybolox,
Let it go, by the way if one doesn't like flying do you think one
shouldn't be invested in aviation?
Muppet.
winnie - the covid fart guy sounds squeeky.
Bolox, if the pilot can't fly planes, then definitely I wouldn't invest in that particular aviation company.
Johnnybolox,
You really, really have mental issues, read your last post.
You're just a tool, I have a love for all Cinema from many different countries America included.
You should try watching something outside of your comfort zone, it might open your mind. I can recommend some fantastic films from outside the Hollywood system if you like that many of your favourite film makers would have taken inspiration from.
