It was everywhere.. not my fault that disney skipped cinemas and made it widely available for free
Done him up like a kipper there.
Shorterguy.. you didnt pay for mulan though you were asking for a place to watch it free (which was any site the illegally shares films)
Lmao
Shorterguy in a nutshell
"The answer is yes. It's comfy, no distractions, greater selection of snacks, cheap, pure entertainment. It's not necessary to pay the opening premium, and just wait."
Also shorterguy
"I dont watch films i get bored and fast forward to the interesting bits on my 10 year old apple monitor.. well the bottom 2 inches of the screen.. films bore me and cinema is dead because i can do it all in the comfort of my mums basement"
Your*
Shorter, by your own admission you do not watch films, so you're opinions on this are irrelevant
It's like when poor people argue "Why pay to go to a restaurant when you can eat at home?" Sure, they might be satisfied warming up some Iceland slop in a microwave, and good for them, but other people are more than willing to pay a premium to eat in a decent restaurant.
Shorter guy would because he has no friends to go cinema with. He can’t take a date to the cinema cus no girls would go with him. He probably still a virgin! Shorterguy and insi life revolves around minimum paid work and this bb boards!
True@Prayfor. I agree
Netflix is worth £11.99 to me and mine
Amazon Prime is worth £7.99 to me and mine.
That's all your worth guys. A quid here and a quid there to cover inflation is acceptable, No more!
This has been argued to death.
All you need to do is ask yourself, would you regularly pay £20 on top of monthly fees to watch a film in your living room?
I'm really bored of the people on this bb who (with little or no knowledge) continuously profess the death knell of cinema.
Yes, it's been around for a hundred years, and yes streaming is its modern, instant, digital competitor. Agreed. However last time i looked there weren't many industries that had a monopoly.
Cinema appeals specifically to a certain audience who want to experience a certain type of movie (usually a big budget production) in all its Dolby Atmos 4k, glory. IMO watching a good movie at the cinema is a fantastical, social, experience for a couple of hours of wonderous escapism. For kids, treble what i have just said, it's magical, like TV at home can never replicate. Of course, you can also enjoy streaming at home if you don't want to go to the cinema, that's the beauty of life in a democracy. You get to choose. I do both.
I love Mooky's analogy of dinner time. Some of us can cook, or have partners who can cook delicious foods, using fantastic ingredients at home, but it's also nice to relax and go out to a restaurant for a treat every now and again. Ergo Cinema, it's unlikely you'd go every day, or even every week, but once a fortnight or once a month is doable, and that's all cinema needs. Hence why Cinema and streaming will live together for the forseeable future.
