Crumpets spot on.
Hi Fun!
Totally agree with you.
Although I'd love to see us hold 10-20p higher, I think it's actually very reasonable to be at £1 at the moment.
Still heavily in debt.
Plex deal to be resolved.
No certainty on consumer confidence.
All the signs are that we will will recover big time.
But we (and the market) are wanting to see the proof of the pudding.
And as you say, that'll take a few months.
And when that happens, every man and his dog will be buying in.
Anyone here is sitting on a bargain bomb.
Patience, men. You've waited this long.
What's a few more weeks eh!??
Robin, I think while "news" is encouraging and timescales we are still a heavily indebted business with almost none of our business open.
The small percentage that is has only just opened and with restrictions and had one major film so far.
Let's see where we are 6 weeks/2 months from now.
Most business open trading, few big films been out and less restrictions than currently with more people vaccinated in USA and UK.
Think I was using inaccurate figure for adult (over18 ) population.
Not as easy to find as I would have thought, but instead of 210m I had seen, think it's more like 240m.
Either way USA are going very well on the vaccination front.
Guys. Tell me something. Do we not agree that the SP is not in correlation with the news that's posted???? Surely we should be at 140p.
Ofcourse we may look back and regret not loading up more at 98/100p. Its a bit like the 35p days in a way.
Hey funonvestor I saw the numbers from the following link
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.wsj.com/amp/livecoverage/covid-2021-04-19&ved=2ahUKEwjI1rezhIvwAhUDWhUIHbkrCVoQ0PADegQIDBAB&usg=AOvVaw10iThPwIZNlDIXL97L0n8D&cf=1
It might not be accurate though
Thanks for the response LatP, yeah that is my reading of the situation, I don't see much happening for a few weeks. I saw a current list of film release dates for this year and it is seriously full-on, I think there will be delays and re-jigs of the order but nonetheless it is pretty much 18 months worth quality films, exciting times ahead as an investor and film-buff,
regards
Bonkers, As I understand it they are now over 62% adults with at least one vaccination (not the 50% you note).
*I may have this detail wrong.
onesharewonder,
Anything can happen and imho BOA are definitely trying to accumulate stock but there is not much out there being freed up and I personally can't see Jangho letting it slip much lower. I did myself top up this afternoon.
All ahead of vaccine backed reopening for CINE, with good opening attendances for Godzilla v Kong, and a superlative slate of movies that will bring many pound notes and dollars rolling in the CINE tills that have simply not been there for the bulk of a whole year.
By end of May, and incemental big steps starting again this Friday CINE will have gone from nil cinemas open to 90%.
A penny here or there won't make a blind bit of difference come the money that will have flowed through the tills by the end of July. Sooner or later it has to happen.
That's a significant milestone in my view, May 7th sees the opening of 180+ sites across the US. I am more concerned with US news regarding this share rather than domestic news, anyone see a breakout from this range in the next week?
regards
And over 50% off all adults had at least 1 jab , excellent news
Opening US sites and quickly reducing restrictions gets easier by the day :-)
215m vaccines now with c. 40% of adult population not only vaccinated, but fully vaccinated :-)
Oo this should be good news. Let's hope there's a strong demand
One of the next batch of 54 opening on Friday
