I’ve watched and traded centamin for 9years now Mr T - stop being so incorrectly patronising
At the moment the only thing ,apart from bad news, that affects the SP is the price of Gold.
You are of course entitled to your opinion, but they are mainly just the market daily ups and downs which traders dance one way or the other to and which Centamin has always had to contend with,.
But had you been invested in Centamin for longer then you may realise that there are other factors which as they became apparent should influence and invigorate the share price to a far greater extent.
Hi Xxxx,
Thanks for your email.
It seems that the journalist applied a Centamin headline to Central Asia Metals content, so I am not surprised you were worried by the apparent move to Kazakhstan. We have got the link etc corrected now.
I really appreciate your bringing it to my attention.

Irrelevant - economic data and RNS the only things that matter
Hi Razors,
Thank you for posting the info, you have always been one of the most decent and supportive member on this forum, especially during the past few frustrating to say the least years, thank you for that and lets hope that this time the good times will at last be very good times!for everyone , they certainly deserve some reward for being so patient!
Best

Hi Somnamma,
I 'm sure we all appreciate Dansul's taking the trouble to post something to try and offer some hope of to cheer everyone up by giving us some hope.
But that said I as a long term holder I agree entirely with your sentiments regarding the promises of good times coming some time down the road, how many times have the analysts foretold this, but as we have all been made aware by some of are more knowledgable former mining professionals even when the analysts do visit the mining operations they cant really see much and even if they do see more, it might be piles of uncleared waste or that the inclination of the pit walls are too steep they fail to understand the relevance of what they are looking at.
As to Doropo, their predictions are assuming that the grades which I am led to believe aren't anything special don't turn bad , there aren't any unforeseen natural disasters, civil unrest military coup or even some other fundamentalist factions taking control of the area!
The only analyst who has called it right since 2016 is Kees Dekker, but unfortunately I chose to believe Andrew Pardey and the company take on things thinking that they where acting in the best interests of shareholders and not just covering their own ar*es!
This is why market confidence is shot to pieces and no amount of slick presentations will restore it, that will take far more by way of improved and sustained guidance and actual proof that the huge increase in CAPEX to cover the waste clearance has abated to normal levels.
So they may give share holders a bit more divi, so they ought considering how much they have reduced it in past years!
So lets hope that things are going to change for the better and much sooner rather than later!
Higher-than-expected Kazakhstani withholding tax payments’.?
I think I could live with the share price over £3 and a dividend of 18.5p ------------------Lets hurry up and get there!

Baha Breaking News (BBN) / AC
Peel Hunt is expecting gold miner Centamin (CEY) to use its cash to increase payouts to shareholders or embark on further M&A.
Analyst Peter Mallin-Jones retained his ‘buy’ recommendation and reduced the target price from 325p to 310p on the stock, which eased 1.4% to 86.4p on Monday.
Mallin-Jones left 2023 estimates ‘broadly unchanged’ after first-half results as ‘lower costs roughly offset lower revenues’, although he trimmed dividend per share estimates to 18.5p, ‘holding it at 50% of our revised free cashflow, reduced on the higher-than-expected Kazakhstani withholding tax payments’.
‘We allow for a steadier transition to cut and fill mining [when the opened mine is back-filled with waste materials as each layer of ore is removed] through 2024/25,’ he said. ‘Allowing a slower conversion over to cut and fill means that despite lower-than-expected cash costs our target price falls 15p to 310p on lower 2024 Ebitda. [earnings before interest, tax, debt and amortisation.]’
Mallin-Jones is expecting ‘cash to build from the second half’ that will support ‘either increased payouts or M&A activity from the team over time’.

DJ Centamin's Share Price Seen as Undervalued -- Market Talk
1352 GMT - Centamin will see a steep rise in Ebitda over the next few years, which the current share valuation seem to overlook, Peel Hunt analysts write in a research note. "The shares do not seem to give credit for rising output at Sukari [gold mine] or the longer-term growth at Doropo [gold mine]," the analysts say. The Ivorian Doropo mine will drive the gold mining company to $500 million in Ebitda per year on better gold pricing, grid power benefits and better grades from 2025, they say. "Fast forwarding to 2027 and a productive Doropo could see a share price of over 180 pence, even before benefiting from any further exploration successes." Peel Hunt maintains a buy rating on the stock, while lowering its price target to 125 pence from 135 pence. (christian.moess@wsj.com)

CAIRO (Reuters) -Egypt will hold a presidential vote on Dec. 10-12, the elections authority said on Monday, with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi widely expected to win reelection despite an economic crisis including record inflation and foreign currency shortages.
Sisi, 68, can stand for a third term due to constitutional amendments in 2019 that also extended the length of presidential terms to six years from four, opening the way for him to stay in office until at least 2030.
Sisi was declared winner of both the 2014 and 2018 elections with 97% of the vote. In 2018 he faced just one opponent, himself an ardent Sisi supporter, after the main challenger was arrested and other hopefuls pulled out, citing intimidation.
Election results are expected to be announced on Dec. 23 and, in the event of a run off round, final results should be announced on Jan. 16 at the latest, the election authority said.

dictator playbook rule # 634 ; secure power before the economic crap hits the fan
Sounds like the Hedge funds dont realise ,that they are helping kill US4$ in the future as more countries get away from dollars and US Gov bonds.
In just the last few years the world has changed , and got away from the dollar and its Hedgmemon,.
More will try
USA hedge funds and other entities have shorted the yen at highest ever levels. They are trying to force Japan Central bank to hike rates. Japan is against doing it as inflation is 3.2% and the highest it rose to was just 4.3% a few months back and is falling back again. Japan Central bank has said the aggressive action by USA hedge funds would be responded to as they see it as an attempt to crush their currency and undermining their policies in managing price stability in Japan. The likely response is the sell off of billions of USA Treasuries and heavy selling of USD. The latest on Bloomberg is that USA investment sources are taking on JCB and will continue to force devaluation of the yen and they intend to exploit Japan's requirement to import oil by taking out more long bets on oil.
I presume the purpose is to weaponize the strength of USD by weakening all other currencies where they can. The pound has been dumped for not continuing with interest rates rises despite having been net purchasers of USA Treasuries. The Japanese and also Saudi Arabia public have been heavily buying physical gold.
We should know soon when yen breaks higher above 150.
Shame the SP has plunged too!

Historically, those who controlled the salt controlled the power!
The world's monopolies may have changed, but salt remains vital to our existence. Beyond the dinner table, it sits at the heart of the chemicals industry and lifesaving sanitation.
'Material World: A Substantial Story of Our Past and Our Future', written by Ed Conway, explores which materials we have relied upon to build civilisations and how we will use them to forge our future.

Thank you Mr Bond,
Just a "Number cruncher", albeit a very senior and highly paid one ,who although holding the company purse strings may have never visited Sukari and who may know, or have very limited knowledge and understanding of mining methods representing Centamin at specialist mining conference?
Divi payout a week today.
Is a senior Accountant, no more.
Has he ever been to Sukari,, possibly never.
He does not need to . His team receive figures and process , boring you may think .
Yes indeed as I found out many ,many years ago.
But then I was from a family of miners, which I went back to .
But that accountancy served very well, but in control of more than figures.
Enjoy your weekend , Hi de Hi.
