Many thanks Debbie. Assume sp fall entirely due to her changeof role.
Agreed MattTheBrave. This appears to be a quiet board but this is a reassuringly expensive stock which continues to hike it's dividend by a good amount and pay regularly. No reason to sell at all. Maybe it's a 'boring' stock in some eyes? I don't know. But a 20% hike in the divi is well worth sticking around for!
Earnings up 25% - Growth now starting to be driven by Troponin whilst Vit D continues to hold up well. New research continues to looks exciting as well, particularly in the Alzheimer's space! Continue to be a happy holder here!
With the huge spreads it's difficult to tell what's going to day to day but the large volume, yesterday caught my eye. Half of it was down to directors selling. Mainly excising options then selling them, but Peter Harrison also sold a chunk. He still holds over 6% of the issued capital so I don't think he's abandoning ship.
To-day Big fall
Today and a big rise.
thanks Richard

If you have a look on page 11 of the above report from 2021 it tells you a bit more context. Essentially they have made/are making testing kits for pyrene for industrial workers and a cannabis test using a saliva sample presumably for law enforcement/medical use perhaps.
Does anyone know from the future outlook part of the results what this refers to:
We have successfully created “sandwich” assay formats for pyrene and THC/cannabis
using a combination of primary SMA technology and a secondary synthetic “anti-complex” antibody created using
the “antibody library” technology of a third party.
It looks interesting but is beyond my scientific understanding and therefore i cant put a potential value to it
You can always get their results on the Londonstockexchange.com site
For some reason Bioventix doesn’t seem to get it’s results published on here early doors, but they are on their website for anyone whose interested. Another good set with a special divi. This continues to be a nice under the radar play, a well run business, excellent cash flow and recession proof.
Interesting that the update appeared on their website but not as an RNS. You would have thought they would have to copy it here too? I love a good Buffet quote Hardboy, I offer you another I think is relevant here:
"If the Business Does Well, the Stock Eventually Follows"
Hopefully, sooner than later. This is surely a recession proof play that pays a good dividend, lots of earnings in US dollars and ripe for further attention from former growth stock/jam tomorrow investors.
It is crazy that it is trading lower than it was 2 weeks ago when they have issued a trading statement saying profits will be significantly ahead of market expectations.
I suppose we should all do a Buffett and be brave when others are fearful; but every time I've done that of late markets get even more fearful
The other Buffett quote of relevance is Markets can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent!
I looked back at previous updates. The last one, as mentioned above, was 2017 ! In it, they said, "revenues for the financial year ended 30 June 2017 are expected to be marginally in excess of £7M (2015/16: £5.5M). Since the cost-base of the Company continues to follow a similar shallow trajectory as in previous years, both revenues and profits before tax are expected to be ahead of market expectations for the year ended 30 June 2017" So, they actually gave a figure for turnover there! Looking at my notes, forecasts in 2017 were saying revenues of 6.3m. After the update, forecasts were showing 7.06m. The actual came in at 7.25m. So that looks like a bit over 10% to me, and they only said 'ahead' (i.e. no mention of 'materially' or 'significantly'). In August 2016 they also gave a revenue number - "in excess of 5.3m", and once again simply said profits would be "ahead". Forecasts had been saying £4.8m. So, again it looks like they were about 10% ahead, and, in the end, turnover was £5.5m. In both those years, though, the high margins meant that EPS was 30-40% above forecasts. This year, they did use the word 'significantly', so we should surely expect at least 10%, if not more! So, I'm going to take a punt on 11.4m turnover, eps 150p, dividend 150p
Thank you - good luck.

You are going to hit me over the head with DYOR but I can not seem to find anything (obvious) inc no RNS media release on lse etc to indicate why this mornings rise and why your thread starts with "boom".
Can you help me out - small holder.
4000 in sight surely

No movement today and back to normal minimal volume. It seems to have been range bound for ages (admittedly some way above 1700, Goolang) Still a couple of months to the finals, so it'll probably drift along in the same range till then.
and your point is?
I remember when this was at 1700p
Big volume of shares traded today. As it went up, let's hope there's a significant buyer out there.
Agree, only matter of time before a takeover.
