Yes ur bloody right BT does not like 135P
Well, BT doesn't appear to like 135p Avro. I'm going to buy again very soon. I'll be patient and wait for the 3rd re-test.
"But what if the general market carries on to fall I would then expect for BT to fall as well.
All I am saying is that I am not convinced that the market has stopped falling."
I agree, i too think the market has further to fall, but my point was that BT might be reaching a level where certain interested parties may be mopping up the shares and holding the price. Time will tell. I'm still sitting on the sidelines and waiting.
Fleccy,
I was making a different point. I can not remember the market being as volatile as it currently is. Today the market had been sharply only to fall a few hours later. I totally agree that if the general market has now reached its bottom then it is unlikely that BT will fall further. But what if the general market carries on to fall I would then expect for BT to fall as well.
All I am saying is that I am not convinced that the market has stopped falling.
""Lets see how this 135p support holds up over the coming weeks."
Are you sure you meant "coming weeks" or did you really mean to say coming HOURS !!!!"
Avro the current correction is likely to highlight the bottom for BT, as it is already a depressed share and as this is likely to play out over months, "coming weeks" is probably a correct assessment. Since BT climbed from around 135p when the rest declined, it could well be that 135p is the bottom for BT.

Faultsman,
"There are some remarkably uncouth and self serving people on this forum, people are suffering and dying as you type out your hatred for BT and laugh at the failure of the market."
That is a very unkind comment to make. Where is your evidence?
These are very worrying times and the market is understandably being nervous.
Longtimeinvestor,
Good luck and hopefully this time you are proven right.
136.5p is looking like a good price at the moment. Lets see how this 135p support holds up over the coming weeks.

“People suffer and die 24/7 (its quite natural)”
Is it really?
I never knew death was natural:)

Did you know that more US service men died of Spanish Flue in 1918 than was lost during the war, 50 Million dead worldwide, not that long ago, do you think they was all wrapped up in how much the markets was down at the time and gobbing off about told you so and invest in this and invest in that bla bla bla.

As someone on here pointed out- history has a habit of repeating itself.
The ftse fell from over 6500 in 2000 to around 3500 in 2003.
It repeated that in 2007 when it fell from over 6500 to around 3500 in 2009.
What makes people think that in a market artificially buoyed up by cheap money it won’t happen again?
I am not buying anything at this moment. I am holding on to my cash and I wil only l start to buy once the market settles. Whenever I have tried try to buy at the bottom it has always gone lower. Just last week you bought at 148 which at the time seemed a huge bargain. Its never good to buy when the market is still falling.
Nice one, i think you're a winner even if the price drops from here. I never imagined BT dropping to this level again, so in my opinion you've bagged a bargain.
