Long says - If you have lived legally, meeting the conditions to stay in another EU country, for a continuous period of 5 years you automatically acquire the right of permanent residence there. This means that you can stay in the country as long as you want
Exactly right, if you visited a country on a visa, meet their conditions, get a job, maybe married, extend the visa then after an extended visit apply to stay and make it your home..... your point is?
My friends just done same thing in Australia
So are you so confused you don’t think any foreigners should be allowed to stay? You’re still making fool out of yourself
Aus
'' your point is?''
For about the 10th time. An EU citizen does not have to leave after 3 months
Long says - “ Aus
''Most importantly, the right to live in the UK without any conditions''
Who ever said without conditions?
I said that an EU citizen does not have to leave the UK after 3 months.
Is this now clear to you?”
I didn’t say EU citizens can’t stay for extended periods, actually I’m saying the opposite that the U.K. government doesn’t apply conditions to stay, but they could. If they wanted to
Of course people who have made their lives in the U.K. should be allowed to stay. What do you want to do.... put them in concentration camps?
Aus
Visas are not required within EU countries.
Aus
''I didn’t say EU citizens can’t stay for extended periods''
You likened entry into the UK like a 3 month visa.
I said that an EU citizen does not have to leave after 3 months
Long says -
Aus
Visas are not required within EU countries.“
I know that, I said freedom of movement is like a visa granted for 3 months without condition to all EU citizens as a right.
After 3 months the right to return or stay no longer applies (like a visa)
After 3 months can only stay if conditions are met, if not met they can be sent home
The reason this didn’t happen is U.K. government sets no conditions, but they could. Germany does, if you entered 3 months ago & didn’t have a job or 3 months money, you can be deported.
This is not difficult to understand is if ?
An entry into a country via a Visa has a time limit
Aus
Once again as nothing seems to sink in with you.
I have not mentioned staying without conditions.
EU citizens do not have to leave after 3 months.
Long - you say “ An entry into a country via a Visa has a time limit”
A visa has conditions some times time some times other things like a qualification, which means visas can be extended
Freedom of movement is limited to 3 months. After which conditions apply. If you don’t meet those conditions you can be forced to leave
Nearly every EU country sets conditions, the U.K. chooses not to
Aus
''which means visas can be extended''
which means that there was a time limit
Aus
''Freedom of movement is limited to 3 months. After which conditions apply.''
Yet again, I have never mentioned without conditions.
EU citizens do not have to leave after 3 months.
You really are dumb. Freedom of movement only applies for 3 months. The U.K. chooses to extend this indefinitely but other EU countries do not. They apply conditions which if not met the time limit runs out resulting in citizen being deported
Ergo it’s not freedom of movement or EU citizens it is the U.K. government choosing to extend their stay indefinitely. In plain language freedom of movement under EU law is limited to 3 months by right, the U.K. government chooses to extend this period, in effect offering indefinite visa’s without conditions other than criminalit’s.
Aus
''Freedom of movement only applies for 3 months. The U.K. chooses to extend this indefinitely but other EU countries do not. They apply conditions which if not met ''
Once again. I have never mentioned without conditions.
EU citizens have not had to leave the UK after 3 months.
Aus
It really has been simple to understand
An EU citizen has had the right to enter the UK without a visa. Provided they have not done anything that would result in their removal from the UK, then they have been able to stay for as long as they liked.
No wait look a No Time Limit Application / visa
a No Time Limit (NTL) stamp in your passport (expired or otherwise), stating ‘There is at present no time limit on the holder’s stay in the United Kingdom
Look kind of similar to what the U.K. government offers to EU citizens even though they don’t need to...... it’s a visa but no time limit
As
So, EU citizens have not had to leave the UK after a period of time
The lies about EU citizens have got to be repudiated. The Brits abroad are a real drain on the country they now live in as they are mostly elderly.Contrast that with the largely young people who come here and pay taxes and are no drain on the NHS. Brexit is built on lies.
Could do with a few more people with both their eyes and minds open!
Surely property in London is owned by Russians who were our so called enemy during the phony cold war that made arms dealers rich. The Londoners who lost their jobs should blame the people who use zero hour contracts etc and end up with knighthoods for exploiting workers.
Village idiot nonsense
If Londoners lost their jobs to cheap labour (which never happened) how did land lords charge so much rent to so obviously badly paid pretend people?
Obviously all those Londoners loosing their jobs would result in massive Londoner unemployment......... never happened
I’d call that ignorant bigotry. More lies from the real enemies of our state.
Very happy you pretend to experience those emotions about me village / troll
I’m happy to say that tells me I’m doing something right
Well village / troll, that would be the 101 / jack and gill attempt at an explanation
Do you have anything interesting to say? Something a below average 4 year old couldn’t work out for themselves
Have you ever understood anything village? Ever?
I’ll leave you to your bitterness & immigration fantasies.
Did he really say that and if so what's the punch line? And whatever happened to Russ Abbot anyway? Was he put in the madhouse?
Blimey Diane was right about one thing then. Maybe she could have refined it a bit, to embittered bigots.
I guess as a sound bite her words work, the decent ones know exactly what she means
More gammon anyone?
