More haste
Less speed.
Sorry Rp11ace.
I posted my musings in the middle of your quoted post.
Clumsy, oafish, amateur that I am.
Titan I live in the Bahamas, my wife and kids are Bahamian. I completely agree with your points regarding the condescending way in which the arguments are put across by some.
The fact is that we need this oil success and everyone needs to know what the extent of the potential oil find is and exactly what the deal is for the entire area. This along with a solid financial projection of the revenue generated for the Bahamas should allow everyone to make an educated decision.
It would be a terrible shame for this drill to be disturbed after over 100 mil spent and then the Bahamas still don’t know if oil is present and in what quantity.
onlybpc
I’ve a watchlist of around 50 shares with holdings in just under half of them. I keep shares on the watchlist whether I’m in them or not. Once you’ve put the work in, it’s worth keeping in touch with them because you never know when they’ll throw up an opportunity. Not sure what more there is to say about BPC right now though, not until there is some new information anyway.
Rp11ace:
Not saying it’ll be good or bad just that if the government refuse it now they will have potentially lost the ability to utilise their natural resources for good.
Or....license to explore for oil expires for BPC.
Big oil steps in drills dozens of exploration wells, deeper pockets so can afford to be a bit more hit and miss than BPC could. Higher risk of oil spill. No of wells x probability of spill.
They find oil.
Yay.
BPC step back in and wave the "exploitation licence 30 year term" contract.
Nobody else will even look for oil whilst BPC hold the exploitation rights.
After watching a company spend 110 million to get this far and get refused now what other company would then ever pursue it again.
At the end there it should have been 'we ga drill fer erl' but good try. A for effort ShareScare!
Ricardo, You ain’t care Is time ta carry ya hip, carry ya boongie, yinna peeple who tink eryone dum in da Bahamas wid ya self intress. We is drill for earl.
get ya some BPC
Nice one C&Cs.
Good luck to you and everyone invested.
You are free to ignore my advice, but I am here in the ground and I am telling you how it is. Whether you think it is justified or not.
ShareScare I am not the CEO of a hotel.
Cars coffee, I hear you. Just saying the tone comes across as condescending and is not well received. Colonialism and all. Best not to be telling poor people how you are coming from across the sea to save them.
Meant to be 20 years in the first message
The last government loan was 600 million at 10%. You are saying that the billions from oil revenue are not needed?
Titan the $5 billion is only the start. That is the income form the initial find. Potentially is is 5 or more times that.
Let’s use the $25 billion number over 2 years. That would get rid of the national debt and create a substantial sovereign wealth fund for the future generations.
The fact is that drilling is very safe and drilling is going on by Cuba only a few miles from the proposed drill site.
The risk is already in the area. The Bahamas is just got the risk without any benefit. Why not find out if the resources are there and do the maths then make a decision.
Titan last time I looked Potter was a middle aged white man, so yes I am denying being Potter.
You skipped my questions
Are you denying being Potter?
Stepup, it is much worse than that, by the end of 2021 the national debt will be at 100% GDP, that comes on top of the damage caused by hurricanes and Covid.
A find even at half the possible projected size would wipe out the Bahamas national debt and create wealth.
Wealthy people do not like the poor becoming wealthy, I present history as my evidence.
So Ricardo Johnson, you are expressly denying being the CEO of a Bahamian resort ? And a good friend of the QC ?
And what have you guessed my nationality to be ?
" the rest of the outside interests looking to make a quick buck by striking oil in The Bahamas."
Thats a laugh Titan, I have been invested here for more than ten years, longer I suspect than a number of the NIMBYS have owned second or third homes in the Bahamas.
A few days someone on this board asked y if you were invested in BPC, did you give an answer?
if your out and made your 5er....go pick on the TRIN board.....im sure they will love your sense of humour.
irene found a new love somewhere why cant you go ahead and do the same....slated cerpie since i noticed you ...you dont care for bpc either, just bolt lad.
bye and gl
not a day trader in the slightest just an idiot P.I
Haha ShareScare, if I am the CEO of a resort, you are Simon Potter!
Rp11ace, the word soup makes no sense at all. He has taken figures from BPC that quoted the revenue from the single field where the exploration drill is taking place. And that was the figure given for a find at the lower end of the expected field size.
There is a world of difference between 770mb Vs a potential 28bb.
Titanatlas is the CEO of a resort and a friend of the QC his letter one of self interest and nothing more. If the upside of 28bb were to come to fruition the Bahamas would lose its tag as a 3rd world country. The wealth would be above and beyond $5 billion by a long shot.
My advice to Titan is to BUY and HOLD for a successful drill.
Did a bit of reading and maths.
Bahamas:
- unemployment rates circa 14% pre Covid figures
- Tourism circa 60% of GDP pre Covid figures
It is safe to assume that Tourism has dropped by 80% and although after the worst of the Pandemic is over the Tourist industry will take a long while to recover.
My estimate is that unimployment rate is currently at least double from its usual 14% .
Now how will these foreign activists manage to persuade the locals to support them .
Nations need to be fed first ! That is the reason there is no income tax in that country, and that is the reason why the Government will not allow its investments Haven image to be marred
Not saying it’ll be good or bad just that if the government refuse it now they will have potentially lost the ability to utilise their natural resources for good.
After watching a company spend 110 million to get this far and get refused now what other company would then ever pursue it again.
ill advised
