Very quiet board. This company was growing into covid and will grow afterwards. Great BOD. Cash in hand and definitely one of the post covid stocks that will recover well.
I made a small top up this morning to bring my average down.
Would be great to hear some more opinions on this stock as it has to be one of the quietest boards on LSE!
Put on your brown trousers, take a deep breath and clench those buttocks...it’s squeaky bum time!!!
Cineworld had no supply. No films = nothing to sell. Hollywood bowl potentially has one less competitor for the next 5 months on where people spend their expendable income. Price is already very low for a business that is up and running again. Bowling is usually done in groups 2 to 6 anyway so personally feel they can trade through covid at reduced income but still perform. Great company with growth plans pre covid that will continue afterwards.
Twiddling thumbs. Awaiting some news from the full year report. Where do people think this is going?
Cineworld closures are a worry for the industry as a whole.
Yep, nice to see, averaged down on these Monday, had to at these valuations
Long way to go :))
Temporary volatility due to initial panic I think. People not thinking about the fundamentals or medium - long term holds
So to be clear...the new restrictions do not mean closure for social venues. Groups of up to six can visit as long as they don’t mix with other groups. We knew extra restrictions would be brought in after schools reopened so this is good news.
Think their normal year end update is early October. Probably too soon to provide an update given they’ve only been open a couple of weeks I think
Some / any news from management would be lovely
We have lift off finally
News must be due soon :))
This is the one thing I hate about small companies is the wild swings either direction... I’m more of a boring slowly up kinda guy... but hey atleast it’s in the right direction :p
Looks like we could break out shortly;))
The only thing we can do on this board is wait..
We all know that it isn’t going to be pretty when we see the financials and the debt we will have accrued - maybe that extra 2 weeks cost us some money mr Johnson...
Then we can move on from there.. most importantly is how we get moving from there.. we were a little shining star pre covid trading at v high earnings multiples.. I didn’t buy till after Covid but I’d always wanted to.. there is no point arguing at all on message boards. I read the MTRO board because it is hilairious !
So all we can do is sit and wait and then see what happens.
Louie
carnage on ODX today. The BB has been invaded by about 20 investors from a 'competing' BB if you can believe such a thing exists. Shall we rouse the BOWL massive to launch a schoolboy attack on Cineworld?!!
Feels like no news is good news on here until we getting a trading update. GLA
Until next update then should see some upward movement hopefully:))
I would hardly call it dropping heavily...yet!!!
Isn’t it just trading within its current range?
Any reason we're dropping so heavily this morning? Haven't seen an RNS, am I missing some news?
@kahuna
Thanks. And yeah you should see the cineworld board, it's not far off the comments section of a political video on Facebook over there. Shorters and derampers stoking the fire then lots of knee-jerk snap-backs from others. There are thankfully some seemingly logical and experienced investors over there which keep me sane!
Hopefully see a strong uplift from here :)))
Hey Louie
sorry, other shares Boards I follow are toxic. This Board is very quiet, full of what I assume are experienced and patient investors waiting and hoping for a strong recovery or cutting their losses and leaving.
I really don't understand much of the activity on ODX and MARS. If you believe all those accused of ramping are in fact buying, good luck to them. However if all the negative comments do come from actual investors, I don't know why they don't simply sell up?
Both extremes can be repetitive and occasionally rude but vaguely entertaining In reality don't make any difference. There is however plenty of informed and helpful comments. I'm going to hold all 3 shares for quite a while so only watch the Boards for fun.
Apologies for a long response, just getting it off my chest GLA.
@kahuna
What other boards? Do you mean bowl boards on other sites or boards for differnt stocks on this site?
Good to hear. Can't wait to shift some money back onto this stock. I recently moved a lot over to Cineworld as I think that's gonna have more meteoric growth sooner, but think BOWL is a solid option for sustained gradual growth.
Hoping the SP doesn't jump too much over the next few weeks so I can keep my average low.
