Took another swing at Audioboom #BOOM today. Again felt like manipulation with relatively small sales pressing price this morn & a certain MM trying to hold down. They are going to get caught again. Offer dried completely towards the close and we couldnt even buy 5k at the price

Rifkin, Bear and Poe. All accurate sentiments and observations. Thank god the board has you.
Absurd that anyone could criticise Michael Tobin for buying shares. He’s invested £1.4m in the open market in purchases. He’s a super star and an excellent Chairman who’s supporting the management. I don’t believe the company are paying Stuart Last and Brad Clarke a fortune. I’d say their salaries are under market level from what I remember. They are salaried and to expect them to buy is mealy mouthed.
Full ask
Is that MT buying another 10,000 shares?
You mean we shouldnt hang on every post from legendary Monaco trader Z and his boastful excitement of a wee £3.5k profit at £3.20? Didnt he say he was sitting on a loss due to a high average a few months back?
Makes me laugh
When he’s not buying it’s spun as a negative because theres not enough director/management buys
When he’s buying it’s spun as negative because he's not buying enough lol
3000 more shares out of MMs hands
M&A in UK is heating up. Directors can buy up to the point they are made inside.
Stuart Last “M&A in next 12 months” explains why MT is buying like a dog on heat. If MT bought in larger size he would be paying well over the spread. You should check buy quotes before criticising his buys.
AudioBoom is in a unique position in terms of advertising and podcasts, with tight economic conditions one would have more advertising and promotions and Boom will prosper. The Shares are a bargain at this price and with MT buying them could be a signal of a management buy out? or even a takeover where there is synergy. Great opportunity to fill up in my view especially with an attractive order book/contracts for next quarter in bag. IMO and DYOR
Makes me laugh
When he’s not buying it’s spun as a positive because it means a bid is coming
When he’s buying it’s spun as positive because he sees value lol
Brilliant post Rifkin 👏
As promised, details of every share purchase by Michael Tobin, including pre the consolidation.
(OMG MT... Just done this report and he's bought again. Todays purchase 01/05/24 not included)
MT has made 92 share purchases in BOOM since the 1 for 100 consolidation in June '19. He has bought 326,667 shares at an average price of £3.94. Cost £1.287mln.
Pre consolidation he made 9 purchases. He bought 5,908,228, paying £77,190 at an average of 1.31p. Converting to post 1 for 100 he therefore bought 59,082 for £77.2k.
He has never sold and has now made 101 separate purchases of BOOM shares. He has also received various warrants/options over the years, these too have not been sold.
Adding pre/post together he's paid £1,364,391 for 385,749 shares. His current average purchase price is now £3.53. So he has actually forked out 1.364 million pounds in buys of Audioboom stock. I see people on here asking for more meaningful purchases. 101 buys (no sells) for £1.36mln is pretty meaningful to me.
MT's a shrewd operator so what next for his massive investment in BOOM? Watch this space.
Ps Z7795 claiming his average is 980p is for the birds. He would have paid out £3.78mln if that were true. Zak's other claim was that Tobin purchased 33,000 shares at £19. Really! That would cost £620k. MT's biggest of his 101 buys was £59k.
I checked all rns's and found no evidence of these wild claims. I'm with you now Bearhunter in thinking Z7795 is the Lying King.
Looks like we got both ha
Tobin continues his buying spree
Why would MT not average over time? Not the smart move when the SP does not respond well to positive news? His commitment is substantial over time and shows no sign of stop. Is there an eg of another non-exec Chairman doing similar buys in another stock. Any comparable?
Perhaps others aren’t investing because they already hold a substantial position at a reasonable average and are put off being punched in the face by the SP each time they do.
Possibly a wild assumption that day to day management can afford to invest personally particularly when the value of the business they may hold their wealth opportunity in goes down on good news. Positive news in the main over the last year, the SP has gone down significantly. They have incentive based positions in the success. Their job is to keep delivering and they regularly do but the market punches them in the face every time they do. Whatever is keeping the price down, coordinated shenanigans or not.
I myself have said the same regarding purchases and even though Steve and co. have reiterated that Audioboom is undervalued, they have not bought too many shares themselves. Tobin is buying yes buy its pocket change to him.
Anyone else struggling to buy?
For a multimillionaire like Michael Tobin, are £10k purchases really a big thing? It’d be like me continuously investing £10 in Audioboom which I could do multiple times a month.
If we see more meaningful purchases or other directors buying, I’ll take notice
Amazon reported 24% growth in its advertising business on Tuesday.
It’s become a major revenue and profit driver for Amazon and a key player in the overall digital ad market.

I was waiting for the 200d level to add, in touching distance 220. I will add at the 200d or MT’s next buy, whichever comes first. Cash update is welcomed.
Hopefully we get some early month news, once people see a return to solid positive cash increase for Q2 then will see the rerate

They may also vest in certain other prescribed circumstances as provided for in the terms of the Scheme.
What 2 pound 40p very cheap options.
Agreed BBB.
Motivation for Stuart Last and Brad Clarke to get the wheels in motion for a rerate
Cancelled the £16 options as they have no confidence the price is ever going to get to those levels again, given some more in the money options that adds more selling pressure.
