Just noticed the 2 large purchases posted total 3M shares - someone certainly loading up it seems
I have to imagine that most holders are now doing just that - holding for more news. Still some large holders (TR1) who might wish to off load some more of course.
Holing?!
Holding :-)
JWB - my point is that they might not be able to purchase but I also take your point - director purchases always go down well.
As an aside your post below prompted me to go down memory lane on my holing here - first purchase 12/9/19 - I paid 2.44p a share. The first of many transactions - its been a journey.
I often read statements about directors buying shares on other stocks. The fact that they are not is probably down to one or more of the following reasons rather than a lack of confidence:
1. The are in a closed period and unable to buy - highly likely given the ongoing negotiation on Kochang
2. The don't have the cash to invest
3. They feel that they already have a sufficiently large financial stake
I personally think it's reason 1 - so that is actually a positive sign if I am correct.
Morning JWB - I don't post my transactions because that is my personal business - it would be almost like posting my bank statement. But I will say that I have been taking advantage of the current low SP to increase my holding and lower my average in the process - but then I have been both invested and posting here for years if you care to scroll back. I have also been critical only recently on the lack of progress - but all that has changed now.
I did ..bought 5,000,000 approx last week in chunks
Morning - let the journey to 2p continue :)
A lack of timeline from AB could actually help maintain the SP in the short term or next couple of months as news on Kochang could drop at time. If I am reading the situation correctly we are talking about negotiations and not field work and so they can proceed at pace if all parties want to. Let’s see!
Indeed skier - all looking very positive, even if it was very quiet on the chat front here today.
BMV closed at yet another YTD high today. A bullish sign.
Everyone loves gold.

Bluebird are active - just posted a link to an article on the divergence between gold and gold miners.......a further wave we can ride when we go into production
Looks like larger trade tickets might be being delayed again....
Positive start - look at the trades - ignore the colour and look at the price - buys reported as sales on here.
Pure speculation on my part but news of Kochang on similar terms alone could see this propelled to 2p and news on permissions granted 3p plus. I don’t normally stick my neck out on forecasting- just my view and reflecting on where the SP has been in the past on hope alone.
Should be another interesting week here. Watch for the games and think carefully before using stop losses. Will the big buys continue? We will find out soon!
ATB
Thanks Skier, do they mention duration of short term
In all the excitement I missed this bit.
"Combined open pit and underground production is targeted at +/- 200,000 oz p.a. of gold production which now represents an estimated gold export revenue of circa US$400 million per annum (assuming a gold price of $1,965/oz), which would today be Ethiopia's largest single export generator and a significant economic engine for local and regional benefits.
Ethiopia's largest single export generator. Can't get better than that.
Align Research predicting 1.2p to 1.4p for BMV next week.
Share Prophets have set a short-term price target for BMV of 2-4p. Currently, 1p.

I was surprised to see the 2.30pm rns saying they sold a chunk, at least buyers to mop it up.
A good week so pleased with bounce, thinking if they get a farm out for Kochang, BMV may consider splitting the Korean and Phillipine assets and even consider a dual quote on Korean exchange to get some Korean shareholders in, just an idea.
Good luck all
Lovely close today above the psychological 1p level. Soared an impressive +65% this week. Closed at its highest level for 10 months. Gold now leaping back toward the $2400 level. All very bullish signs for BMV.
Heading back up - 2363 - have to keep remembering the game we are really in
Could we see 1.2 by close ? Little Friday afternoon push
2 RNs released. They have reduced their holding. Hopefully selling done now.
