Youngest - Check out Youtube plenty of vids on Degiro Platfrom there
I don't know how to do that, post a link.if you go on degiro.nl and take it from there.
Good luck, be careful
Can somebody post link to degiro on line platform for trading. Sounds like it might be worth checking out! Thanks.
Oops , Torquay. Lucky I made the mistake on here, and not while selling..
Sold @ 1.19 - and made a profit - must get another calculator........
Another 1k sold @1.19.....net gain 185euro...watching the price rise...c'est la vie
Thanks Fatboy.... i have an account with them but have not traded ... i take it you are buying and selling online so no interaction with a dealer ....
Rocklawn, I use degiro. For me, finding it was magic, but it has a few small drawbacks.call it 90%good.they take 1 per cent stamp duty, fees to buy and sell, say 1k shares Birg about 6euro.compare that to Davy, fifty euro to buy,i think regardless of amount. Degiro and others have made it possible to buy and sell with relatively small changes in price.
I tend to buy in tranches of 1000shares. Sell when i am up 100(less costs of circa 24euro.
In the last two weeks I could have made much more by holding till today, but I have no means of seeing into the future, my smaller profits are in the bank.
These profits are liable to income tax.some people use spread betting, no tax, but I know little of it
Regards
Fatboyslim.... are you trading online and what fees to you pay ... stamp duty is 1% on Irish shares so im interested to know how you can make money on small trades... cheers
Not a lot of stock left in my cache.sold 1k@2.15.net gain of 135 euro, bought @1.98.had owned them since March
If Joe Biden gets elected - which he most probably will - and provided we have good news about a vaccine in the next month or two, then I can see this share hitting 3.50 or 4.00 by the end of 2021.
The Banks are stuffed with money. Ireland's banks are now the most secure in Europe with reserves of approx 13.5%.... Much greater reserves than anywhere else in Europe. The, EU and the ECB have forced Irish banks to have more safety measures in place than any other country owing to the 2008/2009 banking calamity.
People will want to take long holidays and more frequent weekends abroad in 2021.....to do this many people need to borrow. Population growth is the highest in EU along with France. People need a roof over their heads... More mortgages....
Provided Brexit concludes with a deal between the UK and the EU, which it will, BOI will rise substantially.
WTF?

popped in here at lunchtime, share hovering up near 2.06. So I put a cheeky sell order @2.08. Hey presto, that did not last long.
My remaining stock,in Degiro, is 2,700 shares , most of which cost 1.98 months ago. So I put another cheeky sell order for 1500@ 2.12.. My money bags are replenished from this weeks sales. Waiting for the oft forecast drop in markets.
I still have circa 5k shares in a brokers vault standing me 2.40 each. When they will come right I dont now. But I do know that this seven month binge on Degiro has paid for them, though i do look forward to them standing on their own feet.
GLA, FBS
Its holding up very well.
Decided to buy more AIB it will probably fly like this
Am not a big fan of AIB but i think there results will be better then BIRG sending the shares up 1.11 - 1.15
Spooky days ahead - Trump is going to do something crazy. Its a hard call here, It will probably end up hovering around 1.90. This dam virus will never go away just like the flu
there seems to be a glitch with this thread, several posts made today dont show on my screen
After buying 1 k shares @1.89,I bought another tranche, same price. Imagine my surprise when they rose 10 cent. They are now sold netting a gain of 154 euro. sold with them was my second last remaining tranche ,bought at 1.90.
Within minutes they were up a potential further gain of 30 euro, but that not for me,its for their new owner.
What strange movements lie ahead
GLA
Silver, will do..though generally I am a one pic pony,BIRG. I took two ventures into Ryanair, made 150euro in a week, each time.
Bought 1k Birg just now for 1.89
FB- You should look at AIB. on its H2 results went up to 1.15
FB, Take a look at aib - on its H2 it went up to 1.15
2.09 today
2k more away at 2.06,having been bought @1.90
They may well climb higher. I have more to sell.but best of luck to the new owner
Right, those 2k shares that did not get sold @2.01 are now sold @2.03 and 2.04. Fifty euro more profit, due to my mishandling of a sell order and your advise Silverhorse.
