Hi John, would you be interested in a chat over a coffee ?
GG,
the share buy back of 1 Bn, if true , should be a major boost to the sp as s/holding in place at end of buy back should be c 940/950 mill as opposed to the current 1.056Bn , reduction of 10% in share issue to result in 10% plus to sp. No of shares being removed from the table will be 8 times greater than last year which should result in shares being held more tightly ( fewer being traded) which should result in upward pressure on the SP.
Assuming buy back figure is 1 Bn my read is that c 800/825million of this represents the return of the surplus capital long talked about. This equates to less than 80c per share ( if offered by way of div or cash) . Alternative is by way of share buy back which is being commented on by goodbody and which should result in SP increasing by at least 10% to reflect reduced no of shares in issue. 10% of current sp is 86c so pretty much even steven.
In medium term I think the buy back to be more beneficial than cash return .
Total narcissistic garbage pi## off
As posted already - communications skills seriously lacking.
"I never mentioned buy backs, never assume .." You referred to every other prediction-so why not buy backs.? ? none taking place logical deduction.
"blaming EVERYONE else as being the...". Only narcissist being yourself. SINGULAR
You REALLY should get rid of the rear view mirror. It is obviously affecting health, judgement etc. cynicism and narcissism to be the least of your problems if you persist looking backwards.
No doubt you have amended your SP prediction to read from €7.04 through to €11.03. Such a prediction never seen
Hi John - Looking positive now i expect a sharp jump up tomorrow, over 9euros. My target is 9.47euros not to say it might go higher, best not be greedy. my BARC buy 1.44p probably sell 1.74p, it will be up around 1.69p tomorrow. GGP bit of a nightmare thank god i did not go in big bit of a punt on your tip ! UFO bit of a nightmare to- but on the positive side Native Title was granted on 14.12.23. -Mining Lease is coming very soon profit 18million next year and years after more likely, can see 0.60 easy short term,, great assets worth millions, but agree risky but it will come slow
Classic narcissist blaming everyone else as being the narcissist
Fake news narcissist
Not only are you a complete narcissist you’re a boring narcissist
I never mentioned buy backs don’t ever assume anything
Cuckoo,
you appear to be seriously lacking in communication skills, among other things.
As already posted your 12.12 post makes no reference to share buy backs so the logical deduction from that is there are to be no buy backs. you confirmed PBT, Div and a magnaminous SP range. If you expected a share buy back you would have posted so. No mind readers on this board.
For a man who spends his life looking through the rear mirror you would be the expert on narcissism. In fact the logical deduction is you are the narcissist. My referencing the rear view mirror is not being jocular - just giving very good advise. Follow the adviseof Inspector Clouseau.
"So what did the market find out today " - Goodbody's comments are simply COMMENTS - they are not factual and will or will NOT be confirmed until next week. Are you telling us the market responds to gossip ? Both banks have been stating for the last 12/15 months about their intention to return surplus capital which probably explains the 20% drop in the BIRG SP in last 11 months !!!
/
As for you lickass53 are you so stupid that you believe the market only found out today LOL
Your such a complete narcissist
You were talking about buybacks I never mentioned buybacks as per your post
Narcissist
"who told you that you complete narcissist". YOU DID per your post of 21 Feb at 12.12. As memory does not seem to be the best let me remind you ;
PBT - 2.95 Bn - subsequently amended to 2.295 Bn.
48c div.
SP between 8.1 and 9.6. are you amending this to between 7.04 and 11.03.
Market buying the rumour at any rate
Christ, John that's an extraordinary weighting towards buy back, let's hope it's not correct but BOI have form here. 300 million distribution is as bad as last year.
*it’s not typical BOI behaviour
Flipping Buybacks again!
I would much prefer a dividend, anyone with their shares in a pension does not pay tax on dividends.
What happened to a share dividends as an income?
Still €1.3B returned seems high, it typical BOI behaviour…..
GLA
Hi John H , would you be interested in going for a pint sometime?
Why do narcissists repeat themselves?
They find it difficult to be spontaneous when having a conversation and rely on the same one or two jokes.
That explains your rear view mirror joke you used it 47 times so far
I laugh at you
“You don’t expect a share buyback”
Who told you that you complete Narcissist
So ,Cooking, you don't expect a share buy back announcement in coming results.
As regards your SP prediction I take it you are aware that in the last 52 weeks BIRG has traded in the range of 7.04 - 11.03 so maybe you might wish to amend the SP prediction.
Goodbody came out with some interesting comments this morning.
BIRG ; They comment that they expect a total shareholder distribution of 1.3 Bn comprising 300 mill cash div and 1 Bn in share buy back. This would be an extraordinary scale of buy back representing well over 10% of the current share issue would be surprised if SP didn't hit 10 in very near future if such a buy back announced.
They also comment that BIRG trades at 0.9TNAV and at a discount to AIB. Undervalued.
AIB ;They expect at least 1.4Bn returned to shareholders in form of 300 mill cash and balance in share buy backs
They comment that SP completely divorced from fundamentals.
.
HSBC posted 80% increase in PTP which rose to 24Billion sterling. Only 4 days until full year BOI results. Looking good?
Lloyds results this morning probably helped
WELL TODAY
performance surely needs positive comments !!!!!
We've moved on from mundane stuff like shares to the more philosophical aspects of life I'm afraid. Pip pip.
WHEN do you BoI shareholders actually discuss shares???? What rubbish, time wasting below.
I was hoping that you weren't making fun of people with autism, how naive of me. Shame on you.
